The only downside was the height of the bench seat (in front of wine rack) relative to the table and the opposite chair. You need to lean forward to hear the other person. A normal chair would be much better.
Consistently good service and food is always lovely
Really great food and service! However they did accidentey charge me twice......
Very disappointed in Glass, I have been to Luke Mangan restaurants in the past and expected more. Our starters and mains all came together due to an error by the waiter, not sure that our mains were cooked afresh. I ordered sirloin and found it a little chewie. Desert was lovely
Great service. Wonderful ambience. Great menu choice. Setting was really cosy, we were by the window and it was really cold outside but you didn't feel it inside and it was nice to be able to look out at the sky.
Superb service and high quality food. The standout was the amazing service from the sommelier, Mauro, who organised stunning wines mathing with the food we were eating.
Best vegan meal I've had in a long time. Would recommend the samosa entrée and ravioli main. Fantastic!
For many years now I have attended Glass. I have boasted about the elegance, food and service to all of my friends. However after my latest experience, my view on Glass has significantly changed.
The food was cold, the waiters were pushy, rushed and rude.
Glass have lost a loyal customer
Splendid atmosphere. Truly enjoyed the foods, mainly desserts.
Booked an early seating so we could get to the theatre. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was superb. Try the crab omelette- simply perfection.
The restaurant is beautiful and modern.
The food were well presented and of good quality. The service was good but not exceptional, it took a while for us to get some attention that we were ready to order our meals.
Enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the Glass Brasserie.
The food, service and location are all top marks.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to best buffet breakfast in Sydney.
Great overall service and made us feel very comfortable...
The food was awesome and each course came out at the perfect time.
Would recommend this highly...
Absolutely beautiful food and amazing staff. A credit to all of you at Glass. We had a superb night and will be back. Thank you!
Fabulous food and wine and a great atmosphere in which to get together with friends for a special catch-up. Will definitely visit again.
Never disappoints. Ambience and service is excellent. Wine selection is superb.
Meat dishes are some of the best in town.
My mum loved the crab omelette and my dad loved the steak. Nice setting for Mother's day. We enjoyed our meal.
Was a very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff and great food.
Simply put. The worst restaurant in Sydney.
The sous vide duck was so disgustingly rich, so oily and with such a slippery texture that I ended up spending an hour in the toilet throwing it back up whilst my dinner guest tried to resist the urge to do the same.
The food isn't just poorly executed. It's lazy and ill conceived. You can't just sous vide some meat, throw it on a plate and then charge $40 for it. Oh that's right. The place is over priced as well.
Stay away everyone. Stay very far away.
We went here as a couple for my wife 70th birthday. From the time of entry to when we left everything was perfect (except the chardonnay which was my choice).
A young Italian waiter looked after us the whole evening and did not intrude on our conversation except to lay the plates. His casual conversation was also excellent.
We both had the sirloin steak, which was shown to us before cooking, and they were cooked to perfection at medium to well done. The vegetables and chips were awesome.
A nice touch was the ice cream delivered on a plate to my wife with "Happy Birthday" in chocolate writing around the edge.
Nice view across to the QVB.
One comment and this is not a criticism of Glass. WE thought there was a fight going on at one point in another part of the restaurant but as we left we saw that there was some sort of open disco going on above us.
Really enjoyed the food and service. Pre-theatre dining was well organised and we had plenty of time to get to the theatre even including ordering dessert. It'd be nice to come back and spend more time.
We have been dining at Glass for many years, often inviting international guests and celebrating special birthdays. We thought Glass would be perfect for our brother in laws 70th. Upon arrival my husband was abruptly told, before he even sat down to remove his hat. This has never occurred anywhere in the world in this modern era. We accepted your rules but as the night progressed we felt like we were dining in a cafeteria. We found the staff uninterested and below the standard of a high priced restaurant. At no point was there any eye contact with us or even small pleasantries, in fact the Menus were snatched out of our hands and knives and forks were dropped all over the floor around us.
The food was well below the standard we have come to expect from Glass. My wife made the mistake of ordering a small tomato, watermelon, mint and mozzarella salad as an entree to be served basically a big bowl of tomatoes NO watermelon, 2 small mint leaves and a whiff of mozzarella. We spoke to the waiter about the lack of watermelon he took the dish away and returned later with a small amount of watermelon added. We have been fans of Luke Mangan since Salt in Darlinghurst even ensuring we visit Salt in Tokyo when it first opened many years ago. As hosts we were very disappointed in the dining experience.
A long time favourite and continues to impress. The degustation with matching wines is a real treat.
Food good but staff were missing in action. Had to call them over on numerous occasions.
Great food, always consistent. Good to see Luke strolling through taking note of what goes on and talking to customers. That is why it is always good.
Yes, I would recommend Glass Brasserie to my friends and acquaintances.
It was overall a good experience.
The food was tasty but... limited choices and not much options for kids to eat.
Excellent food prepared with great skill and best ingredients. Flavours are slanted towards Asia.
Restaurant was packed, very noisy but still a pleasant ambiance. If you want a quiet evening ask to be seated away from the open kitchen area.
Great location, outstanding setting with friendly meet and greet, amazing food and service. Have visited several times, and will do so in the future. Highly recommended.
Overall excellent service, very friendly and helpful but some staff should be more attentive. I requested lemon and ice with my sparkling water and they forgot to bring it. Food was delicious and well presented.
Quality food with exceptional service at a great location.
Fantastic food and service! Mum and I went for a girls dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Highly recommend!
Given the cost of mains, we were pretty disappointed in the food. it was OK but certainly not exceptional.
Great food as always, seemed a little busy and waiters were quite busy but still we enjoyed as always
I book the glass for my birthday with my friends, it is a very nice place to dine in and waiters are professional and patient even can show us different kinds of steaks by models and always smile cater customers needs
We dined at Glass Brasserie for a family birthday occasion, last week. The staff were friendly and efficient and the restaurant has beautiful food, wine and ambience. I had Prawn toast as a starter, the Barramundi and chips, with wilted vegetables, for main, and the Coconut mouse for desert followed by coffee. All courses were absolutely delicious. I hadn't been there for 5 years, but everything was very well done by the staff and chefs, and we will try to get there more often.
We went to celebrate our daughters degree, everything was great except for the waiter was gruff and openly disgruntled when our order was not to his satisfaction. He snatched the menu from my husbands hand when he said no thank you to dessert. When we said we did not want a ‘bottle ’ of wine he snatch all the drinks menu from our hands and walked off. We had to ask for the menus back to order individual drinks from another waiter as he would not acknowledge us. When I asked his name, he said ‘I will be whoever you want me to be’ ????
Delicious food, great choice of wines, service was a little over the top but still very good.
The meal was excellent with a very good menu and matching quality wine list. The staff were friendly and efficient preferring to get it right rather than rushing things. I had kingfish and a steak and my partner shared the entree and had the fish of the day. His first choice of wine was not to taste and the wine waiter recommended two others and allowed him to sample before settling on a better choice.
Great service. Staff were very helpful and lovely. Our booth was facing the QVB, it was such a beautiful place to sit and have breakfast. I was told the honeycomb served at the pastry section was produced at the top level of the building. My 15 year old son and I really love it!
