We are co-located with Calabria Family Wines at the top of Magnolia Rd just outside of the township of Tanunda and our elevated aspect provides fantastic views across the valley floor. Being set amongst the vines in the heart of the region and with wide open lawn areas we provide a wonderful opportunity to escape, relax and unwind.
Harvest Kitchen is open throughout the day serving lunch until late 7 days a week and dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Amazing, little bit pricey for me but it really was amazing from the waiters to the chefs!!
Amazing food and service. They were happy to cater our requests, and the Feed Me Like a Barossan selection is excellent value. The team really helped make our anniversary special, thank you!
We had an absolutely excellent dinner at Harvest Kitchen. Everything we ordered we amazing and the service was great. I will definitely return when next in the Barossa and will struggle to go anywhere else for dinner!
Food was outstanding. Scenery is amazing. Great atmosphere
The food was highly over priced & mostly unenjoyable.
The $14 kids pizza was terrible & definitely not worth the money.
Definitely needs refining if it is to keep up with the ever growing food industry in the Barossa.
Hi Anon, Thanks for the feedback and I'm sorry that you found our food this way. We work very hard on sourcing fantastic local ingredients to create dishes that deliver on both taste and value. Our kids pizza is made using a sourdough base with a house made sugo, SA mozzarella and is cooked in a wood oven. I'm sorry you found it terrible but we have received a large amount of positive feedback and I stand by it as being a fantastic kids meal option and really good value.
Staff were good and the restaurant had good ambience. Food was acceptable, eggplant was good, but the charred squid was tough, and the croutons were tooth-crackingly hard. When I reported this to a waitress, she replied that croutons are supposed to be hard, however she said she would tell the chef. There is a difference between crispy and tooth-cracking hard.
Must go! Must eat! Was a delicious lunch out on the deck enjoying the sunshine. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and wine and have already recommended you to everyone I know heading your way!!
"Feed me like a Barossan" is one of the best meals I've ever had. Huge amounts of fresh, delicious food cooked to perfection. They expertly catered to our dietary requirements and the wait staff were delightful. Would highly recommend making this restaurant a must attend in the Barossa.
Absolutely brilliant view, awesome food, and a collection of beverages that perfectly compliment the food and the Barossa Valley. Little bit pricey, but I'm stingy, so if money isn't a problem I would definitely recommend this place!
Would highly recommend this restaurant - superbly cooked food and vegetables. Innovative and beautifully presented vegetarian offering.
We had the Feed Me menu and it was amazing. It was great to have the opportunity to sample so many dishes. Highly recommended this option.
Fantastic location, great food and very accommodating of our 3 year old. Highly recommend ‘Eating as a Barossan’ and let the chefs take you on a degustation delight!
Absolutely fantastic venue.
Only the 2nd time that we have been there but it certainly won't be the last.
Great staff who are very friendly and they seem to know what they are talking about.
Congratulations on your fantastic venue.
gorgeous views and even more gorgeous food - unpretentious, generous, interesting and absolutely delicious.
Great evening dining with the “Feed me like a Barrossan” menu option. Lots of fresh ingredients and great flavours. Washed done with a nice Shiraz. Only regret is that we didn’t have room for dessert.
This restaurant made our weekend. Our group of 4 made a reservation based on the fact Harvest had a good review from parents, and after seeing the menu we were keen as a bean to visit.
Harvest is a beautifully ambient setting, comfortable, relaxed, yet chic and modern.
The service was impeccable; drinks orders, food orders, general information, everything flowed smoothly throughout the night.
We were recommended to share 8 plates between 4 people. It was hard to pick with so many wonderful items in the menu.
We started with the Caponata. It was incredible, and one of our highlight dishes.
We followed that with a myriad of other tasty plates, ending up at Beef Cheeks. We thankfully ordered 2 plates thanks to our servers recommendation; 4 people, need 2 plates, otherwise it's just not enough of this devine dish. So yummy, so rich, so gelatinous. This was our key highlight dish.
Thank you for filling our bellies Harvest.
We will be back.
This is the third time we have eaten at Harvest Kitchen and the food has been incredible each time. This time we tried different dishes which were all as delicious.
I would have to say the best restaurant in SA.
Beautiful shared dinner for my bestfriends bridal weekend!
