We made a booking but did not stay. The menu has been reduced massively and we could not order any of the items that we came for. We were told this was due to Covid, which we understand. However we didn't want to pay for food we had to settle for and not why we chose the venue to begin with. Very disappointing, we will wait until things return to normal before we go again.

Disappointing. We waited over an hour for entrees and then couldn’t use our SNSW vouchers even though it said you could on the website. The food was average. Our waitress was lovely though and we felt sorry for her as she was getting smashed. Big area to serve for one person!

Not the special Hard Rock Cafe that we used to visit all my life. Felt like More a cheap diner than how special it used to be. But yet the price tag matched the high glass venue it used to be. The special drinks for kids in the hurricane glass was no longer available and no white table cloths or proper menus, and the room was void of the glitz and glamour I remember. There are still tables in the more traditional setup in the entrance but you weren’t allowed to sit there. Sadly we will have to start a new tradition elsewhere for our kids. We made the most of it and our waiter made up some spiders for the kids to try to make up for our disappointment.

Extremely unhelpful receptionist, who stood their chatting to another staff member while I stood right in front of her to ask if our table was ready. It took 20mins for a server to take our order. When we asked a server walking past if we could order they replied “no, I’m not your server, your server is someone else.” It took almost an hour from being seated to getting our food.

If you spend over $100 AUD then you get a shopping discount at the store, but if your eating in the evening on your last night in Australia and want something to take home, be sure to shop before they close if having an evening meal - then of course you may not get the discount if you shop before you eat - so plan accordingly.

Worst Hard Rock meal we have had and we’ve eaten around the world and loved HRC … my child’s burger tasted borderline gone off and our ribs were lukewarm although “edible” tasted like yesterdays meal re—heated and chips re-cooked … beans were watery and cold and coleslaw dry with no dressing. Only 1 desert option due to COVID which we understood. For $168.25 we expected better. I wonder when Head Office last checked this franchise. Go somewhere else!

After pre booking for 5 with the $20 fee if we didn’t turn up, it was comical when the waitress took us to a table for 4 , and then after she said , oh it’s for 5, then took us to another table that she then offered to get a chair , which she did, and then said ‘oh, there is not enough room for the chair ‘ to which I then said , can we sit at that 6 seater table (pointing to the half empty restaurant)

Have visited Hard Rock Sydney over several years and this time was very disappointed in the limited menu offerings, size of dishes compared to price and past experience and the size of drinks; cocktail was not served in the HR glass and was substantially smaller than usual, but still cost $20! Not sure if they are being hit really hard in the recovery from Covid given their restaurant is in Darling Harbour, a tourist mecca still trying to recover visitor numbers, but the food and drinks were not to their normal standard. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon.

Super venue, well done ambience and overall a good evening. While the shared platters are pricey, they’re pretty large, so worth it. Beware, the desert menu is limited to one item! My only grouse was the many TV screens around played a repetitive HRC advert. Given the great rock music variety, I would loved to have seen music videos streaming on. Hopefully live bands are back in April so we can rock on!

We turned up early and were told that we could be seated early. The check-in process was made very welcoming. Once we were seated, our waiting came and introduced themselves. We ordered some drinks to start. One of the glasses we were provided with had lipstick all over it. We pointed out this to our waiter. They simply shrugged and said they would get a new one without any sort of apology. After this, they treated us differently. Quite often we had to get there attention to order more drinks, and they showed no enthusiasm after this. This did not meet standards at any time, let alone during Covid. The meals came out promptly and were of high standard. The music was great, and suited the time of day.
