Harvest Ratings and Reviews
Welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Seating nicely spaced between tables. Menu small but select and simply outstanding. We had oysters, Kingfish ceviche, Lamb with potatoes and cabbage sides, desserts of lemon & olive oil cake and cheese plate. Perfection. Wait staff friendly, generous and knowledgable. Each course served well spaced and beautifully presented with elegance and care. Could not fault this experience. Can't mpleteky understand why this outstanding team win the awards they do.
Harvest had a nice ambience, when sitting on the balcony,
The menu was interesting reading. However, there could have been more on the plate for the dollar.
Service was not great. Appritifs were late, had to re-ask for the entree wine, tables were never wiped down of red oil stains. Main meal was very salty & unpalatable. I mentioned it to the waiter he was sour faced and said "no one else has complained". He proceeded to apologise, but no discount of freebies were offered. 😡
We opted for "shared plates"so that we could experience a wider taste of this interesting menu. Was interested in the "foraging" items and was not disappointed. Of the 6 dishes that we shared - Oysters and Prawns were the stand out. Love this place. Been coming back over last 10 years and it keeps getting better.
Have never had a bad experience dining here. They were particularly amazing to us during a recent celebration dinner. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. The food and wine is incredible, and the atmosphere is perfect. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough - it is exceptional!
It was my fiancé’s birthday. The waitress that primarily serves us was rude towards us, not friendly although was being friendly to other tables, reacted with a judgemental
Look when I did not order alcohol as I don’t drink, and overall made the evening unpleasant despite amazing food!
My daughter and I were staying in Myocum and just before we were due to leave for Harvest Cafe, the Heavens broke. Thunder, lightning, heavy rain. We drove through mist and slippery roads. We were greeted by beautiful staff, treated like royalty and loved our meal. Thank you Harvest. Linda
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped inside. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and the rest of the staff were very friendly. The food got better and better (if that is possible) with every course that we had. The wines paired beautifully. It was very exciting to be dining there the night that Harvest was awarded a chef's hat! Congrats!
We have been there twice now. And it has been the best food ever. How can you make simple things like potatos so absolutely amazing, actually all the side vegetables were amazing. Everything was amazing food, cocktail, coffee, staff, the lot. Can’t wait to go for another drive to Newrybar. The best restaurant ever.
For a knockout meal to share Harvests slow cook lamb shoulder is outrageously good.
Perfect for a coeliac, this dish would honestly be the best lamb I've experienced.
Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.
Beautiful staff who are happy and professional always make dining more enjoyable. Thanks Harvest!
Food is absolutely delicious! Way too slow with drinks though. My husband would have ordered a third beer, but no one came to see if his empty glass would need a refill. We couldn’t catch a staff members attention & our meal was almost finished, so we just let it go!!
Having eaten here on previous holidays, we booked in for dinner for my partner's 40th. I mentioned it was his birthday when I made the reservation weeks earlier. To my surprise, when my partner's dessert came out, so did some singing wait staff. It was a nice touch.
Entrees (pumpkin custard for me and ceviche for partner) were both excellent as were our mains (lamb for me, kangaroo for him). Desserts also good (& cabbage side).
Only downside - terrible smell from bathrooms for balcony tables!
visited harvest during lunchtime because i found the menu to have a few options that i loved over the dinner menu.
everything came out promptly and did not disappoint.
preferred the entrees over the mains (which took about 30mins, as there was a large party that arrived after us)
loved the ambience of the place and the service staff were friendly and helpful.
A disappointing night out. We had eaten here for some time and although the staff were great the prices have sky rocketed and definitely no longer good value for money. We won't eat here again. We are professionals with good incomes but won't pay exorbitant prices for average food. Again the staff were knowledgeable and friendly in fact some of the best Ive seen but very very disappointed in the value for money.
We enjoyed Harvest food, however we waited ONE HOUR for our main meals. The waiters didn’t say anything/notice until the 50min mark of the wait. Was not impressed with the response after waiting so long for food. The restruant was not extremely busy at the time either.
Lovely setting in the village, and convincing concept well executed.
The cooking did not quite live up to the concept however. The broth served with the oyster was cold and too fishy for our taste. The sous-vide chicken was actually really dry, served with unseasoned carrota.
The dessert ice cream was a stand out, but a lot of the lovely concept gets lost throughout the degustation, ie couldn't taste kelp in ice cream or cumin eucalypt "dust" on chicken. Needs more perfection.
We have had varying levels of service and food over our many visits to Harvest but this time was exceptional, the service was faultless there was very little waiting time between drinks and food and the waiters were friendly and made us feel welcome where before it hasn't always been the case.
We had breakfast which was delicious, however the hot chocolate and the coffee were tepid, luke warm at best. I asked for a second coffee and commented on the first one being cold, the second cup was perfect and i was only charged for one. Highly recommend the ocean trout dish for breakfast, healthy and plenty, the scrambled egg with it were the fluffiest i ever had!Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient.
Second time for lunch. Second time there for a girls weekend same as first, and much better this time. Food was spot on recommendations were great. Was raining lots but loved it. And their local FIzz by the glass was to die for. I take my food seriously and I was impressed.
