Green Pig Bistro
Green Pig Bistro features a communal chef's table and an open kitchen and two full bars where guests can socialize while watching their meals or cocktails being prepared. It has a casual setting and lively and energetic vibe with delicious farm to table food, craft cocktails, amazing service and a unique style and walls covered in cookbook pages. This restaurant serves brunch with cocktails on the weekend, lunch Monday - Friday, a daily Happy Hour from 5pm-7pm and dinner starting at 5:30pm. Reservations highly recommended. At this time, we don't take any reservations for Lunch. Just stop in!
Food was good, but pricey and extremely noisy. Hidden cost with drinks such as lemonade, $5 every glass where as we were just told $5 for one with refills
I went to the Green Pig to celebrate my birthday and it didn't disappoint - great food, great vibe - highly recommend for large groups and will definitely be back for a date night or two!
Boring food, bad service, super noisy. Waste of a good location.
Like a lot of other reviewers, our app order never came, entrees were overpriced for what you get, (microwaved blandness) and the acoustics are so bad, you have to yell to be heard over the din. Wait staff overwhelmed.
So many better restaurants within walking distance: Lyon Hall, Citizen Burger - much better for same price range or less.
Absolutely phenomenal - went for a friends 50th and loved everything we ordered
Amazing food, but was a little too loud
My fiancé and I had a very poor dining experience. The food was very good and the wine list was excellent. The service was barely adequate. I don’t think the waitress understands her clientele. There was no apology for getting our appetizer order wrong and she was baffled by our switching tables because of the loud couple shouting at each other over their dinner. In retrospect the couple was just trying to be heard over the deafening din of the dining room.
We will not go back again unless it’s deserted.
Price is slightly high if compared with similar restaurants. Staff was nice. A little too noise.
Great service and a meal to die for. Wonderful gastronomical experience will be returning.
Pasta dish with veal and pork meatballs was outstanding.
Just a wonderful experience in totality. From walking in the door to the moment we left. Food, service, and ambience were just amazing. Every plate was cleared. I’ve found my new go-to place for out of town guests! Try the pickles. Even a non-pickle person like me enjoyed them thoroughly!
I had two other, better, experiences here. Based on those previous trips, I still recommend checking it out.
Fun atmosphere and great cocktails! The fried chicken sliders were a great appetizer with lots of flavor, but the chicken sous-vide entree was average.
Zack the server was great.
Pleasant knowledgeable fast
Green Pig is always excellent. The food is great; so is the service and ambience.
It’s a convenient location. It happened to be really loud and oddly understaffed the last time there. Hasn’t been understaffed in previous visits, though always loud. Service was particularly slow and inattentive last visit. Food is consistently solid. Not out of this world, but a good meal. Apps and salads a bit overpriced. Has a good vibe and will continue to visit.
I indicated on my reservation that it was my wife's birthday, but there was zero acknowledgement. Otherwise great food and service, but a shout out would have been appreciated.
We have been coming since it opened 5 or so years ago now. Brunch or dinner, always pleased with the quality and selection of food.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was wonderful!
Our server started out great and then after he brought us our food he disappeared. He never came by to ask us if we wanted anything else. In fact, my husband had to go find him to ask for a dessert menu. It was very strange.
Always amazing! Our favorite on date night!
I have dined here a half dizen times or so an d the experience has consistently been excellent. I know how difficult it is to maintain such high standards yet you make it seem effortless.
Food and service are always top notch at this neighborhood gastropub!
Service was good, food was extremely mediocre
Great food and service as always.
Went here for my girlfriend's birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, service, and atmosphere. Great place to go for dinner, and we can't wait to try the brunch.
Excellent first time at this neighborhood gem! Highly recommend. Food was delicious and service was out of this world.
Delicious food- room rather noisy. Service excellent. Enjoyed a special cocktail. Beet salad was great!
Prices a bit high but overall everyone in our big group enjoyed their dinners...
Very good food and service
This is a comfortable first date kinda place. Our party of six fit at a larger booth, but parties larger than that may feel squeezed. Service was okay...a bit of a wait. But the food is always A+. Best lamb burger I have ever had. This is a fried chicken destination. And hanger steak is perfect.
This was such a pleasant surprise! We were tired and just looking for a place to meet. Found it on open table and chose it as a convenient location to meet for dinner with our son. Wow. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. The meat was perfectly cooked and so were the oh-so-crispy brussel sprouts. The drinks were a treat. No skimping on the pours at the bar and a nice whiskey selection to choose from. The noise level was slightly high and while the food was excellent, it wasn't exactly a bargain for the price. A price worth paying for, however, as it was all truly yummy. Oddly, we were mixed about the tables. Some of us liked the solid slab effect, others less so. Made for nice conversation over a wonderful meal.
The food was outstanding! Best kale caesar and bone marrow that I have had in a restaurant.
The food was flavorful and fresh. The portions are small for the price so not recommended for value shoppers. Overall a wonderful addictive to the Clarendon scene.
The food and service was great. My only problem is the noise level. It’s very loud in this restaurant.
Our expectations were high from last time, but It was too noisy- the table was too width so we couldn’t talk together.
We had a very nice dinner at Green Pig Bistro. The food was delicious and our server was very nice. Food was really slow coming out though, and it was a bit loud. We were in a neat little back room that had a great vibe and we really enjoyed ourselves overall. I was really excited by the delicious house made ginger beer!
Only if you can handle a very loud and noisy room, and not care too much about dinner conversation. Food is on the expensive side for a restaurant with two $$ ratings, although main portions are not skimpy.
Great meal although please bring back the polenta with the meatballs.
I’m at the greenpig bistro and we really loved it! We will be back. The Limburger was great. Substitution were made with out issue. The collard greens were spectacular! Be sure to get those…
The server was very kind and nice but not present enough. She never really returned to the table to see if we needed anything else… And they were a few things we needed. Also it was hard to get the check when we were ready for it. These are not things that changed the experience I would still go back here in a minute!
This was my first time at Green Pig, but will definitely NOT be the last! Not only was my dinner (pork chop) delicious, but the bites I stole from everyone else's plates were also delicious. Our server was friendly, funny, and knowledgable about the menu, and we even scored a parking spot out front. What's not to love? I'm only sorry that I didn't come sooner!
Creative menu (but not eccentric) with super fresh ingredients. Atmosphere is great, and the service was perfect while also being familiar and informal. Cocktail menu was inventive and appealing.
