Always a 5 star experience, from the quiet ambiance to the personal and thoughtful service, to the incredible and beautifully curated menu.
Absolutely love Gorgi’s. Always such a wonderful experience.
One of the best restaurants in Dallas. I have enjoyed Chef Gorgi’s food and service for years. He will make your dining a spectacular event
Beautiful little restaurant. Food prepared by the chef, who greats you and is your host. Good staff all around. Fresh, excellent food. Highly recommended.
Gorji makes you feel special! Excellent!
In one word, OUTSTANDING. Every detail is addressed. We will most definitely be back!
Amazing food ,great customer service ,superb wine list , can’t wait to go back.
I was trying to find a new dining experience for our anniversary, and I came across Gorji’s in the best 100 restaurants in Dallas list. Great reviews and the description sounded very interesting, so I decided to give it a try. You definitely have to be on the ball to be able to get a reservation. They only accept reservations 6 days in advance and they only serve 7 tables per night. I stayed up until midnight and was able to get our reservation in for a Friday night. The hassle was definitely worth it. There were only two people working there, a server and the owner/chef. They were both very personable and attentive and made sure everything came out perfectly. With only 7 tables, this made it a very personal and intimate experience.
They have a very eclectic wine list from exotic locales. The wine we chose from Lebanon was outstanding. The menu is small, but still had a good range of food to choose from. I ordered the venison and my wife had the ribeye steak. I have never had such tender meat in my life, and for a meat that is usually gamy and stringy, that is really saying something. I have never taken a bite of food and stopped to say, “Oh my god, that’s good.” But when I took a bite of the risotto, that’s exactly what I did. The price of the meal was comparable to other high end restaurants like Eddie V’s and Capital Grill, but since they don’t accept tips, it actually came out to be much less expensive. All in all, a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone.
Gorji is an old-world character, full of flavor, like his food.
The overall experience of the dinner was excellent, from start to finish. A wonderful restaurant for special occasions with those close to you. Highly recommend Gorji for their great food, great wine, great service & unique take on the dining experience.
Chef Gorji is amazing this was our second visit and we have found both visits equally as amazing - this is the perfect example of a hidden gem
Appreciated being able to meet the Chef himself. He does a fantastic job of adding some Texas flare to his Mediterranean cuisine. Amazing wine as well. Can't wait to go back again!
Fantastic food with personalized service. The chef checked in with us several times to ensure we were enjoying our meal, & the waiter was always there if we needed him. Tzatziki was fantastic & so was my steak.
Quiet, quaint place. A lovely experience with food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT RESTAURANT! We had dinner at Gorji's (actually called Canary by Gorji) for our 10th anniversary week and it was EXCELLENT! The food was certainly the stand out. Very unique. Each day the items are different. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic and everything we ordered tasted delicious! We had an octopus appetizer, an arugula salad with a dressing that took the arugula to the next level, and a copper river salmon. Summer had the sea-bass. The copper river salmon was excellent. The sea-bass was excellent, but she did slightly prefer the seabass at IIIForks. She enjoyed it and thought it was 5-stars at Gorji's. The copper river salmon was just as good as Connie's at IIIForks but it was nice to have a different presentation in Gorji's Mediterranean style. Everything was very fresh and detailed. The restaurant itself was immaculately, perfectly clean. You can tell that Gorji takes pride in his space. The little details were not overlooked! The owner Gorji himself is the waiter and he does not accept tips, so buy about a 50% more expensive wine so that equalizes out what you would tip him. I wish he would have accepted tips because he certainly deserved it. Everything about the restaurant was 5-stars. The service was 5-stars, attentive and friendly, but not pretentious or stuffy. Gorji waits on you himself and he made sure everything was perfect. It is clear that he inspects and perfects each dish and item personally. We were very impressed. It was our first time and it was recommended by a friend. Great experience! Great food! We were really happy that we spent one of our week-long 10-year anniversary tour dinners at Gorji's! We look forward to returning as frequently as we can! Bon Appetite!
Wonderful, friendly chef. Delicious food. Everything was perfectly prepared. Excellent attention to every detail. A gem.
Wonderful experience. Recommend to anyone
New Zealand venison was superb
Incredible food prepared and a 5 Star Quality Way. Absolutely top-notch service this place is a gem!
