One friend had the scalops - very tasty
Two other's had the beef - excellent
Two of us shared the lamb (for two). It was melt in the mouth and more than we could eat.
The staffwere excellent but not intusive
A lovely venue to chill out on a Monday evening
The food is not bad and the service is very good and the restaurant area is fitted out nicely. However it is overpriced
We're fairly regular at Greengate Terrace, and service is always excellent - friendly, efficient, and cheerful.
On this occasion we had a large group of 15 for a family celebration, so had a set menu (3 or 4 choices from each category - entree, main course and dessert). All the options were good (e.g. the main course had a choice of a chicken, fish, steak or vegetarian dish) so there was plenty of choice for everyone. They got everyone's lunch out at the same time, hot and fresh and the steaks were cooked as requested. The value was excellent at $59/person for the food, plus drinks (which are reasonably priced).
The food is certainly very good, but what really stands out is the quality of the service, which was excellent as always.
This was a great place to celebrate a birthday with family.
Lovely light restaurant to sit and enjoy a long lunch/dinner. Food was tasty and service was good - a little slow but it was Fathers Day so understandable
Although the service and ambiance was great, the food was ok but nothing special and for what you received it was way over priced. I think a cocktail each and one medium range bottle of wine, an entree shared between 4 and a main meal each should not cost well over $100 per person in a pub.
Food was fabulous! Definitely going back soon... not disappointed with either entre or mains!
A quite dinner with friends. 3rd time back
Excellent service and really nice food, good variety.
Tuesday night is great as it is fairly quiet so good opportunity to catch up with friends
Will be back!
Fantastic service, very attentive. Food beautifully presented and generous. I only marked down the ambience due to two very badly behaved little boys who were running around the restaurant unsupervised most of the night and marred what would have been a perfect night out.
I took a friend for lunch and it was great. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful , and the food was lovely.
I found this to be a great venue during the Winter as it’s quite cosy without being noisy as some restaurants can be.
Will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience 😊
Excellent setting for a business lunch. Excellent food, beautiful venue.
An exquisite special for Christmas in July was offered. I had a very old favorite beutifully presented: a prawn cocktail. Then I chose turkey and vegetables. A huge piece of succulent bird, all boneless and tender. For dessert I chose the trifle. Now that was spectacular too. The staff are extremely professional. All courses came promptly and were served expertly. Definitely a wonderful experience.
Great ambience, range of food and excellent service
Had a lovely evening with amazing food and service - hugely improved since the “portico” era
Never disappoints, excellent food and great service.
Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch, the atmosphere, food and service was outstanding. Would highly recommend a visit there. Can't wait to go back.
Overall a very pleasant and easy place to go for a family dinner. A good menu, with something for everyone, and very comfortable. Most importantly we could hear each other talk! Beautiful revovation.
This restaurant provides excellent food and service in a delightful art deco setting.
Great service and lovely food
Pleasant atmosphere, although was a little noisy
Excellent Sunday lunch. Food was fabulous. Great wine list.
Very enjoyable meal - loved the Kingfish Sashimi & the steaks were excellent
Good food, service and value, what more can you ask for on a Monday night
We have had lunch here several times as a couple and have also had a few family get togethers. The restaurant set up caters really well for both, the service is outstanding and so is the food. Will definitely be back...
This is the second time we have been to the new Terrace restaurant, formerly the Portico, and we loved it. The menu has been re designed and has some interesting choices. Our first visit was in January and we took a South African couple who were very impressed. This time we went with another couple from West Pennant Hills and they were similarly impressed. There is no restaurant of this calibre on the upper North Shore, you would have to go into the city or to the Nothern Beaches to find its equal.
All the dishes we ordered were exceptional from the Semolina Eggplant to the Kingfish ceviche and the Panna Cotta and to finish there was good Italian coffee. The only wine we ordered was a Hunter Valley Chardonnay which was, as expected, very good and we noticed that there was a good selection of ales to choose from.
Also the table service was great and informative, when we questioned them, and it is the quietest restaurant we have ever been to.
The food was very good. Service was excellent. Value for money. Lunch menu very similar to dinner. Perhaps a clear differentiation between lunch and dinner would work well. A fresh approach to a lunch menu might increase the number of people who are there for lunch.
Great food and service. The varied menu keeps us coming back. Overall, loveliest place to eat in the area.
Great local! Food was delicious and generous serve of fish and chips. Cappacio entry yummy too. Recommend it for sure.
The food are fantastic and every dish is presented beautifully!
looking forward to returning soon - delicious food and very friendly staff
This is our go to place for a friends get together.
We are locals and the restaurant manager not only welcomed us back but also remembered and brought over a bottle of wine that we usually order.
Food overall was fantastic, just thought that serving shoestring fries with wagu steak was very strange. Staff were excellent. Will definitely be back there again
A very pleasant luncheon and the staff were most attentive to our needs.
Service was great as per norm even with being a really busy night.
Food was good however not quite the usual standard.
A venue that caters to most occasions, large family or couples.
Lazy lunch for 6 was great. Nice food that was well presented and service was great also. A little pricey but quality of food and wine was excellent. Will be back
Very ordinary serve of fish and chips. Dry fish, stale oily batter and less than fresh chips. Restaurant environment nice, staff pleasant without being memorable. Overall disappointing
This restaurant has been refurbished and of course is in excellent taste. We took friends from South Africa there to have lunch before they flew home and they loved it too. The Kingfish ceviche was superb, this type of dish is not served enough in Oz. The wine was excellent as was the coffee and the table service superb. This must be the best restaurant on the North Shore.
Excellent service; excellent food and beautifully presented. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend this venue.
We really like it here since the refurb, the service is impeccable and the food is fantastic. Would love a bit of variety with the specials. There used to be 3-4 specials, the last couple of times there has only been one... complaining on a high level, it’s been fantastic!
