This was our first visit to Havana Central and we will definitely be back. The food and drinks were very good.Our server Jamiah (hope I spelled that correctly) was phenomenal. She was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant.

This place is short staffed and can tell employees over worked. Overall bartender and waiter were nice. Food was great.

Disappointed that patio was not open due to shortage of staff however staff that were there worked hard to pick up slack including manager who served and bussed tables. Food as always was delicious!

The service here is always good. They always accommodate our special requests. Really good food. Drinks are pricey - best to go during happy hour. They need to bring back the lechon bar special (better yet, as a regular entree).

I have always liked Havana Central. I know some menu changes have been made that I do not like. They no longer have Yucca - strange move for a Cuban restaurant. Also, the chips from the chips and guac appetizer were stale. They used to have plantain chips which were much better. Also, the vegetable paella is gone too. The ambiance and location are the best thing I can say about it. I used to come here often but no so much anymore because of the changes. I do realize the restaurant industry has been hit hard by COVID so I can somewhat understand.

That said we understand people miss some of their favorite items so we've started adding a monthly special, which started this month with the Pineapple Chicken. Decor was nice and service okay but knew they were short staffed like most restaurants at this time.
Enjoyed the sampler appetizer especially the empanadas and sweet plantains. Meal was good but I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was. Most likely wouldn’t go back.

Went to celebrate a friends passing the Board exam. There were 10 of us and it took a while to get our drinks. The restaurant wasn’t too busy but still left like we were waiting a while.
The bill was more than I expected it to be and the food was decent, but not worth the price.

My family and I used to love this place. Unfortunately, the menu has been trimmed down significantly from what it was before. Three out of 7 were extremely disappointed that they were no longer offering Mofongo or their famous plantain chips (Mariquitas).
Also, the tostones in my sister in-law's meal were not fully cooked.
I hope they go back to their full menu. Otherwise, I will probably not be returning anytime soon.

Expensive. You could get bigger portions, better quality, for less at plenty of Cuban restaurants in NJ.

This is a restaurant that “feels” tired and disappoints.
Crooked plastic barriers remains between tables.
Many tables are poorly cleaned with food remains on them and chairs.
I ordered the combo ribs and wings with all the sauces on the side. Came out covered in sweet sauces.
Chicken dishes were bland.
One bright spot were the Mojitos.
Service was average but after dinner the table was never cleared prior to dessert.
Poor training, poor cleaning and poor food. Avoid this place until management decides to try harder.

The service was horrible. The waitress was acting like she was scared to take orders or interact with us. She had on her mask which was fine but the plastic gloves… looked so tacky and dirty. She stood like 10 feet away from our table to take our order. She took forever to bring our drinks and appetizers… which were cold by the time we got them. It was a Father’s Day gone so wrong. We asked for a manager and he came out and spoke with her and went back inside. What was messed up is that we heard him say to her …your table asked for a manager and she said she didn’t know anything about it. Which she didn’t because she never came back to check on us. Long story short our food wasn’t the best and mine was under cooked . So another manager came out and tried to make things right but by then the whole mood and experience was ruined and my family had already eaten and I was waiting for my food to be recooked for the third time…

I made a 6:30 reservation for Father’s Day but we ended up not being at the mall as long as planned. I went in to see if they could let me in early around 4:30 (place was not full). Was told they would mark me as present and could get me in around 15 to 20 minutes. I called back 30 minutes later to ask where I was and they told me another 15 to 20 minutes. By this time my husband is fed up so we walk in and see all these people getting seated. About 5 min later after my husband talks to the hostess we finally get seated. Hostess had an attitude. The dinner started off on the wrong tone. Waitress was really nice though and I enjoyed my food, my husband not so much. I think he already had a bad taste in his mouth (no pun intended) from the seating situation

It was our first time visiting this restaurant, as we made reservations for Father's Day. To be honest, I was not impressed at all. The food was just okay. My husband was being greedy and knew we went there with "no budget", so we ordered a few different things off the menu to try it all out. The chicken chicharrons were the exactly the same as the chicken wings (which weren't even wings, just jiggly chicken thighs). If they were out of something on the menu, the waiter should have warned us the exact item would come out twice instead of us order 2 servings of the same thing. The food and drinks were paced very poorly. The appetizers took forever to come out, but then our entrees were ready 2 minutes after the appetizers. I wasn't impressed with the food at all. If I were to go back, it would be strictly for a cocktail. No complaints with our drinks.

I understand that the restaurant may be understaffed but we went at a slow time and it still took almost an hour to get our food. Once we got the food it had no flavor and it wasn’t even hot. I was excited to try a new restaurant but I was disappointed overall.

The environment was ok the seating is tight our server was friendly yet the shrimp portions are very small however, the happy hour red sangria was good. It was my first time there not quite considering returning.

The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."

Service was terrible, no water or silverware and plates served even after food was served…cannot believe this. I had to go to the hostess and request for plates…appetizers and main course was delivered together so my dinner was cold by the time my appetizer got over

Birthday. Our server Teri was pleasant, funny and a great server. Although she apologized for any delays, they were minimal considering she and only 1 other were waiting on tables in the entire restaurant!

Food was delicious. However, service was rushed, waitress was not attentive, bought check before getting cocktails that were ordered. I have decided to pay with cash and after 20 minutes, waitress stated they had no change so I will have to give another form of payment. Overall disappointed, will not go back.
