We dined at Hazel for my birthday on one of their set menus. The food was delicious, and came out at regular intervals, spaced very well. The service was fantastic and cocktails and wines were always filled!
Highly recommend Hazel!
Amazing service, ambience, food and catered to dietary requirements brilliantly. A wonderful ladies lunch for a 70th birthday celebration.
Food lacked flavour
Such a beautiful new building, wow! The service was perfect, the food so tasty! We had an amazing dinner for 4 girlfriends.
A lovely restaurant, spacious, elegant, convivial and engaging. A lovely menu with well prepared and cooked food. A delight to spend the evening with friends and loved ones over food.
Outstanding service by truly professional wait staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience offered at Hazel. We chose the tasting menu, and were not disappointed. The staff delivered the meals in a timely manner, and were knowledgeable about what was being presented and wine suggestions. The ambience was just beautiful.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back there again to experience all that Hazel has to offer!
Lovely food and exceptional service in a beautiful setting
Such a beautiful space. The food and service were amazing, would highly recommend.
Love the ambience.
Food was amazing and great value too
10/10 experience. I couldn’t recommend Hazel any higher
Excellent atmosphere. Food was less exciting than expected.
Service was great. Atmosphere was fantastic, but the Food was super blend. Would I go back for a drink? Yes. Would I go back for food? Maybe in a year’s time when they have redesigned the menu.
The Halloumi and Pork dishes were a standout!
Friendly and knowledgeable waiters.
Great to watch the kitchen while dining at the bar.
We had such a lovely night out at Hazel, such a beautiful setting and the staff were very professional and knowledgable . Would highly recommend and look forward to returning
Fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great wines, lovely food.
Fantastic service in a gorgeous venue. Didn't enjoy the blanc de blance bottle of sparkling I ordered - it was really sweet - so the waitress replaced it and only charged for what we had drunk. Really lovely spot and the fish in miso butter was soooo good.
I don't know what happened. My friends was there before Covid and everything was excellent. It's completely different story now.
Fresh, tasty food full of soul. Menu changes with seasons and produce with a no waste philosophy. Great service. Will be back!
Awesome staff and backed up with fabulous and contemporary food flavours. Definitely a return visit soon.
First time at Hazel but we loved it and will certainly be back. Food different and spectacular and service by friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff. It was busy and a bit noisy which was the only minor issue.
Yes, in this “produce driven” restaurant, the quality of the produce is exceptional but it’s not really enough.
We had the extended chefs menu and got to try a wide selection of the food but nothing was memorable. We like simple food done well but this was just underwhelming. The heirloom tomatoes were, well, just tomatoes with a little shiso dressing. The zucchini and “leaves” were so scantily dressed we wondered if something was missing.
It was like going to a friends house who happens to have a great veggie patch and can throw together a lovely fresh casual lunch. But it’s not the gastronomic experience we expected for $95.00 per head.
Speaking of lunch, maybe this restaurant, and the diners, would look better during the day with the advantage of some natural light because at night, downstairs at the tables, it’s all a very unflattering beige on beige theme. If you are taking a date, sit at the downstairs bar where the lighting is kinder.
The staff are capable and friendly , the house bread is delicious and the wine list is very good.
Booked in for my partner’s birthday dinner and was very disappointed. Did not enjoy the food and I think the music was too loud.
I have eaten at many fine dining places in Melbourne and was very dissapointed in the fact that they charge $8 for their bread when it is normally a given when fine dining. The plates were extremely small for the price and the heating was way too high to enjoy the experience.
A lovely space, nice variety but simple wine list, attentive service!
Excellent food and beautiful atmosphere. Very impressed.
Stunning fit out - exceptional food and friendly and professional service
Fantastic service and ambience - fully worth it and we will be back
Wonderful quality food, well informed wait staff and overall a really nice experience
The fantastic service was only surpassed by the amazing food! An easy 5 stars.
Food was so delicious, and the 95 chef menu was the perfect amount of food. Would definitely eat there again! I'd come back just for the killer potatoes... drool!
Although the Menu seems to have changed very recently (with the departure of the Head Chef) and they did not have the very interesting "On Toast" selections I had read about and intended to order I still enjoyed the experience - it is the type of restaurant that Melbourne does very well.
Fabulous service, delicious food and a lovely setting! Definitely recommend.
Friendly and professional staff. We enjoyed the degustation and it was a perfect amount of food. Everything was delicious. The decor is gorgeous
Very elegant room, very spaced tables, beautiful food, just realised afterwards that it was actually very difficult to digest, due to butter and cream, I suppose. the wines by the glass choice could be a bit more extensive
Very nice pretty place, good food good vibe. I’ll go and try special menu next time.
The dishes were well gradated and addressed all tastes as well as each offering
interesting ingredients combined to produce a really memorable experience.
We had a great meal, and throughly enjoyed our meat-dominant food. We would need a few more vegetarian/vegan options, though, before we could bring some of our friends.
The sommelier was great, friendly and knowledgeable.
We’ll certainly be back.
Really enjoyed the experience. Good restaurant and not too squashy.
Outstanding. The grilled fish was perfection and so were the Kepler potatoes.
