Guapo's of Georgetown
The Rincon family arrived in Virginia in the late 1970’s. All four children graduated from Fairfax County schools and universities and continued to invest in their community. They believed that their businesses should provide opportunity and pride to demonstrate the dedication to their hometown and the metropolitan area. Now their children continue the same aspirations as their grandparents did when they arrived over 30 years ago.
Our server was very good. Food was OK.
Food was good, not outstanding but what I would expect. Service was terrible. Every time someone came to our table, it was a different person. It’s as if they couldn’t figure out who our server was. We were forgotten for a while and it took a long time to get the check, presumably because they couldn’t figure out what we ordered...
An amazing experience, and our waitress Katia was outstanding!
This was our first time to eat at Guapo's, and we really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, and the choices were varied. The service was excellent as well. I will certainly return.
Great location and food was delicious. Look forward to sitting outside when the weather is warm.
Marcos was fantastic!!! He gave us great service!!! He’s very good waiter!!!
The food, ambiance and decor were right on target. Our family had a great time and will be returning to this establishment. My personal favorite was the Lomo Saltado 😋.
Service is always great. Food delicious and generous portions. Good value.
The food was fine but felt very much like a chain restaurant. Great location!
Loved our waiter Juan! Margs were pricey but delicious. I enjoyed the shredded beef burrito. I will go back!
Came for New Year’s Eve dinner- great service - seated quickly at reservation time -food was terrific - and fun to watch skaters from cozy spot indoors. Our first time at this location- we’ll be back.
Thank you for turning DOWN the music outside so my dinner companions and I could enjoy our meal and conversations! Appreciate the liberal use of heaters.
Very good service. Nice atmosphere.
My husband and I were visiting Washington, DC and had dinner there on November 14th. The location is great. There is an outdoor ice skating rink right outside and it was beautiful. The service was exceptional. We had a couple margaritas ( Happy Hour from 4:00-7:00!), and we had chips and salsa along with scrumptious queso for an appetizer. We had a steak and chicken fajita and had sopapillas for dessert. The food was fantastic. Our waitress was great, super friendly. We will definitely visit again! A+
Salsa was excellent. Food selection good, and service was really great. Price point is a bit high, but overall, I recommend it.
Excellent food and drinks. My family and I enjoyed
This is an amazing place, we loved the food. I would go back
It was a great experience food and drinks were amazing.
Great place to eat ;) ambiance is perfect. The food was great. The staff was very kind. Great service.
Made a reservation, took a 20$ uber to the restaurant and upon arrival we found out that the restaurant is closed until further notice. Very disappointed and unprofessional.
The place was closed and didn’t even tell us. We drove all the way down to Georgetown paid uber to take us to a restaurant that was closed
Good food and the ambiance was nice. We got to enjoy our food outside.
Higher class look for the same great product. I love the Guapo’s in Arlington, but G’town is a nicer ambiance with the same killer food. Great food, great service and fabulous staff taking care of us. I can’t wait to do it again when I’m in town.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend.
The burrito bowl I ordered had so much sour cream, it was very soupy
Guapo’s of Georgetown has a lively atmosphere and great outdoor patio seating. The host (Marta?) went out of her way to make sure we were happy. Excellent service. Food was ok but not great. I’d go back to try something else. Fajitas are good. The coctel de camarón is NOT recommended.
Great food at a reasonable price! Definitely coming back with friends.
Very good scenery and beautiful weather!
Great best!!!! Authentic food in a upscale environment, but without the upscale price tag.
We went here for Sunday brunch, expecting an experience similar to the deliciousness of the Guapo’s in Tenleytown. Alas, either the formula has been tweaked for tourists or this restaurant just doesn’t have its act together yet.
For starters, the layout was weird and the music was too loud. The chips were good but the salsa was kind of thin and flavorless. We were given many regular menus but only one brunch menu to share among 6 people. And when the food came (after a very long wait), the dishes seemed uneven.
The breakfast tacos as a rule were the best things we ordered. The breakfast burritos were passable. But the huevos rancheros were served on two crispy corn tortillas with black beans in between and then smothered in a viscous sauce that was in no way spicy. Yuck.
It’s too bad, bc we normally love Guapo’s food, and this location on the georgetown waterfront could be awesome.
House-made flour tortillas were delicious. I had a happy hour margarita and it was very good as well. My husband and I enjoyed our dinners. We ate outside. There were a lot of birds flying in and out of the dining area, so be forewarned. The outside dining was a bit noisy. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Server seemed to be having a rough day and brought out two wrong orders + charged one wrong order but they were very nice and accommodating about it. Great atmosphere and price - would definitely recommend!
Great attentive service. Good location and views of the harbor. Food was very good.
Will definitely return.
The chicken in both the tacos and fajitas were not good, there’s was no flavor
This was my first time at Guapo’s and everything was great. The food was fresh, the cocktails were awesome (according to others at the table because I don’t drink), and the service was excellent. I will definitely return.
My husband and I ate lunch here at around 2pm on a Monday. We were started off with complimentary tortilla chips, thin as wafers and delicious. The two salsas served with them were also so good, chunky tomatoes and a great black bean salsa. I had an Ultima Palabra cocktail and absolutely loved it, smoky and sweet and chilled beautifully. The fish tacos were so yummy and the hot sauces were absolutely flavorful. Service was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and quick. I would definitely come back.
Awesome view and atmosphere! The staff was very friendly.
Good food and service. Burrito wasn’t as big as I’d hoped but good quality overall
We were pleasantly surprised. We were afraid it might be touristy, but food was very good, portions were large and you could taste the alcohol in the margueritas. We will go again.
