A wonderful experience from start to finish. Great food matched with service containing warmth and kindness.
Always a pleasure. Food is great, staff is amazing. Can’t wait to come back.
We loved our meal and the atmosphere. I had the pasta dish and it was an amazing combination of flavors. Sirachia cauliflower was also really well done. We will definitely be back in the future.
Great food! Good portions. Top notch! Fairly remote but worth the drive.
So glad that vaccines are making it feel safer to be back at the Guesthouse. Nice evening with good food and drinks- as usual!
The guesthouse is top notch for dining inWV! Friendly atmosphere
Could a restaurant in West Virginia snag a Michelin star? This one is a candidate. We loved the food, the ambience, everything about the Guest House. We stayed at the resort, as well, and can recommend a weekend there.
The food and environment was outstanding. I appreciate how the hosts were flexible and accommodating to my dietary needs having Celiac
All of our meals were outstanding and served by very professional and friendly staff.
Excellent food, great service, beautiful location. Very good value.
I have never had a bad meal at The Guesthouse. The food is always flavorful and there is enough change to the menu that you can try something new almost every time you visit. The atmosphere is lively but not loud and it is the perfect setting for a date or a meet up with friends.
Simply fantastic. Gary and Jesse are doing everything right during the pandemic....
The team at Guesthouse Lost River is first class. They do a terrific job providing a safe and very clean space, to make you feel comfortable with Covid restrictions. The staff is incredibly friendly and prompt and the food is outstanding. We love going there and will return often!
The meals at the Guest House at Lost River are special. Great menu selection, excellent service and wonderful flavors. The Chief seems to add special flavors or sauces to make a great taste. Service is always excellent. The proprietors, Jesse and Gary, want to make it a good experience and are open to any concerns or suggestions.

We absolutely Love coming back and staying with The Guesthouse. Everything was wonderful.
Great use of local ingredients. Fantastic specials over a simple but complete base menu. Top quality dining with very friendly service.
Love this place! I'm excited every time we get to go. Love that the menu isn't insanely huge and that the food is always good. Plus, you can't beat the views from this quaint and beautiful hotel.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Seated us early and provided quick service
Delightful experience, as always. Delicious food, warm service, beautiful setting.
The Saturday afternoon Burger Lounge is a nice retreat on a cold winter afternoon. The burgers are gourmet, the drinks are great, and the service is impeccable, meeting strict covid protocols. Well done all around. I'll be back for sure.
During these trying COVID times owners Jessie and Gary ensure masking and social distancing quidelines are in place. We felt very comfortable in a great dining room with a baby grand piano playing which made for fine ambiance. The entire meal from our appetizer to desert was very very good. Great atmosphere, service and dining experience. Definitely planning on making future reservations at the Guest House in Lost River. * Stars!
Fantastic as always! Felt comfortable with their adherence to Covid measures.
Amazing food and service. The place is secluded with few tables for a quiet dinner.
Very nice meal. The Guest House is one of our favorites.
We loved the hosts and hostesses here. So thoughtful and lovely. Food was fantastic, drinks were super creative. Masks abounded! We were only one of three tables total, and everyone was very respectful. The Wagyu burgers were amazing, and they very kindly made my toddle a grilled cheese not on the menu.
My wife and I went to the Guest House for lunch. Fantastic as always - cocktails, meal, wait staff, and ambiance - impeccable. On par with anything in a big city but, thankfully, is nestled in the mountains of the Lost River Valley. Will be returning often.
I've been to the Guesthouse before and as always, it is a very pleasant restaurant to eat in. I highly recommend it.
My wife and I were very impressed with the high level of service, quality of food, and attention to detail. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly and hospitable. We would highly recommend to anyone!
We made reservations for 6:15 and were seated promptly. Wait staff was attentive, friendly and efficient. Our food was luscious and portions were generous. We will definitely go back. Be sure to bring a flashlight to find your car after the sun sets, or be sure your smartphone is charged so you can use the torch.
The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. We enjoyed a great dinner, a relaxing time and meeting the minature goat!
Warm atmosphere, attentive service and a wonderful menu with daily specials.
Our entree was delicious. The bread was not outstanding. Our dessert was okay. Overall we had a very pleasant dining experience.
The breakfast was great - bacon was outstanding!
Gary and Jessie were great, food was fab, Plus the wine was perfect.