One of the most unique restaurants I’ve ever been to! It’s only 7 tables, no kids, no tipping! Chef Gorji serves you himself and he is sooo sweet and takes so much pride in his cooking - which is absolutely divine. I felt like a princess eating here. I can’t wait to come back!! Thanks Gorji!!
My favorite restaurant. Pricey but worth it! Now if pay cash will get 5% off. Tip included which make prices seem higher
I have already recommended this to place to several people. Gorji is fine dining at its best. The restaurant was very intimate and the atmosphere was wonderful. The owner has his hands in every aspect of the experience and it was a treat getting to meet and speak with him.
The food was fantastic and the wines were excellent. It's pricey, so it won't be a regular visit, but we will absolutely be going back.
From what I understand, Michelin doesn't rate restaurants in Texas. Gorji is the restaurant that should get Michelin into Texas. Simply incredible all around.
One of the hidden gems of Dallas! Some of the best quality food and best possible service you will find in the country!
If you are looking for expertly prepared food in an intimate setting where the chefs personality is as much a part of the foods seasoning as the bright sumac he sprinkles on his expertly chosen fresh vegetables then you have found the right place. Every course, every ingredient is carefully weighed for its flavor profile and place in the meal and then matched with a cooking method to allow each individual component to sing its own song but also add its voice to the chorus of the plate. The price is steep when you go all in with wine, three courses and dessert (don't shy away from a nice glass of port as a capper) but worth it. This is a place that you should mark down for a revisit at least twice a year (and more if you have the budget).
Small restaurant with excellent service, great food and wine selection. The chef/owner takes great pride and it shows.
Perfect in every way!
The chef made us fee at home. I’m a vegetarian and he modified a dish for me so I get I was eating a full meal and it was not something that was an afterthought. He was personable and hospitable. Our food was wonderful. It’s a no tope restaurant which was a plus. I highly recommend.
If you are looking for a quiet dinner with food so good you stop conversation mid-sentence then look no more. Chef Gorgji makes food that is fantastic and the hospitality is literally the best I have experienced anywhere in Dallas. This is a place to celebrate and be celebrated.
I can’t believe we’ve lived in Dallas this long and have never experienced this exceptional restaurant. The ambiance was sophisticated and quiet, the service was meticulous yet welcoming, the wine list was interesting and varied and the food was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious.. If you are looking for loud and rambunctious, this is not the place for you. But if you want a lovely, elegant, and memorable evening, you really need to visit Gorji’s. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Awesome as always!!
The food is incomparable to anywhere else in Dallas. The chef is hands on and cares about every guests experience. The restaurant only has a handful of tables so the noise level is perfect and the atmosphere never feels cluttered or overwhelming. I would suggest Gorji and his restaurant to anyone and everyone.
Such an incredible dining experience. Absolutely phenomenal experience!
Absolutely Amazing! Charming, personable, and delicious - our time at Gorji's was a definite memory maker for us. I was hesitant to leave a review because I don't want to make it harder for me to get a table when I want! Gorji only has 7 tables so if you want to go, reserve early! The best steak I have ever had.
Great place for a special occasion. Food was unique and exceptional. Service was great. However, portions were very small and it is very expensive.
Gorji is a sweetheart! Food is above average and worth the price!
Glad we tried Gorji's ! Loved the quaint atmosphere - wanted a quiet/ romantic venue for a date night and my wife was very pleased. Not to mention the food/ wine was outstanding, Gorji makes it fun and has very creative dishes. Had a great Bordeaux he recommended - all in all a great dining experience- We will be back! Highly recommend Gorji !
i can't believe that I did not find this jewel earlier. It has been around for more than 16 years. Best date night spot, if you like to eat at your own pace and not be rushed. there are only 7 tables and each table gets booked once per night -- so take your time and enjoy your date night. We loved it.
The atmosphere at Gorji’s was absolutely perfect for a romantic date night. The food was outstandingly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. James, the waiter, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Gorji himself was a presence in the restaurant and not just the chef. He even allowed us to sit and visit while cleaning up. You definitely get what you pay for! The serving sizes aren’t oversized as they are at many restaurants, but the quality is well worth the price.
Excellent dining experience, small, intimate with great food and wine.
The food and wine were delicious. We ordered the venison and ribeye. It was my first time trying venison. I also loved the salad with pomegranate.
Great dining experience. Intimate restaurant with 7 tables so you get a lot of personal attention from the chef (Not overbearing/intrusive). Food was outstanding - we will definitely go again.
