Hi we dinned on Friday 7th May 2021. The staff and food were outstanding. The room was far to hot and had to get a door opened as very stuffie.
There was a large table of people who allowed there young children to run a muck in the restaurant, yelling shining a torch in people’s faces, running around annoying other diners. The adults were very loud banging on tables letting the children do what ever they wanted. At no stage did the staff ask for the children to be contained at the table. We did not make a complaint at the time as it was obvious the staff new these people.
We did not stay after we had finished our food to have another couple of drinks as it was very unpleasant.
The meal was outstanding my husband had the chicken wrapped prosciutto and he said he wasn’t very hungry but he cleaned his plate up. It’s a set menu so we had to have dessert and because “he wasn’t hungry” haha we took it with us he ate it the next day and absolutely raved about it.
I had the ribs and the meat just fell off the bone.
The lady who served us was so nice and friendly.
I would definitely eat here again.
Good range of options for a set two course meal. Staff were excellent and food was good as well. No complaints here.
We enjoyed our meals and wine. The female server was extremely helpful and efficient. The large dinning room was quite noisy and the temperature was cold. The small wood fire up near the bar area was not sufficient to warm the dinning room and the air conditioning was not being utilised.
Lovely service. Great mains. Cheese platter was underwhelming.
Great atmosphere with the timber interior and good sized food portions. Service was very efficient and waitress extremely friendly. Husband enjoyed the beer tasting pallet. A simple but good wine list to suit most. Was offered a kids menu which they loved. Definitely recommend for dinner.. book in advance if you can.
The brewery itself is a charming building with a cosy vibe. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and Macy the gorgeous dog was a welcome visitor to our table. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding, you couldn't get better value for money. We also enjoyed some lovely craft beers in a tasting paddle with lunch. 100% recommend a visit and I'm looking forward to my next one!!!
Stayed in one of the cottages and had dinner here during covid period, so the restaurant was fairly quite with limited numbers, but the food and service was excellent. I would certainly recommend it for dinner and/or a stay.
Food use to be great, last 2 visits food reheated slop including dessert.
My family and I went here for dinner and really enjoyed our meal, I am rather fussy so it was nice to walk away satisfied. The staff here were very helpful, friendly and efficient.
There was not one person that we encountered that was not a delight to deal with.
The establishment itself was clean and neat and I observed the staff adhering to the COVID regulations with the utmost professionalism.
We thought the 3 course meal was very good value and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you for a lovely night.
Food here was excellent. Serving sizes were good, suitable for hungry men. Set price for main meal and desert. Value for money is good but I don’t eat desert and was still charged for 2 courses.
Beautiful setting even in these trying times restaurant and bar service was exceptional.
Really good place for celebrate anniversary, good food, good wine and I recomend to try the Rumblara Impi Cream
Great value food. All home made. Enjoyed the tasting.
We stayed here for two nights and had dinner in the restaurant on the first night. Whilst my wife enjoyed her two courses, I was disappointed. My choices were the twice cooked pork belly and the ice cream slice. Although the pork came with a piece of crispy skin placed on top, there was so much sloughy globular fat, I had to scrape it off. I had expected twice cooked belly to have rendered the fat much more than was presented. When the ice cream slice arrived, it was as hard as concrete. It had obviously just come out of the freezer. I would have thought that it should have taken out when the order was placed. Ten minutes later I was able to carve a piece off, but it tasted like that last bit of ice cream that you find in the freezer that’s been there for so long. Certainly not fresh. So in conclusion, I would certainly recommend the brewery element of the establishment for its great beers, but not so much the restaurant.
Really enjoyed the cabin it was clean and comfortable. The service and Restaurant were fantastic with a great choice of wine and beer. Breakfast on the porch of our cabin was the best way to start the day. Definitely heading back there again!
The menu is for two or three courses. The meals are very tasty but the price I think is at the top end of reasonable. However about right for this level of food in a tourist area. Having said that the staff are very nice and the venue is cosy inside and fresh out on the deck. Deck could do with some ambient light.
The food was delicious new menu really impressive
Our meals were outstanding. Despite not being a beer fan, I ordered the tasting paddle, which probably was a bit wasted in me. But wow! The food!
I had the” skippy salad” and pork belly. Both were perfect and the dressings completely balance the meats and salads.7
Great service , the cost of the food and size of the portions were good. Nice local venue.
We love dinning at the Lodge for dinner - good choices for the 3 course meal - delicious food and great value
Staff friendly and helpful- new chef is excellent
Was disappointed that you had to order either a 2 course (main and dessert) or a 3 course meal and did not have the option to order a starter & main or just a main course.
The food was really delicious, I wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again. The only thing that could have made it better would be to see a few more smiles from the wait staff (we all have off days). I’d still highly recommend treating your tastebuds to their three course dinner.
Good food and service for the price, friendly staff. Enjoyed tasting all the beers.
I will be back. Great food and loved the beers, staff were great, atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.
Fantastic food. The flavors of all the food we tried were outstanding. Different, effort, presentation, all the best parts of a great well thought dish.
If you like food to taste different and feel that someone has spent a lot of time thinking about flavor combinations, this is teh place. If you want food to taste like its title or the norm..go elsewhere
Had the 2 course dinner menu for $45 pp. Great food in a nice location.
The food was nice. It was a set menu and some products I think we were prepared earlier in the day as they didn't seem as fresh. It was very filling and we both didn't mind our meal but didn't love it either.
Due to Brisbane Covid lock down we were one of only two customers there. So the service was great and very friendly. Food was very good, a three course dinner with good variety. Free drink on arrival can include a four glass beer tasting which I had. Overall a very enjoyable evening and recommended to all.
A must visit when coming to the Granite Belt or a regular event for a local... this restaurant never fails to please. From the friendly hospitality and welcome to the tasty food and beers and cider brewed onsite, you won’t be disappointed when you come here for lunch or dinner! We will be back! Again and again and again!
Not just pub food, much better. Great simple food, done well. Service brilliant.
Great food, friendly staff, very clean accommodation.
Enjoyed our stay, but too short.
The food and beverages were excellent. There was a misunderstanding with my main meal which became a disaster as it never arrived. But the food we had was excellent and hey! these things happen! They were very apologetic and generous in reducing our bill and providing take away dessert which were delicious. We will definatley be back.
Had to chase up meals numerous times with no apology. Over an hour wait between mains and dessert. Staff didn’t seem to care less.
Great food and service. Beers are tasty and plenty to try. Must book as very popular and busy! Worth a visit. We will be back.
Lunch set menu of $35 was a very good value. Food was great, but the most thing impressed me was their service. The place was busy and all tables were occupied by diners. Yet, all the staff were smiling without showing stress or rush back to the kitchen, and checking customers' tables if everything was ok.
We definitely recommend people to go this place, either just for a nice drink after a long walking in the national park or a nice meal.
Food was cooked to perfection and super tasty. Big serves. Service was great.
Lovely place with great selection of beers and a good value menu. We'll worth a visit if you are in the area.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. We recently visited with friends for dinner and
returned with more friends today for lunch. We were not disappointed. Great variety and staff were able to help without any fuss one of our party who had a dietary requirement.
As it was lunch we anticipated that the meals would be small but they were a quality serve and we all had trouble squeezing in dessert (not that we left any).
Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
Wanted to go for Tasting paddles but taken as part of the set 3 course menu just amazed all our tastes.3x choices all of which were tempting and delicious.
The welcome, attention and service throughout was exceptional.
The paddle options were lovely and wines etc were equally delicious.
Big groups are well catered for nothing to fault just no time to keep going back...till next visit to Stanthorpe.