Great food and amazing service (:
This was an excellent experience. We had been recommended Harvest Kitchen and were very impressed. The young Kiwi lady had excellent wine knowledge, was very personable and made it a very fun experience. Our waitress was excellent as well and very accommodating. We will be recommending Harvest Kitchen to all our friends and will visit again when we are back in South Australia. Just drinking a bottle of your Prosecco as I write this review, you will do very well as a business if you maintain this level of service. Well done
A little disappointed on a beautiful day in the Barossa they wouldn’t allow us to be seated on their amazing deck to have our lunch. The food was plentiful and good variation but the knowledge of the staff seemed limited regarding the wine and disinterested towards our experience
We went for the feed me like a Barossan option and we were blown away. The food was faultless and exceptional value. If you are looking for a wonderful meal in the Barossa this is a brilliant choice.
Food, atmosphere and service were all fantastic and we are looking forward to returning 😊
Fabulous food , great service enjoyed the experience very much.
The food was very disappointing. We went for the surprise menu which was a big mistake as the only protein that was served was fried chicken which was dry and on a par with KFC. The menu looked pretty good but what we received was way below average. Did not even receive any of the seafood options.
We were up in the Barossa for the day to spend time with a friend who was back home for a quick visit. We had a lot to catch up on. The staff were great in assisting us with food and wine choices and then just letting us sit back and enjoy. The view was amazing. I would definitely like to return.
Fabulous! Food was super delicious and service friendly and professional. Catered for vegan and the food was incredibly tasty and lots of it! Popcorn dessert well worth the trip from Sydney. Enjoy the view and food experience.
This was our third visit and it just keeps getting better and better. Have friends visiting next year from Queensland and Harvest Kitchen will definitely be on the lunch agenda
Beautiful meal- fresh food from the Barossa - Beautiful scenery and vibe
Food was amazing so fresh and service was excellent. Scenery was beautiful
All dishes we ordered were outstanding. Service and surroundings were both excellent.
$154 for two people for lunch—and paper tablecloths and napkins? Muzak was far too loud, why the hell have it at all? Food was brilliant, the squid and the pork empanadas were standouts as was the panna cotta mousse desert. But overall it was like a cafe not a real restaurant.
Would go there again tho, but not soon $$$!
Great food driven by marvellous local produce. Wonderful and attentive service as well.
We ate at Harvest Kitchen a few months ago and it was wonderful, however cannot say that this time. We had the degustation for 3 people, the dishes were delivered with no explaination at all, it did feel that we really just had mostly what I would class as 'sides' With only one substantial protein dish which was the pork empanadas (which were really nice). 3 of the dishes were also cold by the time we got them. Am really disappointed as it was a very special day out for us and our previous visit was very good, wont be coming back for a 3rd though unfortunately, too expensive to take the risk when there are so many other options in the region.
We took the feed me like a Barossan option (2 people). It was good value but the flow of dishes was a bit underwhelming. Dishes came one at a time, and it often felt like there should've been a couple of things on the table at one time. For example, we were left sitting with just Broccolini for about 20 minutes. Maybe this option works better for more people, not sure if the flow would differ for that.
Always an amazing eating experience with amazing flavours in every dish. A great place to spend a few hours over a delicious meal, with friends and a great view. The desserts are to die for! Such a lovely dining experience.
We found the food was alright but nothing special and definitely too pricy for what it was. Portions were too small as well for the price. We found it overrated and the dishes are pretty Standard if u compare it to Sydney cafes.
Wow.. Flavour bombs galore..!
Our lunch at Harvest Kitchen was fantastic, we enjoyed quite a few dishes between 5 people and were not disappointed by any. Sure we had favourites, but nothing to complain about. A wonderful time.
Food comes out of kitchen when chef says dishes are ready but when ordering multiple dishes they tend to come out one at a time (and sometimes too long to get next dish especially when restaurant is busy) which is the only real problem for me as a diner at this restaurant. When I order multiple dishes I an thinking how they will go together as a group ie tasted together. If dishes come out with larger time between each then you either have to eat each dish individually or wait until all arrive risking the dishes getting cold. It really is something the restaurant should look at in my opinion to improve the experience for diners
Our dining experience was wonderful.
The food just delicious!
Would have loved a meet a greet with the Chef/s to give our complements.
The waitress we had was fantastic.
Wonderful food and location however, unfortunately we were a corner table in a bit of a dead zone and didn’t seem to have a dedicated waiter. That meant that our service was terrible.
