   Very disappointing, we went for our friends 70's birthday treat and found it very 'ordinary' for the price we paid. After we got home we found we were charged $9.50 for a bottle of water on top if the $85 we paid for 3 savoury and 3 sweet servings and a glass of sparkling wine. We were expecting the lounge to be more glitzy, it was just like a foyer with peopls on laptops and having meetings! We also expected to be treated with delicious treats, the 3 savoury bites didn't taste fresh and we all thought you needed to add at least 1 hot savoury bite. To top if off 2 very loud speaking ladies were seated very close to us even though the room was practically empty. Overall very disappointing and I would not recommend it to anyone.

   the food was absolutely delicious. But can't say the same about the presentation. Surely, a High Tea suggests beautiful bone china cups and saucers, tea pot, milk jug, sugar bowl......to be at The Ritz, very expensive, and to be served with very, very ordinary crockery that you would get in any cafe was disappointing to say the least. The presentation is large part of the point of High Tea.

   Having been to several High Teas the food was nice but very sparse. Service was lacking, waiting for 10 -15 mins for a Cuppa Tea, the Champagne service however was excellent. There was a long delay between courses. The cups & tea pot were very average for a High Tea & for the cost you would expect to have nice Chinaware not standard Hotel cups.

   I always look forward to special dining experiences and this was to celebrate 2 birthdays. When we first arrived, staff were attentive but as the restaurant filled, staff were not paying attention to our dietary requirement, we sat for a while without first drinks coming out within the first 15mins. At one stage, we noticed that all other tables had their second serve provided and my friend and myself looked a little bewildered. We dine out at many high end restaurants so the service side & staff paying attention is important. I would have liked more traditional high tea savouries but it was heavy on the more sugary cakes. Madeline’s were really dry and over cooked. The savoury dishes were great and very tasty. Highlight was the specialty cakes, the blue chocolate balls filled with mandarin white chocolate filling was amazing. Overall, for the price of this high tea, I expected more. It was a lovely afternoon but I think for me, it may be a one time visit.

   You'd be a Mad-hatter if you miss the 'Winter Wonderland" Afternoon tea at Hearth. But make like the white rabbit who is late for a very important date as this menu is only on for a limited time. Camembert custard tarts, crumbed Sharks Bay prawns, Wagin duck sandwiches, snow lamington pavlova are just some of the treats on the menu. All of these were paired with local teas from Margaret River and some WA sparkling wines. And seamless service from the staff at Ritz-Carlton! A great way to spend an afternoon.

   Service was under par, lack attentiveness considering that restaurant was not full. When seated, we were asked what type of water we wanted, before we could answer, waitress was gone, they did not even ask which package high tea we wanted even after food was served. We had to call waitress to let them know that we don't have our drinks yet. However, we must add that even with the above, all wait staff were very polite. Unfortunately, there was a huge table that were there at the same time as us doing some fashion parade and sales and marketing of sorts, hence the venue was a little noisier to our liking.

    I had reserved a table for high tea for 4 and I had secured the booking with my credit card but when we arrived we were told there was no room left for us. So we were seated in a room next door all by ourselves with absolutely no atmosphere. The food came out on small plates not the tiered cake stands I was expecting. I would never go back.

    I have been to ritz for high tea & it was delightful unfortunately this time the service was poor & I was very dissatisfied .. It took sometime before we were serviced. The gentieman who Seemed to be in charge was dreadful no idea how to deal with people . Don’t think I will be back

    We had such high hopes, having looked and heard other reviews, but it fell short of our expectations. Things like frayed linen napkins and having to ask for cutlery and clean plates were things we didn't expect to find fault with. The scones were dry and crumbling. We would go back to our favourite afternoon tea spot, The Wildflower at The Como, Treasury. Sorry, but their food and service are far superior.

    It was awful too much sweet not enough savoury, sweet was very heavy too many kids, not told we needed to request tea and coffee until almost over we kept expecting tea to be served. Difficult to get servers attention went through to bar afterward… more kids we even moved our seats to let in more visitors and they were three kids no adults so we were shifted . We thought it was for a large group… no adults kids on devices feet on chair and three kids took up space for 8 adults. Another customer came in with NO SHOES then staff started carting cushions past us to outside and our seats we were “moved to “ were on the other side of toilet corridor so noisy and coldit was an absolute waste of time and money… total bill was $380 for two of us the cocktails were tasty but after first two the glasses were much smaller I have been to many high teas and afternoon drinks in many venues in Perth I won’t be back … for any reason

    High tea is always a challenge. Unfortunately this was disappointing. I had expected the Ritz Carlton would have been outstanding. The food looked good but didn’t taste as it looked. It was ‘ok’ nothing was outstanding or wow to taste. Sandwich was showing signs it had been sitting too long. Special signature cake dry and the gluten free option - for $75 very poor. The scone was good, gf cakes were very ordinary.

