It was a real treat to have such a glorious view while having our High Tea! The service was warm and attentive and the food was good. It would've been great for the scones to be served warm, and to have table cloths (which were in the pictures online but strangely missing). Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Not feeling we are welcomed. Sitting there waiting to long with empty plates. It was my 40th birthday. Not good experience as before. Has changed. No worth the money. Finally, we have to go to the reception to pay bill as we waited too long. Not visit again. Not recommended. I won’t recommend my friend any more.

What a lovely place to come back to after a few years and food is still great. The view is spectacular. The service is excellent. We also enjoyed the tour in the building. Stunning place. We’ll be back.

High tea savoury items need to be further refined. Chunky finger sandwiches and cut up roast beef baguette tasty but cumbersome. Scones tasty but more like rock cakes. Had to ask for coffee as wait staff deliver food and that’s it!! Common guys you charge the big bucks so please do better.

Booking was for 2 pm Had to ask when food coming Arrived at 2:50 Extremely small selection of food One sandwich was dry on outside scones were hard and not enough jam or cream for everyone Tiniest serves of food which was enough to fit on a side plate Had to ask for tea and coffees These finally arrived at 3.20 pm With no sugar or utensils to stir For $79 per head it was an extremely underwhelming experience The venue was beautiful but lack of freshness taste and amount of food served will ensure I will not return N

mate I'll bloody tell ya what, this place was an absolute ripper of a time, 100% would go again, and I will probably get the lads on the horn and give them a nudge to get themselves on over to Mt Lofty for some good tucker

We had a great dinner - all courses tasted as good as they looked. The dining area was quite which allowed us to have a pleasant conversation without hearing other diners - rarity these days. We will definitely be back. *****

Fabulous fine dining experience with outstanding views from the table of the Mt Lofty ranges and valley. Reputation for excellence in food and wine is deserved. The bay leaf ice cream with dessert is a triumph. Thanks to the chef and staff for accommodating our extra goody requests and making our daughter’s birthday a memorable event.

My husband’s wife glass has got cork in it and his lamb dish still has got the plastic circle in it. Very disappointing. It was our first anniversary celebration and was expecting a great memory.

We enjoyed the high tea with the following exception. 1 The english scones were not anything like english scones they were small and hard mentioned this to a staff member a manager I think who said well we will call them Australian scones. 2 Ordered coffee and it took too long to arrive.

This is a classy place with a relaxed atmosphere and a very competent and accommodating staff. Easy to get to, a short drive from the CBD, and I will gladly return on my next visit to Adelaide.

A lovely afternoon tea. My only criticism of an otherwise delicious mix of treats were the scones! We saved then to last and they were very disappointing, dense and doughy. May just have been a bad batch, otherwise would have been five out of five.

The High Tea experience at Hardy’s Verandah is one of the best we have had. The food quality, quantity, variety and flavours were fantastic. There was also a large selection of teas to choose from plus the option to add champagne or wines by the glass or bottle. The service was what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant and then some. To add to all this, the location and views across the Piccadilly valley from the Verandah are spectacular. After high tea you can have a drink at the bar or head down stairs to the outdoor bar in the gardens which also has a great view of the valley. A great experience to do for someone special (I took my mum and she absolutely loved it!). Thanks Hardy’s for such a lovely afternoon. We will be back!

I have been a fan of Hardy's Verandah Restaurant and have previously invited friends and family there for celebration meals. A few years ago, it was superlative for the food, the presentation, the staff, the attention to detail, and of course the setting in the magnificent Mount Lofty area. Oh dear. What a sad experience for a high tea on Sunday. The weather was beautiful. The cost was $75 a head plus $30 a glass for a fine champagne. The food itself was fine, with a good range of servings, and nicely presented on a high tea stand. The Champagne was poured. I had high expectations of a lovely high tea experience for the five of us. Not so. There were lots of waiting staff, but they did not deliver. Different people, (at least 3) came up asking for our tea order. Conversations were had with them. However, after that, we had to ask for our tea a few times. We waited, as we would have liked to eat our sweet servings with a cuppa tea. However, we were almost finished when the teas did finally come. In the end, the tea came after we had almost finished. In a nutshell, the staff appeared all at sea when it came to high tea. I would have been better off at one of the many Adelaide pubs that seem to do service better than this with far fewer staff.

Enjoyed an outstanding evening at Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant. The service and food was next level. Had a five course degustation with complementary canapés in between courses. Our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and helped us choose a delicious bottle to share. Would highly recommend this place for a truly memorable occasion.

Inside room did not allow for a view of the garden I did not think the food was anything out of the ordinary for the price I had a voucher given to me which was why I went to your venue We really wanted a luncheon as opposed to high tea but you don't do lunch on a Saturday $30.00 for a glass of champagne was too much

Car park entry, bit tricky to navigate, building impressive, dining area very nice, service superb, food was perfect. The floor of the dining area was drummy and led to table movement when anyone walked by. Could have been a little warmer in seating area, price was high but the experience is what you pay for, overall would defiantly be back 👌

The high tea was a lovely experience, the food was delicious and indoor and out settings were just beautiful. Our dietary requirements were catered for delicious alternatives. It was a special birthday for a member of our small group and the staff organised for special birthday treat for her. This just made it all the more special. A wonderful experience. Thank you
