I usually come when there is some music I want to hear but it is one of the few jazz clubs that also has top quality food. If I lived closer, I might come just for the food.
Food was awesome
I've recommended Grassos to many people, who now love it,as well. The service was definitely off this night. The wait staff was not coordinated, & 2 & 3 people kept coming over for the same purpose. The main courses had to be returned - Shrimp was left off the plate on one dish, & the sauce should have been served on the side on the other. There were too many people involved. But I still look forward to returning, as occasionally every place can have an issue.
Great night out with friends. Service was excellent! Our waitress was awesome and very attentive! Food was amazing!
great food, service, portion size, hospitality and location
We went to Grasso's for our 40th anniversary. Lovely place. We had a great table and a delicious meal, followed by a giant sparkler in our dessert for our anniversary. The service is good, a bit quick for me, however, the thing that really irks the heck out of me is when you get the menu and the specials menu, and you order and get your food, you hear at the next table, “Let me tell you about the specials that aren't on the menu!” And your waiter did not ask you that question! My husband wouldn't let me say anything. So everything else is good, but if you have additional specials, please make sure that EVERY table is asked that question.
Consistently great food; intimate live jazz seething where the musicians are in your face !! Always great quality acts
Food was superb, Gail was delightful coming over to the table and offering dessert on the house as a new retail neighbor - service was excellent - music a little loud as conversation tone had to be increased to almost yelling, but a great dining experience
Food was delicious. They had entertainment that was fabulous. All night they were singing broadway tunes. One of the women singers was so good she could be in Phantom of The Opera. What a wonderful restaurant. It’s worth every penny. Will definitely go back.
Great place for “grownups “ - good food- live jazz
We went because they had a lot of vegetarian options. And we like live jazz. We had the grilled artichoke and a mushroom pizza and two different salads that were fresh and properly dressed. The noise level in the room was almost intolerable. I think perhaps people had to talk so loudly to hear above the music. Once the music stopped the noise level dropped significantly. Difficult balance I guess.
Great live music and always fabulous meal!
The 2 orders of DUCK was TOTALLY UNEATABLE !! had to be returned ! The fish entree was
SO SO overcooked ! I do not understand any of the high approval rating does not make sense.
We will never go back !
Thursday nights at Grasso’s is delightful! Jen and Larry are talented musicians and make you feel like family. Excellent!
Wish waiters paid more attention to customers sitting at the the table who waited 10 minutes to order desserts rather than looking at the band that wa setting up.
Outstanding service, food, ambiance & amazing music.
Excellent service Excellent music on Sunday Brunch. Excellent food. Loved loved the Seafood empanadas.
This is not the old Grasso's. The menu has changed- not for the better. I could not even get a glass of Italian red wine. I will not go back to what was my favorite restaurant in Cold Spring Harbor.
Went for lunch for 2 very nice friendly good food but alittle pricey for a lunch $93 😳
Food not up to price charged. Service poor
The food was absolutely delicious!!! I went with my children and husband and even my kids loved the food and they are not easy to impress lol... Atmosphere and entertainment was fabulous.... this was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back!!!!!
When I don't feel like going to Manhattan to hear jazz, I usually come here. A big plus is the food, which is outstanding.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our night out at Grasso's. The level of care shown by the entire staff was very evident and the food was well prepared and tasty as well. The live Jazz music was non-intrusive and appreciated and the general noise level was a little loud but very tolerable. I was a little surprised at the price of the Ravioli, which I asked to be made from an appetizer to a main dish - $32 seemed a bit much.
Overall though, we had a good time and will return again (this was our fourth time).
The food was very overpriced for it’s horrible quality! Neither mine nor my husband’s meals were worth finishing.
We both ordered the “Burrata Ravioli” to start. I expected to eat a light dish of Burrata in ravioli and what I received was an overly sauced ravioli that tasted as if it came out of a freezer from the supermarket. I then ordered the duck, which came out overly dry and covered in a tart raspberry sauce. The only highlight on the plate was the truffle mushroom risotto. My husband ordered the Fussili, which was boring and expensive for what it was.
Overall, we did not enjoy our experience and did not appreciate paying Manhattan prices for terrible food. We would not go back!
Zucchini Spaghetti was very bland. The halibut was very good.
Great food wonderful smbisnce
Always great service and food. Made me crab cakes which were not even on the menu! Can hear yourself in a conversation, not too loud.
Warm and friendly from the moment we walked in.
Checked in with our hostess Kathleen and then sat at the bar for a beverage before being shown to our table in the dining room
Great menu, something for everyone.
We had a few dietary requirements and there was no problem.
Dinner and staff - Great.
Also paid a visit by Gail Grasso.
Great evening - We’ll be back!
Always good food, good service, and good live music!
The service was terrific. The food was delicious! The drinks were great & the music just right.
All the salads we had for apps were great.
The veal chop special I had was moist and tender. I would order it again. 2 members of our party had fish which the said was fresh and delicious. The other had the duck that was another hit.
We shared the napoleon and a tartufo to end our meal which was a great ending.
A lovely evening with good food and good music. Loved the lobster roll preparation. Would be terrific as a salad, too!
Disappointed in service, new bread and drinks. Have been going for years. It was never like that before. Will try again.
Great dining, but pricey, depending on what you order. Food was fabulous and the menu had a lot of choices. The owner, Gail is a sweeetheart. She came around to every table and asked how everything was. Gail was truly sincere and cared about the feedback we gave her. We will be back!
One of our favorites. Great music. Wonderful staff. Food always great. Chef accommodates special dietary needs.
The food was great. The service was great. The music was great as well as the ambiance.
Went for lunch. Our first visit. We were very impressed with the food and service. We will definitely be returning.
ate outside which was pleasant but if we had to eat indoors we would have left due to loud music and very noisy. Food is good quality, service decent
I went for a birthday celebration and Grasso's far exceeded my expectations. Everything I ate from appetizers, main course to dessert was so unique and flavorful. The dining experience was even more enjoyable with the live music that played throughout the night.
Food was delicious! The burrata app is THE best I have ever had!
Our first time and Grasso's but it won't be the last. We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. The service was excellent as was the food. Everything was delicious and timed perfectly. The servers were informative and made great suggestions. At the end of our dinner the proprietor came over to introduce herself and make sure we enjoyed our dinner - a lovely personal touch. We'll be back.
