My fiancé’s birthday
Waiter was extremely rude!!!!! Not the first time I had him neat time I will leave if he is my waiter
Good food! :) Which they had more options for dessert with you choose a combo though.
Perfect environment, I would recommend this place to anyone from small group to large parties it’s so much fun and the food is YUMMY
Great! As always
I always enjoy Gyu-KaKu in White Plains. But for some reason my lychee mojito was horrible. I spent Christmas eve there after work every year.
Service was great food was good. Only complaint was that the flame on our grill kept going off while we tried to cook. Would definitely go back
Nice casual meal.
Grill kept going out. Waiter barely checked on us. Some food never came out
Really liked it here. I had been meaning to go and finally managed to on date night with my hubby. We got the meat lover package and could not even finish the plates of meat. Everything was delicious. The salad was like a 3 out of 4 and rice was a bit undercooked compared to other Japanese restaurants, but overall I liked it. I really liked that there was a variety of drinks to choose from.
The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in till we left. They were very attentive and walked by often to remove any extra plates on table.
I wish the atmosphere was a bit more asian, like the music and a bit more decor. But overall an awesome experience. Will definitely be going back. This time with my son so that he can enjoy the experience as well.
The server that we had barely check in with us had to wait a while for him to come
Our waiter was amazing and the food was amazing too
Bathroom had flies
Had a great experience last time we dined. Our server was extremely attentive and the food all tasted great!
We had a fun exciting evening trying new food and enjoying the wonderful flavors of all the dishes. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant
We had a great time. Everyone was really nice to us. Our server was fantastic. Very upbeat and polite. Definitely would eat here again!
Our server was Fantastic! Helped us easily order next rounds for the endless and even though we were a group over 10 he made sure we had everything!
Had an issue getting rice at first but the server made sure the manager knew so we could have a few extra mins to finish eating.
Only issue here is I emailed the company to get more information to see what would be best for groups of 10, but never got a response back.
Justin was the best server. Very attentive and friendly ..
We used to love this place. We dined in on the past Saturday. Some meet are too salty this time. We had to keep drinking lot of water after the meal.
Our server was nice and welcome. However, when she cleaned table and prepared for dessert, I saw one plate on her hand was leaned to one side, the marinade sauce was spitted off. We had one coat hanged on the back of the chair close to where she spitted the sauce. She didn't say anything, so I assume the sauce was only on the floor. The sauce was actually spitted all over our coat! Unfortunately we didn't caught it until we got home later on (it's a dark color coat). The server may or may not see that when she spitted the sauce off. Anyways, not a very happy experience.
Amazing service and fabulous food!
I will waitress Jean was great, She gave us great suggestions. She always came back and asked was everything OK do we need anything it was just great.
Happy hour menus is very reasonable. I do recommend.
Food was just as good as the many Korean BBQ places I have been to in Flushing, NY but the service was HORRIBLE!!!!! Had to ask numerous times for simple things like water, wasabi, & forks. The three dipping sauces came to the table after half the food was gone. My wife had to chase down our waitress twice, literally getting up from her set to hunt her down. Very disappointed.
What is the purpose of making a reservation for 5pm??? We waited almost hour before finally getting a table! We would have sat earlier, however, we were given a table way in the back where we would sit on the floor with our feet handing. Great concept....but had they noticed while we were waiting in front of them that we had an elderly person in our party.
Once seated, the service was awesome and the food was very tasty.
Great for a group night out. Go with the unlimited deals on the back of the menu
Lots of fun and delicious food.
The atmosphere was festive as the servers were dressed in Halloween costumes. We ordered the buffet dinner. Some of the beef dishes were a bit tough to chew but otherwise flavorful.
The food is always great, but they recently updated their menu AGAIN and a lot of the great stuff did not make the cut like the shrimp shumai and dumplings :( ... But overall great (food). Service however was horrible that day. Took like 30 mins to get a Coke and they now bring the food out soooooo slow and we devour it in like two seconds once we get it on the grill...
Second time going and I love it even more!
Can’t wait to go back !!
Gyu Kaku is one of my favorite Japanese BBQ restaurants, though I was highly disappointed from our most recent visit to the White Plains location. My family and I dined there to celebrate my mother’s milestone birthday, but didn’t receive the great service that I expected - for reference, I frequent the Times Square location which is absolutely phenomenal. The server was very inattentive to my parents’ needs and barely checked in on us to see how we were doing throughout the course of our meal. The only time she came was when I had to stand and flag her down. To make matters a little bit worse, she forgot it was my mother’s birthday after I had requested a celebratory candle and some singing for dessert. We did not get that. I am highly dissatisfied with the service there, and I will not return to White Plains. As a Front of House Restaurant Manager myself, I have high expectations when it comes to customer service. It is the server’s responsibility to build that relationship with their customers/guests, ensuring a positive dining experience. This unfortunately was not the case here.
So many wonderful items on the menu! Everything was beautifully presented and expertly seasoned! We did the ultimate all you can eat option and WOW! Once you get the rhythm down on how much to put on the grill and when to turn it, you will be hooked! Can't wait to come back and do this again!
The waiter and the hostess were basically kicking us out. Telling us they needed the table and we couldn't finish our water. I never had an experience like that there. Justin is always on point and energetic. But this time Justin wasn't our waiter. Justin needs a raise. I don't even remember my waiter's name because he was rude. It reflects poorly on management. I'm sure management allows that type of behavior. I like the food and always go for my birthday for the past 3 years. I may be looking elsewhere next year.
not nearly as authentic, good quality and service as in the city
Doug is the best waiter. So helpful and the food was amazing. What a great night!
Food was good as usual so was service, wish there were no plastic straws and singe use hand towels
Great place and delicious food. Have no complaints.
I Love Gyu-Malu!
Had a birthday dinner here with a group of friends and everything was great the service was good food and drinks were great as well.
