The former SENS Coffee at the base of the Meriton has been transformed into a beautifully minimalist Japanese-inspired cafe, with epic eats and some serious hip-hop vibes.
The all-day brunch menu is inspired by street-side eateries in Osaka and Tokyo, with Tokyo native Head Chef Yuta Hosksokawa redesigning to fit your brunching needs. Be warned- You wont find bacon & egg rolls here... instead, be inspired with a range of daring brunch entries that aim to impress and satiate even the most discerning of diners. Be replenished with Japanese sips such as Hojicha lattes, iced matcha jelly and house-made Umeshu, a range of curated tap beers and of course, our premium Campos coffee is always on the menu. Sando is still as fabulous as always. A bit disappointed of the omurice, rice itself taste a bit funny. Tiramisu is good but it’s served on a plate not the wooden box as shown on the menu. But def worth go and try

It’s a shame that the food was ‘instagrammable’ in looks but sadly it didn’t taste good. The tamago sando had so much mayonnaise on it that it was very unpleasant to eat, the pork katsu sando was way too sweet and the chips with the nori and poached egg had a funky flavour. A shame, as we were really excited to try this place and we love Japan and have been many times.

We were greeted with the comment "You are late" (Booked for 11am, got in door at 11:03am). Then my drink never arrived until my friend and I finished the food. Upon inquiring, instead of a "I'm sorry", the first response by the girl was "I will check your order". Then the drink was made. Obviously forgotten. No apologies at all. Food wise - pork katsu sandwich very juicy. Portion is decent. Korokke was very average. Protein drink (kinako and seasme) was very nice albeit being forgotten. I will not be back. I think there will be better service somewhere else.

Enjoyed my time at Goya for brunch with my girlfriend! Their food is one thing, but man.. the interior. The fusion of modern interior and the Japanese zen style with lots of wood was just so aesthetic to look at and peaceful. You have got to try their Sando menu! Highly recommend!

Katsu sand was pretty good. My friend asked about where the bathroom is. Staff told her different direction. She asked another staff who said other way , also didn't tell her needed bathroom key. That was disappointing.

I am not sure how long a reservation could stay, but when we almost finished, a lady staff came to tell us that other booking is waiting, means we should go. She looks a bit of not patient. We had a baby, so it maybe took longer to finish the meal. However, what the staff had told us with the attitude, makes me a little bit uncomfortable. The food is good, but too noisy, the music was too loud,may not going back again.

the food was amazing! so was services and i was overall happy with everything! the only small dissatisfaction that i was was that my angus sando was not advertising neat (not compressed and standing upright) perhaps due to the beetroot pieces? i’ve had a look at other peoples stories from the same day and theirs seemed to be neat, however i do not know whether they straightened it themselves or if it was served a little bit better than mine. it was super busy and popular, WHICH MAKES THIS SANDO SITUATION COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE, but it looked a little little little disappointing in the pictures that i took 😅😅 booking system well managed, seating easy since we were prioritised. i absolutely loved it, will be returning in the near future.

Menu offers gluten free bread but was told when ordering that they didn't have any. Also didn't have the only omurice option on the menu that didn't have batter/crumb. Service was lackluster, probably due to it being understaffed. Music was loud (and pretty terrible tbh).