    I visited Hearth before Christmas 2021 and had the High T with girlfriends - it was one of the best High t I've experienced. I thought to bring my mother back for the same experience however the food was lacking in depth from my prior visit and one sandwich I had was unsatisfactory. The bread was left out too long- I suppose-as it was hard/crusty on one side. The food was delicious what we had. The two hour time limit that I wasn't aware of until 15 minutes prior to being told to leave the table. It wasn't necessary as there were plenty of tables spare. The coffee and tea was not free flowing as I had to ask for tea at the conclusion of our visit and the coffee (1 cup ) I had to ask for also. Waitress was friendly and efficient but not to the caliber you would expect.

    Ritz customer service was impeccable. The staff were just on point with every request (Table of 13 so plenty of requests). The food was delicious (Afternoon Tea) and the sparkling was just as divine. Highly recommend.

    Costs more than most other high teas in Perth and wasn’t any nicer than other hotels offering the same food/drink service. $25 more per person than most other high teas I’ve been to, and some food was dry or not pleasant. Lovely venue and location but.

    Very disappointed and underwhelmed by the whole experience. The food was below average, don’t bother with the vegan option, hard bread, poor savoury options and lack of imagination. Cakes were good but limited. The ambiance and table setting was unimpressive, we were sat on lounges with a table in the middle which meant we were quite far away from each other, it was very hard to talk and eat. I’ve been to many a high tea and high tea at the Ritz should be exquisite and luxury, this was anything but. Would not recommend this experience. Really disappointed

    Service needs work. Very attentive f+b attendant who initially seated us at our table, offered us our drinks and served us our first set of meals. Then he was taken away to serve the other half of the room. Larger tables seated around us were continuously topped up their water, offered refreshments, while we (a small table of 2) was walked past numerous times. We waiting almost 45 minutes between the first course and second. Gin cocktail and the hearth iced tea were really delicious! Food was good - would have preferred more savoury items. Coffee we ordered was very salty tasting, rather odd. The birthday chocolates were a thoughtful touch. Overall a nice experience, but wouldn’t rave about the service or the food. Beautiful setting however, the room looked beautiful overlooking the quay.

    Went there for a birthday high tea on Easter Sunday. Server advised the table that our tea and coffee orders had already been taken but this had not happened. I feel like 2 hours is not enough and my guests were still eating and drinking and would have spent more money had the staff not kicked us out of the venue at 230pm. Food was good but overall not great value for money.

    Well, for the high price and considering expectations of the Ritz Carlton, this was disappointing for us. The savoury food was quite nice and tea and coffee were good. The desserts were not nice at all - either lacking flavour or not particularly palatable. Hot cross buns with jam and smoky butter - not a great combination. But it is all a matter of opinion and taste I suppose. 🤷

    The food wasn't bad however the poor service overshadowed the whole experience. When we arrived we had three separate servers come up to explain the exact same thing, the menu, so clearly there was a lack of communication. It then took 30 minutes before someone came and asked if we would like the food now - we had assumed the food would just come once we were seated as it wasn't explained any other way. A table beside us who arrived later were served first. Then once the food was delivered no one came to check on our table again. We had to call someone over to get a refill on the tea, which was forgotten, so we had to order again. We've been to quite a few high teas around the city and this would have been my least favourite, yet the most expensive. The lack of attention ruined the experience unfortunately.

    I had the gluten free menu - every morsel was sensational. I was even made an iced tea upon request, and I always have my favourite pawpaw mocktail, it's worth paying the extra for it! Staff were lovely and attentive and ambience was beautiful with no issue hearing conversation. There was no hurry for us to leave and I love that the menu changes regularly which gives me more reason to return!

    It was just fine....food was nice but not outstanding and the service was the same. Certainly not up to the standard I expected from the Ritz. When we were leaving it was not possible to split the bill and my friend had to put the entire amount on her card. One of my other friends needed to get some change to pay her back and the girl told her to go and try reception or at the bar. I felt this was very inhospitable and she could have gone and changed the note for her. I just felt like nobody really cared and there was no effort to make anyone feel special.

    My Mum and I had a lovely time I am more a savory person so only thing is I would have liked more savory snacks
