Harvest Moon Brewery/Cafe
Just had appies and beers.
The beers were very good, but not outstanding.
Pork Belly Sliders were phenomenal.
Buffalo Brussel Sprouts were excellent.
Giant Pretzel Braid is always good.
Our service was super fast, even though the place was packed.
Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first time at Harvest Moon.
We were visiting for the Michigan State/Rutgers football game and were looking for something close to the train station.
Sebastian was pretty good; attentive but a little in a hurry.
If he relaxes a little, he would be exemplary!
We were out of towners coming in to celebrate my husbands birthday with good beer + food. Beer was great but food was undercooked, and service was terrible.
Great Sunday/weekend brunch spot if you're looking to have a more typical, relaxed restaurant atmosphere compared to a more lively experience that certain brunches tend to provide. I enjoy both, but of course certain groups/occasions warrant one more the other.
Meal arrived cold and I was really looking forward to the salmon!
We had a reservation for 5:45 pm. We told the manager we had theater tickets for 7 pm (a block away) and she said that would be fine, they had a lot of people there before the theater. That should have been plenty of time. The table was ready a few minutes later. We ordered around 6 or 6:05 pm. By 6:40 our food had not come (not complicated orders) . The waitress said that the kitchen had been tending to a big party upstairs. We had to ask the manager, who checked and said it would be ready in 5-10 minutes, but we had to say we were going to be unable to eat it. So we just paid for our drinks and had to leave. I would not go there again.
Bad night? Maybe, but the place felt like a refrigerator, we, and our neighbors, were ignored for 10 minutes before any action. Won’t go back but I am hoping for everyone it was just an “off” night
Service was extremely slow, even after informing the wait staff that we had a 7:00 show to attend.
convenient to the theater, good prices and many choices. Also has vegan options.
I have eaten at the Harvest Moon many times, usually on our way to a performance at the State Theater. This, however, was by far my best experience.
We were seated immediately upon arrival for our 6:00 reservation. Because our table was in an out-of-the-way corner, we could easily have been forgotten, but Phil--the manager--made sure that did not happen, even pitching in to help the very busy wait staff. The food was delicious, from a burger, to pumpkin ravioli, to steak, and we left for the State happy and satisfied. I highly recommend having a meal at Harvest Moon before your next trip to the State!
Great! Def will be back
Loved the beer and enjoyed the food! A great meal!
Wait staff seemed new and unsure but ee were ok with that. Early dinner so no crowd and not noisy. Food good, steak very tender.
Great food, drink and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I had a really good dinner here. The food was delicious. I had the pad thai which was one of the best I had in NJ. My boyfriend had the the burger. I had a bite and it was very juicy and tasty. I would definitely come again. Great casual date night or if you don't want to cook at home!
I've been to Harvest Moon more than dozen time and the food is always excellent. This Sunday night I had my favorite appetizer the crab and avocado, every bit was delicious. I also ordered the Atlantic Salmon, which was perfectly cooked. The potions here are always big so it allowed me have nice lunch tomorrow. This is the place I always recommend to friends and family.
Dinner for 6 prior to a comedy show at the Stress Factory. Menu has something for everyone. Attentive service. They brew their own beer here and it was good. Got our evening off to a good start.
The server was not attentive got charged for 2 extra drinks and the servers would
Not initially believe it. Eventually they corrected the check but we had to wait for it.
