Hitting all the right notes with food and an excellent wine sellection.
Perfect Sunday lunch. Have already booked to return!!
We had a wonderful lunch for our first wedding anniversary. Great food, wine and view. Service was friendly, informative and helpful. Thanks.
The experience we had at Hardy's was amazing. The staff were professional and courteous. They catered to make the food suitable for pregnancy which made me feel a lot more comfortable with the menu. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond to make our special occasion just that, special. We have already recommended to many friends and family to book a stay and dinner.
Great view. Great food. Great atmosphere. No faults.
An absolutely outstanding experience - food amazing and staff incredible! Loved it!
Everything was just perfect, the food was amazing, view was stunning, service was exceptional and the little touches for Robs birthday really was the icing on the cake.
Fantastic restaurant, amazing views and wonderful service, food is outstanding.
the service was second to none. the view was gorgeous and worth the little extra to be seated in front of the window. the food was delicious. i even tried the tounge which is a first but surprisingly good. there was so much food we had to take the last few courses home to our grateful kids. a big thank you to the staff on sunday.
Very good service, what you pay is what you get. Staff were more than help full.
too salty
Bad service
Food bad , not valuable.
from the moment we sat down was a night mare 4 to a table was a joined table that was un even and after many attempts could not get it right front of house staff were rude and instead of being reared to as sir they tended to like the reference MATEY
The consistency was not there between the meals and the meat dishes where dry and lacked flavour
The scallop size which was basically one scallop sliced up between 4 people as opposed to 1 whole scallop per person was insulting
4 serves all plates were different sizes and the meat was tough and dry
Time taken for the meal was in excess of 4 hours which again is not acceptable leaving us to rush to finish the deserts of which we had to ask for this on a few occasions.
Other tables were coming and going while we were waiting for our meals an absolute joke
Due to the time taken were had a chauffeur booked which we cancelled and rebooked on three occasions due to the time taken to get food due to this we incurred further costed for waiting time
The whole evening cost over $800.00 plus an extra 150.00 waiting time for the driver which was a waste of money based on very poor quality and attention to detail.
An email was sent to the restaurant we have not received any reply form them so obviously the care factor is zero
They offered us a bottle of cheap house made sparkling which we gave to our driver as a gesture of goodwill for having to wait an hour and half
nothing more than typical hotel food
it was a great way to ruin a 27th wedding anniversary.
Hardy's Verandah Restaurant is nestled inside Mount Lofty House with a picturesque landscape and manicured gardens to enjoy. The menu has an option for either a 4 course (short story) or a 7 course degustation dinner (long story). The food is beautifully presented and very tasty too. The wine list is extensive (over 850 options), covering various regions of the world. If that's a little to overwhelming, the knowledgeable staff can make great recommendations for you. Some of the staff are passionate about the role they play and really add to the enjoyment of the evening, however, there are some that don't share the same level of enthusiasm as their fellow peers and appear merely to be there because it's a job. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and certainly worth considering as a fine dining option.
Outstanding food and wine, friendly and knowledgeable staff and of course a magnificent view.
Exceptionally well presented quality food in a magnificent venue with outstanding service.
A first class experience. The food, the staff, the view are all outstanding. Cannot recommend highly enough.
My wife & I dined at Hardy's Verandah on consecutive nights & was exceptionally impressed with the quality & presentation on both occasions supported by an outstandingly knowledgeable waiter in Francisco, we cannot praise the venue enough - outstanding.
Satisfied with all aspects of the meal. The 4 course menu is outstanding!!! The staff was very knowledgeable about the food and wine and contributed to the fabulous dining experience.
Highly recommended as a special occasion venue. Wine prices on the high side though.
Amazing food and incredible venue, the service was pretty special too. It was quite expensive but well worth it!
Beautiful meal in a wonderful setting. Not one disappointment which makes a nice change.
Poor menu, menu is not family friendly. No ala cart options.
Absolutely amazing food with a stunning view, impeccable service and beautiful ambiance
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent food, service and an impressive wine list that the sommeliers are more than happy to help you navigate. A lot of very nice options by the glass.
Had the 7 course long lunch degustation meal with matching wines. Excellent food especially the blue fin tuna belly and wagyu steak
Overall it was fine. I’d made a booking and advised that it was our 10 year anniversary, a very special occasion for us, and requested a great table. I really really wanted to make this extra special for my wife after a really tough year for us. We were sat in the back, and no one had any idea that it was our anniversary until they asked what brought us there. The next table were celebrating an anniversary too, and they received a special plate with chocolate writing on it to celebrate their anniversary... we just felt a bit pushed to the back, and just a bit awkward. So it wasn’t the greatest experience that we had hoped it would be.
Amazing food in beautiful surroundings. Lovely staff too.
Thank you for a great experience of both food and atmosphere.
Our waiter was perfect.
May I please have his name?
I have recommended you to do many of my friends and family.
Hardy’s veranda was an amazing experience. Having been wanting to go for some time, finally getting there was not a disappointment. The service was impeccable with very friendly and professional staff across he board. I would describe the menu as a curation rather than exhaustive and a simply selected 4 course meal was perfect. Each dish was sublime. I’d highly recommend.
Excellent and delicious menu choices, best combination of tastes we have experienced in Adelaide by far.Superb special occasion choice.
Dinner was lovely but the table that we were giving was dissapointing as i faced the wall would have preferred my back to the wall and facing intowards the room. We asked if we could move and eventually were moved to the window table so we could have our dessert in which we were delighted as we were celebrating our anniversary. Also the wine list is a book too big. We would come again
Unreal experience
Loved every minute
The food was immaculate
We had a great table with a lovely view over the gully. The service was excellent, very professional and attentive. We had the degustation menu and it was amazing, every course was delicious. Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
Simply the best food I’ve ever had! I have dined here several times and the food is always of the highest standard. Every course this time was a delight. Can’t wait for my next experience here.
This is one of the rare places that ticks all the boxes: The food - all 4 courses we had were simply outstanding. Service was great and we enjoyed the beautiful view over the Adelaide Hills. We will be back!
Thank you for a lovely meal on our anniversary. Will come again!
A great restaurant for a special occasion. The food is great and very artistically presented. Book the restaurant and stay the night at Mt Lofty House you will not be disappointed.
I last ate at Hardy's Verandah a few years ago - and whilst the food was delicious, I still felt a little hungry afterwards - something that even the staff at Mt Lofty house discreetly mentioned to me at the time (I am also not that big an eater - a quarter chicken and chip meal will have me feeling very very full for the day!). This time however, they definitely addressed this issue with the perfect amount of food. The food itself was delicious also - I like how they show cased the mayura wagyu in more than one course! The service was excellent and the sommelier knowledgable when asked to match a few of the courses with sake. I would definitely return and recommend this place as one of few fine dining places left in Adelaide.
Stunning presentation, flavours were sensational and worked well with each other. Cooked and presented with precision. Wonderful dining experience!
Excellent experience. Our waiter Jess was outstanding and the food was delicious. As for their sourdough bread, I can’t even describe how delicious. We had a room to ourselves and the view was also wonderful. Signage to the restaurant wasn’t as straightforward as I’d expect but no matter, I truely loved the whole experience.
