Left a bad taste in my mouth. Restaurant closed suddenly.
Had the valentine’s special. Food was good but Portions were cut down and not a great value for the price. The waitress was very slow and inattentive. Not that we were in a hurry but we sat and waited while a couple of other tables that arrived after us were served and gone way before us. Our reservation was at 6:30 and didn’t get out of there until 9 pm.
Food was good. Portions a bit small for price.
Server was friendly but follow-up was poor and my date never got her soup but it was on bill. We never got refills on drinks. Probably won't go back anytime soon.
Did not recognize our anniversary, even though I entered in reservation; said that info didn’t show up in their system (it does for all other restaurants I’ve booked on open table); table was dirty when we sat down; reservation was for 8:30-only one server working-was told they have fewer staff that late at night, so I guess don’t go that late if you want good service?? Food was subpar and no refills bc server was not attentive due to so many tables. Called the next day to speak with manager. Was told gift card would be sent so we could try again. That was 2 weeks ago-still waiting for gift card!
Our waiter was helpful, and kept our drinks refilled
New years dinner special was so delicious. Portions great and cooked perfectly
Service was extremely slow and inattentive. We waited at door for over 5 minutes before being greeted. Server was pleasant but very scattered and not on top of our needs. The food was decent but overall the experience left us questioning whether we should return.
The only thing that I did not like was putting the tables so close together that you couldn't even move your chair. When you did move your chair you were hitting the person besides you.
We generally have loved coming to granite city. We always make a reservation so we dont have to wait. We walked right in and were seated. Which was great. But wasnt very busy inside at all. We waited quite awhile even for order to be taken and even longer then we have ever waited for our food. I could see if it was busy but not even close. Empty tables all over. The prices have gone up significantly and making us to want to try and find somewhere else to dine when we do decide to dine out. Keep raising prices in a very price driven town with all the restaurants and soon will be out of business like TGIF
Everyone who served us showed attentiveness and a friendly welcome. Well managed restaurant!
I had the chicken and biscuits and biscuits were hard. The chicken was good though. Others in the group thought their food was ok.
Extremely slow service for menu items during brunch buffet time.
I love GC! But the brunch has not impressed me the past couple times we've been there. I love the regular menu and Beers though!!
Convenient location but food was not very good at all.
I enjoy Granite City Food & Brewery. We went for the Sunday brunch. Overall, the food and selections were good. I have to say, the omelette and prime rib were probably the best items on the buffet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back at Granite City but probably not for the brunch.
We love this place!
The staff is awesome, you feel like your eating, drinking and talking with friends!!
1st timer. Everything was delicious. Prime rib sandwich was outstanding just as was the chicken and biscuits my wife had.
I would have given this a higher score for service, but I had a coupon for my appetizer and when I got home I noticed it had not been applied to my bill. Our waitress was very nice and otherwise did a good job.
Great brewery feel, back up by good beer and food.
We had a great experience
Ww waited at hostess station for ten minutes to be seated - only one hostess on duty at 6pm. Server disappeared for long periods of time - we had a long wait to place our orders, for our beverages, for our entrees and a very long wait for the bill. We have enjoyed many good lunches at Granite City but we won’t be back again for dinner.
The fish tacos were awful. The table was not wiped off. The was a dried piece of lettuce on the table during our entire meal.
Service was very poor, waitress was overworked with too many table to assist. Food was cold, manager just took it off receipt instead of getting fresh hot food.
The food and atmosphere is excellent. The wait staff are super friendly and the prices are good. You can hold a conversation with the people at your table and not be overwhelmed by the noise volume which is essentially non-existent. I live this restaurant!
Grandsons 18th Birthday
Food quality has really declined. There was no thick rumchata French toast which was my wife’s favorite item. The last time we were there is was brought fresh to the table. This time the waitress said “oh, it should be on the buffet”. There was only some thin regular French toast. Nothing special. The prime rib was the smallest piece of meat I’ve ever seen at a carving table. Food was at best average. Waitress did not tell us about donut station or any of the options.
Experience was great
We were 8 of us. We were seated inside first, but it was cold and it was a beautiful evening, so we asked to be seated outside. The food, drinks, ambiance was wonderful on the patio. Lexi was a great server. I highly recommend the patio for summer evenings.
Great brewery! Be sure to ask about growler deal!
Food was good but I would have wanted to be warned that the Salmon Stir Fry dish was spicy. I would have order the other Salmon choice. The service was pleasant but our server forgot our wine which came with the meal. I usually drink a glass a wine with some bread or a salad and once my entree arrives I switch to water. I had also mentioned in my reservation that it was my birthday but our server did not mention it. We did have a good time and I’ll make another Open Table reservation where we’ll hopefully have a little better experience.
Sat in bar area across from service area. Bartenders were our servers. Servers were chatty, rude to each other, swearing and storytelling. They had run out of several food choices early on a Saturday evening. Food took longer then expected for what we ended up ordering. Very over priced for the quality of food, service and atmosphere.
Brunch buffet. There's a good variety. Friendly staff!
Great Sunday buffet at a reasonable price. Fresh shrimp, omelets, thick sliced bacon. Champagne mule is awesome!!
First time at Granite City.. And I have fell in love. I will definitely be back.
Servers Pleasant and Service Quick
Many Buffet Choices Including a Donut Bar
Took kids to Easter brunch. Price was great but more choices in food was expected. Food tasted great! Service was great as well! Should have had a spot set up for pictures with Bunny as well as table visits
The Easter Bunny Breakfast was wonderful--the kids really enjoyed the Donut Station, fresh fruit, French toast, cartoons on the tv, and meeting the Easter Bunny! Lots of choices at the Breakfast Buffet, server was excellent, Easter Bunny posed with the kids for pictures, and gave each child a plastic egg with an Easter Bunny in it! Fun Family Event :)
food was delicious. my kids got to meet the Easter bunny and had a wonderful time...
I really enjoyed the food and time I spent my family
