Grappa - Seattle
With our traditional Mediterranean small plates, thoughtfully designed cocktails, and extended wine and grappa list, it is our goal to give you the excellent dining experience you deserve!
Food was great for 3 from our party 4th person had to get new lasagna dish as it came up burned. New dish was great.
Great food and drink. And lots of attention paid to all of the customers. They made us feel as if we were extra special. We will definitely come back. Kudos to all.
The service was excellent and the environment fun and comfortable. The food was good, only because the gnocchi was a bit disappointing, rubbery and not what I’m used to at great Italian places.
Excellent service, atmosphere and menu. We had a wonderful pre theatre dinner. Perfect meal ending was the Turkish coffee, served in a beautifully crafted cast-iron tray with sparkling water and Turkish delight on a side. We will certainly return!
Great food and atmosphere. Couldn’t be happier with my first experience here. Definitely recommend their amazing Summer Gnocchi with pancheta.
It was my first visit to Grappa and I only took advantage of the pop-up menu. I am now anxious to try the regular menu. It was a very nice experience. Loved the background music.
Had a great experience all around.
We all enjoyed our dinners, and the service was good. We ate early (just after 5) and were surprised to learn that they were already out of the Greek Lemon Chicken. My halibut was very tasty but the portion was small for the price.
Great time - great Food and staff!! Came back 2nd night!!
This is truly an amazing place with high quality food and great buzz!
The focaccia and paella were overly salted.
The lamb pappardelle was a hit. All the other entrees and appetizers were delicious.
Incredibly salty. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time.
Dined on the outside, just on the street. It was magnificent! I love how they make the gnocchi!
We had a wonderful evening - relaxed but attentive service, a truly delicious meal, a server who was both helpful and fun, and the pricing was right in line with what I expected but maybe a little less than typical for food of this quality. We'll be back!
The food is great, the wine list is very good, the service has always been good and Grappa has become one of our favorite restaurants. We can always reserve a table early (that's nice) and the location makes getting to City Center for a performance easy. What's not to like?
Outstanding food! Wait staff was sub par and unfamiliar with menu
Had a nice meal, friendly service, reasonable price-point.
Came here on a double date before the opera. Could not have been more pleased. Excellent service, delicious Mediterranean food, great wine and cocktails. Will definitely be returning.
It was a nice scene at Grappa, seated outside enjoying the unusually warm May evening. Although the service was reasonably prompt, the drinks we ordered, gin and tonics, were flat. After we commented to the waitperson, she checked with the bartender and told us he was too busy to check the tonic supply as “he was mixing drinks” (isn’t that what bartenders do??). The waitperson then called the manager over, who seemed puzzled by our complaint, but nonetheless “comped” us on new drinks, which were somewhat better. The food was ok, but not notable.
Love their vegetarian options and wine list. Waitress was incredible.
We had dinner at Grappa on a Monday night, which was great because the restaurant wasn't busy. Our waiter (who was also the bartender) ran light on one of the wine orders, and made a real effort to make that right. He's quirky with a great sense of humor, which fit our party nicely. Everyone felt their dinner order was really good; Grappa has a nice variety of entrees that support vegetarian and gluten-free diners.
The dinner was absolutely amazing and our waiter Gem was wonderful.
Fabulous! We will be back very soon. An array of choices of foods each made to perfection. Wonderful service.
The food was excellent but the service was slow and we felt ignored once the server heard we weren’t ordering wine. As a matter of how, we had to ask for our third course and the bill because the server didn’t check back for a long time, even though she was right next to us taking an order for a table of 6.
Love our waiter - Gem! Food was delicious as well, highly recommend.
Our waiter waiter. Food portions were perfect. Drinks were delicious. Highly recommend!
The location and exterior of this Queen Anne restaurant promise more than the friendly, animated staff can deliver. Nothing - not the chop salad, bowl of risotto or tiramisu - rose above the mediocre. Mostly it tasted like a well-intentioned college student found a cookbook and said, "Hey, how difficult can this be?" These very nice people are in desperate need of a knowledgeable, experienced, capable chef.
Aside from the food, the acoustics of this high-ceilinged, hard-surfaced angular environment seem optimized to kill conversation.
Food and drinks were really good, but because it was restaurant week, it seemed like the kitchen was backed up and it took us a while to get our food. I would definitely give it a shot again, but try avoiding busy times. Also, portions were a little small, my boyfriend had to eat off my plate cause he was still pretty hungry.
We really enjoyed our Restaurant Week choices. The manager checked in several times to insure all was well, and gave a complimentary treat for our table to honor the birthday gal. We felt well cared-for.
A surprise was that our waiter knew next to nothing about grappa, the drink! I had to go home and find out via Wikipedia.
Great food, absolutely perfectly cooked and for the restaurant week menu a nice selection. Also the service here is excellent!
Poor attentiveness from hostess station and then also our waitress. Will not be back.
A nice place. You can sit and eat outside in good weather. It is comfortable in the inside. The food is more like meditteranean and the choice of drinks galore. I had a linguini and my frient had a grilled scallope pinata. They were delicious to say the least. Then Tom had a baklava with ice cream and liked it. We finished with a special: Turkish coffee. It was served with a piece of Turkish delight and Tom said it had made his day. The waitress was kind and frendly, helpful.
We enjoyed our first time at Grappa. The food was very tasty, albeit a tad pricey. The atmosphere was good, nothing great nor bad. Definitely a good spot for a date night.
The food was excellent, and we would definitely go back to try more items on the menu, but the service could use some improvement so that it is in sync with the delicious food and the diners. Our party of four shared all dishes, and every single time we had to ask for a serving utensil and wait for it to arrive. Note to staff: if a table is sharing, just add a serving utensil as a default. Even a couple dining together appreciates a serving utensil and other area small plates establishments do it. Also, the verbal description of the featured wine was not really accurate. Maybe the servers need to know a bit more to advise wine selections. Still, we would definitely go back. Just wanted the service to match the quality of the food!
Grappa is one of my favorite happy hour haunts. Outdoor seating during warmer months makes for a great experience.
The food was excellent but the bar service was slow. It could have been a fluke. We will give it another try for sure based on the food. It’s also kid friendly so to us, it’s a plus
We often take guests to our favorite neighborhood restaurant-always great food and great service!
I had the zucchini noodles with tomatoes, olives, artichoke hears and shrimp and it was delicious.
A great place to have dinner with a friend, easy to hear conversation.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Seattle for a while. I love the ambiance with the different levels, soft lighting, and drip wax candles. Service was great, and the food was excellent. To cap it off, we got two appetizers two seconds and three cocktails all for $150 including tip. Not bad at all!
