Came with my family for a early Sunday dinner and everyone really enjoyed themselves
Funnnnn literally been here 10 times and I still can’t find a reason to complain
The food is not too bad but a little bit too flavor for me.
FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! 5 of us went and we all came out with full bellies. Service was even better!! Highly recommend!!
We had an unbelievable meal! We ordered the holiday special for 2, plus the hirami in the special pot (highly recommend!) and it was just enough food. Working the bbq is so much fun, and easy to learn. The s’mores were the cherry on top. Our server was excellent and we can’t wait to go back!
Dani was an excellent server and explained the menu in detail. She checked on us many times but was not obnoxious.
Everything was great as usual however the food came out very slowly. I sat without food more than with. However I was still able to eat all I cared to in the ninety min allowed. I love this place.
The servings are too large, I would recommend sharing servings with a friend. If still hungry you can always order more. Since you're doing the cooking at the table, the turnaround time is very quick.
Went on New Year’s Eve and loved it! Fantastic food, fun to grill yourself, comes with a TON of delicious options which is perfect to sample everything! Get the corn! Our server Lee was fantastic. Highly recommend for literally any occasion where you want a great bang for your buck and delicious fresh Japanese food!
Food was awesome but the restaurant was very cold.
Delicious & so much fun. Its funny how the dishes seem small until you start to eat & theres almost too much. It's so worth it. Will definitely be back again!
Reservation was at 9 and they called us to confirm at about 8:15. We arrived at 8:50 and did not get sat until 920. We came for the happy hour menu online yet our server had no idea what menu we showed her. Took till 935 to get the menu and we ordered right away knowing they might try to say the kitchen is closing. Takes another 15 min for the food to come out. Then told us the kitten was closing at 945 so we’re we’re unable to get anything past what we originally ordered.
Always a pleasure to dine at Gyu
It was okay. We had 6pm reservation got there about 5:55 and was notified that the kitchen is runny behind, so we have to wait. I was a bit because the restaurant called me at 5:35 to reconfirm. We did not get suited until 6:23.pm, it never happen to me before and I was disappointed.
They were understaffed for lunch so long wait time for getting served
This location was ON POINT with everything! Cannot WAIT to come back - especially for the brunch. The price for all my friend and me got COULD NOT have been better. Also, super happy I don't have to go Downtown anymore for PHENOMENAL Japanese BBQ.
Great food and staff! They are all very friendly and very helpful if it’s your first time trying Japanese BBQ. A little pricey but the experience is worth it.
Our grill didn't work well, it took forever to cook and really took away from our experience
Excellent Japanese style BBQ restaurant. We could take good dinner in this Chicago trip.
We had a delicious meal at Gyu-Kaku on Thanksgiving. Servers were kind and attentive although they were very busy. The food was really good. We left completely full and satisfied. We would go again for a different special occasion. For us, it is too much food to go for a regular meal.
This dining experience was better than the last two times we were there. Very happy!
We ordered one of the pre-planned dinners for 2, added on a noodle dish and some pork belly. The dinner for 2 was definitely enough food, and our favorite flavor meat of the night was in that set. All of the food was very delicious, and the grill is always a fun experience (one of us had been before, one was new to the experience).
Service tonight was a little slow on delivering the food and refilling drinks, but picking up empty plates (different people) was prompt.
Overall, a wonderful time!
Great food selection and atmosphere, the servers were very friendly and explained to me how the menu for the all you can eat works.
Always delicious and always a great time!
Overall the food was great -as always. But this location needs to work on their service! Unhelpful server, drinks that sat empty, and food that came out in parts.
I love Gyu-Kaku! My first time going was actually in LA, so when I got back to Chicago and discovered there were locations here I was beyond excited. This is my second time going to the Lakeview location and they have yet to disappoint—the food has consistently been fresh and delicious as well as the service top notch. I’ll be back very soon!
This place was absolutely amazing.. the service was great and so was the food. I’ll be back
Delicious food, amazing price, great selection of drinks and what makes this place better are the staffs which makes this place over all enjoyable!
Everything about this place was amazing! The food, the options, the ambiance, our server was so sweet and welcoming. I'm definitely coming back. 10/10 would recommend.
I came for my moms birthday. We were seated right away, but We sat for over 20 minutes before someone came to wait on our table. I had to constantly ask over and over for our drinks and a high chair. I would say I had to ask about 4 or 5 times. After we finally got our food no one came to check on us I had to ask a man who was serving Other table for assistance he said he would let our waitress know but she still never showed up. The restaurant was not that busy for its horrible service. This is my third time coming to this restaurant and the second time we had bad service!
Very good service, great food!
Spencer he are the best server and manager he the best too good luck
Each time me and my husband go to this place it’s a wonderful time. The green tea cake is to die for.
We had the Samurai and it was exceptional, except the pork with spicy Korean chili sauce wasn’t as good as we expected it to be.
Food was little too salty and feels like they use too much butter on everything. Chair for our table was sticky. Thinking I will try different location next time
