The food and people were incredible. We both had the RIB eye and twice baked and it was awesome. I mean my ribeye was NY steakhouse good as good as Any I have had. I imagine that when there is a band it is even better

I ordered the Crab Mundo. Those were large round balls that looked more like hush puppies and I think they actually were because the crab meat was 99% non existent. The roasted cauliflower and cilantro rice was average. My friend ordered the Shrimp & Grits and that dish was nothing to rave over. I'm local and won't be going back.

I read some reviews and realized we had a very similar experience as others did. We had reservations and it took over an hour for our food to arrive. Mind you that they were not busy or full. My food was the only one that was warm. I had the pecan crusted salmon. Delish. However, everyone that ordered steak, said it was cold. It had great flavor but the meat was cold. I noticed Waitr service men and women coming and going quite frequently which led me to believe that they were more worried about the to go orders than the people in the restaurant. I would reccommend ordering to go or delivery. Good flavors just not good temps.

No wait on a Saturday afternoon at the beach! I enjoyed the blackened grouper while the wife had the crab mundo. The fish was good and the crab meat topping was definitely a plus. Actually I really enjoyed the rice, too. The crab balls were very good according to the wife. Service was excellent and the environment was very family friendly. Overall we really enjoyed the meal.

The food was fantastic! I thoroughly recommend the steak tacos if you like spicy food. Also, the waitress was super friendly and helpful without being “too much”.

This was our third time in 4 years at Gilbey’s celebrating vacation & my birthday. It was incredibly disappointing. The wait staff was not up to the standard set by previous experience. Our food order was wrong & not up to the flavor & quality of the past. I ordered a steak (medium) with a baked potato. I was served a very very well done steak & mashed potatoes. The manager was kind enough to have another steak cooked for me but it came out almost raw. She noticed as soon as I cut into it & immediately took it back to the kitchen. It came back out cooked correctly but covered in such a large quantity of spices that I couldn’t taste the flavor of the steak. The baked potato I received was the best part of the meal. I don’t usually complain about food if the service is really good nor do I complain about service if the food is good. Unfortunately both were terrible so here we are. We weren’t offered any discount on the bill which is fine, I only add that detail for frame of reference. We won’t be returning to Gilbey’s again on future visits to Orange Beach.

I could cut the filet with a fork. Great food and our server, Maria, was great. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be back!
