We dined here on Boxing Day night so the degustation menu was not available. We had the crab omelette and prawns for starter. Both fantastic. Then we had the meat for 2 which was a T-bone steak. The steak was cooked to perfection and the portion was very generous. Came with two sides, truffle mashed potatoes and red cabbage salad with roasted hazelnuts and pomegranate. This steak for 2 was definitely better value than ordering 2 separate steaks, I think we ended up with about 900g of meat between us.
We usually order two desserts but were getting full so ordered only one which was the gooey chocolate tart with apricots, toffee popcorn and ice cream. I didn’t really like the apricots on the tart but the rest of the dessert was lovely .
The sommelier recommended a fantastic red wine to go with our meal, 10/10!
Overall we had a great meal and would be glad to go back there again.

Glass Brasserie is my favourite in Sydney
Fantastic service, Stunning venue, Relaxed ambiance, absolutely wonderful food, easy to park underneath
This place just makes me Smile 😊

The food was not worth the price.
For $200 per head plus alcohol works out to be about $250 per head.
We are a family that cooks and we all agreed the food was pretty average and lacked that luxurious feel that Christmas should be..
The food was quite complicated but it didn’t work... There was no table flowers or decorations/arrangements (except the pudding which is for 1 person) we don’t all live in the same household!
Some flower arrangements to break up the tables and give it a special feel would have been nice...
We were really disappointed -especially with the food...I am sorry to say that- but - I have to be honest, as we all feel feel this way.
One good point is that the service was satisfactory.

Christmas Brunch was a perfect way to start Christmas Day. The food was very interesting and delicious and the right balance of flavours to still have a Christmas theme. I would certainly think about starting Christmas Day the same way again.

We are regulars, the new floor manager is not up to the usual standard
Service in general including our waiter was sub standard
Should not have left 10% tip I did not thin it was merited but did not want to appear mean
Dined on 23/12
The front counter persons are very nice BUT a few waiters served table either in a rush or didn’t really care, putting down the cutleries without manner, just like dropping or throwing them, took away the emptied sparking water bottle without asking if we want another one or tap water, and when I asked them for water he poured the water like in a real rush and spilled. When they served the dishes, the waiter came to the table anywhere, left and right of me from my back at the same time but didn’t acknowledge me the dishes are on, even when I asked another waiter the way to the bathroom, the person gave me a grumpy look just say “downstairs B1” and turned away, I was like ....... did I say anything wrong, I did say “please”, not sure if the person was in a bad mood or something.
I understand it is not fair the persons need to work in the festival season rather than spending time with family but I don’t think i deserve this grumpy attitude and the rushing service.
The overall experience was not satisfying.
Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention. I apologize on behalf of everyone at glass. You have my personal commitment to improve the way our staff serves every customer. Best regards, Luke
I have eaten many times at the Glass. Over 3 times in the last 2 months . We take clients there for its quality and wide range of food selection. Since Covid -19 the items on the menu as reduced with only a select number of entries and mains. The wine list only have a short list of wines. I understand that you need to cut costs, but if you go to the Rockpool or Icebergs there menu has been shortened but still offer a good selection of pastas, meats and seafoods . It was disappointing that we had to wait 45min for or mains to arrive after the entries, our client made note of this ... Next time when just using Glass our go to restaurant for clients, we will start looking to see what the other top restaurants are offering.
I booked the wine bar lunch for my work Christmas lunch. The steak was amazing! Probably the best I've had in ages. The $29 lunch deal was a great value for money. I'll definitely head here again pretty soon

Glass is always a fantastic venue, though a bit noisy because of poor acoustics. Unfortunately the Hilton that it is in is a quarantine hotel so armed police meet you at the door and send you to a side entrance, the bathrooms are blocked off from the restaurants and you look out over all this covid quarantine security. Its a very depressing ambience. Very sad come down from my last visit.
Meals fell short of the 5 star fine dining experience. The portion sizes were generous and would be sufficient to satisfy the big eater. Staff and service fell short on many occasions. Expensive for what it is but probably would impress some, we went there because I had a function nearby and AMEX gave us a $75 voucher. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Only complaint was 2 of the 4 main dishes arrived and we had to wait several minutes before the remaining two dishes were served. There was then a delay of several minutes before the sides were served so these should have all come out at basically the same time and not well over the 5-6 minutes it took. Otherwise the rest of the experience was very good.
This was one of the BEST dinners I've had in a long time. I have been here before but they really outdid themselves this time. Food was perfect, service fantastic. Couldn't fault a thing. We had a group of 6 people and the restaurant was booked out.
Have already emailed my experience of lunch on Friday
Thoroughly enjoyed our celebratory dinner at Glass recently. Food and drinks - especially the cocktails - were great. The service was wonderful. Very attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommended.
Two of us went on a Wednesday night, quite packed. Ordered Degustation.
Not great service and no dedicated waiter serving us, unexpected with a five star hotel restaurant.
Food-wise:
1. Ocean trout sashimi - freshness of the fish overtook by the spiced sauce. Fish was fresh though.
2. Grilled prawn - a dish with mixed feeling. I liked the dish a lot as prawn was cooked just right. Although can't taste dashi favor, it is still a very yummy garlic butter prawn. However, on the other hand, we were very disappointing to see one of the prawn/plate was based with garlic butter oil, while the other one/plate without. We can't believe this can come out from a five star hotel restaurant. It won't even come out of my own kitchen like this! Ref to photos uploaded you will understand this is unbelievable.
3. Blue-eye cod - fair, but a bit overcooked
4. Lamb loin - though cooked right, but for some reason it was chewy and not soft and tender!?
5. Liquorice meringue roll - not very outstanding liquorice favor, would like to be bit more powerful, as I believe this is the main theme of the roll.
6. Coffee - another disaster, my local coffee shop can do a much better coffee art on my coffee. I would rather they forget about it. It wasn't a good coffee after all.
Food was not great, service and plating were very disappointing. Definitely not worth $150 pp. Very disappointed.
