Gourmet Food Parlour - Dun Laoghaire
Restaurant busy for brunch/lunch. Quite noisy. Food moderate to good. Service nothing special
Food was fabulous.. early bird delicious. Waitress was a joy natural and friendly attentive but not overly so. Will definitely return.
Very nice food, went for brunch, good selection and very generous portions.
Service very efficient- we could have been in fed and out in 15 minutes!!! Ordered an extra tapas just to make the evening last a bit longer..
Very convenient venue and a good selection of varied starters and main courses. Coffee also was very good. A little under staffed the night we were there so service was a little slow but very nice staff.
Group of five and the acoustic was great for hearing conversations. Music wasn't intrusive which was very pleasant.
Thank you for requested table. And bigger thank you fir being so accommodating to one of our food restrictions. We all as always enjoyed our meal
Rathere disappointing - lots of little slippages compared to many previous visits here. Slow cooked lamb was once the best thing on the menu but now it's no longer on the menu at all. Once exciting dishes are now bland eg v little taste of crab in the crab salad, feta tasteless / pre-diced, etc. And no sign of anyone checking if all was ok til clearing away after main course. A real pity: this used to be a gem.

3 generations of my family visìted The Gourmet Food Parlour (Dun Laoire) following a recommendation by another family member. We all loved it and it was delightful in every way. It had a great buzz at lunch/brunchtime on a Sunday. The hostess was really accommodating and kindly seated us in their quietest room. The staff were both professional and kind. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, hot and plentiful. 2 guests were vegetarian and were thrilled with their many options. The Eggs Benedict was one of best ever. The birthday guest's dessert (brownie) was served really thoughtfully, and with a candle. We would 100% recommend The Gourmet Food Parlour based on our wonderful experience there. Many thanks to the staff for making it extra special! PS the coffee was excellent too!
Hi Cathy Many thanks for your review and we are delighted that you all enjoyed your visit to our Dun Laoghaire restaurant and we hope to see you all again soon. Many thanks Team GFP
I’ve written an email to GFF regarding my poor experience. The service was extremely disappointing.
This is a nice, casual place for lunch and a buzzing place for dinner.
Thanks Phillipa - See you soon Team GFP
Very relaxed, lovely staff and delicious food. Thank you.
Hi Judith, Many thanks for your kind words. We appreciate all your feedback. See you soon Team GFP
The menu online is totally different to the actual menu. There was no Kids Tapas menu, part of the reason we went. No garlic aioli with chips as it states on menu? My daughter tried to order dessert of
cookies and was bluntly told no cookies, no apology, just darn right rude. The burger was tasteless and certainly not worth the money. Service was not good and we we never asked how our food was. We sat beside the door as you enter, big mistake. The waitress dropped all the food menu's which are on a board the the noise was frightening, everybody jumped, no apology given. The menus could do with a face lift as they were very grubby and worn, plus filthy. When we received our bill, the waitress stood there beside us not giving us the comfort to check this bill. Overall the experience was not great, food fair, staff rude and we will certainly not be returning. I would not recommend Gourmet Food Parlour Dun Laoghaire.
Good selection of food. Tasty and different. Friendly staff
Great breakfast with excellent and fast service on a busy Sunday!
I had a very pleasant meal. Food was very tasty I ordered the roast chicken sandwich and my partner ordered the chicken quesadillas both tasted delicious! The staff were very friendly and coffee was amazing! Will definitely be back and totally recommend it. Will be back soon

Excellent service by our server. We were given ample time to decide our order. The food was delivered to our table promptly and without any delay between courses. The food was delicious and excellent value for money as we availed of the early bird menu. Serving staff were very attentive. Would recommend GFP and I will be back!

Adult sons, girlfriend and ourselves (parents) had a very tasty brunch in GFP prior to All Ireland Football final. Between us, we had a section of Farmhouse Breakfasts, scrambled egg and pancakes with bacon. Everyone was very happy with food; good quality, nicely cooked and plenty of it. Service was excellent and very friendly; there was plenty of banter about the match and it set us all up nicely for the day. Match a draw so looks like we'll have to repeat the exercise in another 10 days!
Hi Joan, We’re glad you loved the breakfast menu! If you come by on Saturday, we think you’ll love the pancakes.
Would recommend but on this occasion service was very poor.
We enjoyed the lovely food, but very disappointed by the level of service and attitude of the staff
Good food, nice atmosphere, terrible service.
Great experience. Waitress was professional and gave us plenty of time to decide your meal. She was polite and friendly, The meal was delicious and good value for money.
Thank you for the kind words. We’re so happy your visit at GFP Dun Laoghaire went so smoothly. We’d love to continue providing great service. Thanks again!
Food for the adults was good, and generous portions. Chips lovely. Water good value. What let them down was the kids pasta & tomato sauce for eur 6.50. A bowl of linguine barely coated in sauce. Not the most practical pasta shape for small kids & I make a better sauce myself. Very disappointing for the money. Can't help feeling ripped off.
great food at great value. Service was brilliant and nice atmosphere
I have eaten in this restaurant several times and have always had a good experience. Pleasant staff . Nice surroundings and very good food . Will be back

Excellent food and service. Staff were all lovely and accommodating.
I always thought there could be no science or big secret in preparing scrambled eggs with toast. Well, I was wrong. I don’t know what their secret is, but the scrambled eggs and toast I just had at the Gourmet Food Parlour were absolutely amazing. I will be going back again and again and again …
Hello Ricardo, thank you for the kind words regarding the breakfast. We’re so happy your visit at Dun Laoghaire went so smoothly. We’d love to continue providing great service to awesome customers like you. Thanks again! Esther
It was a lovely way to spend a Saturday evening with family !!!
Chic ambiance, good food, nice staff, good value, my fave table spot in the big round table! Defo have to come back again with
The chips that came with my dish were very greasy. Overall nide place but food a little below par
Food and Service very good, noise level very high due to high roof, so expected but music was added making a conversation between 6 at a table impossible, add some kids/babies ;-) and you have the opportunity of even more noise.
Was very disappointed with this visit. I don't know if they were short staffed but the food was cold when it arrived. Cold tomatoes and cold eggs. My husband also thought his sausages had been microwaved. Second coffees took ages to arrive so we were nearly ready to leave when they did. Normally I love visiting here so I hope it was just a bad day.
Excellent food and customer service. We were really well looked after
Nice food, great service, menu with a difference, overall very good for lunch
Food is fab, love this place for lunch! It’s reasonably priced and Dun Laoghaire is the perfect place for a walk afterwards!

Amazing food and great service! Thanks for a great experience!
We had booked a table for 230 we were seated and we were given menus which we waiting to be served for 15 to 20 mins by a manager the man who served us was not very friendly took our order and we then waiting another 25 mins for our food to be served the service was not good. I asked the man re our food and he just shrugged his shoulders luckily the food was worth waiting for but not good enough
