Gorgeous, really tasty true Italian food. Service was good but when it started to get busy you could see the staff was struggling slightly. However I would recommend and go back again.
Beautiful food and fantastic service. probably my favourite Italian in Dublin now.
Had a fantastic lunch here on a Sunday, staff are so friendly and charming and the food is just fantastic. Could not recommend it more!
Gigi is a real find. The food is spectacular with the mozzarella a particular stand out. Service is excellent (ask for recommendations) and there are interesting specials. Ignore people who carp about a small menu. It’s a small restaurant so couldn’t sustain a large menu of this quality. All around this restaurant deserves to do well.
Loved Gigi’s. Had a great meal with great service. We will be back.
Great food and friendly service. Perfect for a casual bite to eat.
Small menu, authentic italian food, lovely wine, excellent service.
Excellent food and wine and great service .
Excellent food, handsome bar guy. I will definitely come back (because of the food)
And the guy
Had a lovely night with friends. Staff were v friendly. Food was great. I will be back
It was like stepping back into Italy with being greeted in Italian at the door. The staff made us feel very welcome. Excellent charcuterie board with a large selection. The home made pasta was very good, not to mention the panna cotta and tiramisu. I have already recommended to friends and colleagues. My only slight complaint would be that the tables are too close together and it makes it very difficult to get to the back seat. When the people arrived at the table next to us they knocked over a glass of water on our table due to that, which could have landed in our guest's lap did he not respond so quickly.
Lovely menu and we really enjoyed what we ordered. Great wine list as well. Staff all friendly and nice. Tables very close to one another - at one stage a diner beside us pushed her table almost right up to ours which felt a little claustrophobic but otherwise fab evening here and I will definitely be back!
Really lovely food and excellent ambiance and service.
Loved it, great food n wine n excellent service. Really liked that our table for 2 wasn’t next to another table for 2 as it’s a tight restaurant. Can’t wait to go back
Amazing food and great service. 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend it!
Lovely light healthy food. Wine and Rose choices a bit limited. Great service too
Always super food and service in a quaint & relaxed setting
Very poor gluten free options with no gluten free pasta ! In addition when ordering a starter meat and cheese board which the menu clearly stated was coeliac adaptable there was no gluten free bread or crackers available !! Overall I thought poor value for money with very small portions. Seating was cramped with tables squeezed together. I got to hear more of the conversation from the table beside me then from my dining companions. Disappointing experience from such an experienced restauranteur.
The meal was delicious. I will be back with friends.
Really great experience, pasta was perfectly cooked, waiters were so nice and attentive and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back
My second time here & it did not disappoint I really like Gigi’s. The food is good , nice selection on the food and the wine menu .Some very tasty true Italian specials , small restaurant with great atmosphere & very informative, attentive staff . 4 Stars.
Really lovely authentic Italian food. Only wine seems to be a bit pricey. But lovely friendly service .
Lovely pasta for lunch, prices reasonable for that menu at least. Asparagus and pancetta pasta special and ragu, will be back soon. Nice to be able to book a table for Friday lunch as well, saves disappointment
Excellent food with real authentic Italian service. Lunch option was very reasonably priced and food was amazing. Would highly recommend.
We were blown away by Gigi's. It was a fantastic experience, and will definitely go again.
We had a great night! The staff were so lovely and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend!
Friendly welcome and good service. Good atmosphere. Delicious food.
A lovely, friendly atmosphere once you walk in the door. Our waiter was very good indeed. But, something must have gone wrong in the kitchen! We waited for almost half an hour between finishing our starter and being served our main course. Then, as we were enjoying our coffee, we were very politely asked to finish as there were people waiting for our table. The delay in being served was not of our making!
I would highly recommend GiGi's - the one thing I would change is the music was a little too loud - it is a small venue and at times difficult to hear the conversation among the group between the noise and loud music.
Amazing food and the waiting staff were extremely attentive, could not do enough for us but were not intrusive. It is a wonderful addition to Ranelagh and we would highly recommend it and will be back on a regular basis!
The seating area is quite tight but you’re not on top of each other either, the atmosphere is great and the restaurant is very lively. The waiter had an extremely pleasant manner and there was some tasty specials on offer. We had the sharing antipasti which was amazing and I had the steak for main which had an exquisite charred flavour washed down with a delightful Montepulciano, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Presentation just beautiful, would I recommend it, yes provided you are not really hungry. Having two younger adults with me, they were bitterly disappointed on portion size - really small, bit on the expensive side for what had.
Buzzing little spot with a lovely selection of Italian wine and food. The menu is short but interesting although I will say with the dim lighting very very difficult to read. Perhaps if it was on yellow paper and slightly larger print it might be easier to read. Even the staff commented on how difficult it was. We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of red and some antipasti but I think we’d have ordered more if we could have read the menu.
What we did have was very tasty and the staff were very friendly but rather busy and at times a little too busy to remember who asked for what but I’m sure things will settle.
If you’re looking to relax over your meal be sure you wait until the last seating of the evening as you will otherwise probably be rushed out of your seat.
Overall I would definitely recommend GIGI’s and will definitely be returning.
Birthday meal with 4 friends. Gorgeous mushroom risotto and seafood tagliatelle. Great ambiance and a lovely Happy Birthday greeting from the staff! Definitely will be back
A very enjoyable night out. Very buzzy place so quite noisy, small and intimate. Food is excellent, if a little on the pricey side. Delicious antipasti as well as pasta dishes, but there is something for those who don't want pasta - like my son who had the steak and said it was delicious. Lovely Montepluciano wine. Overall, can highly recommend it. You need to book well in advance.
Lovely meal and great atmosphere in the restaurant!
What is not to like about Gigi! It is a perfect combination of great fresh food, lovely space, fab staff and right in the heart of Ranelagh. It is simple perfect!!
Our first time to visit Gigi and delighted to confirm that the reviews I read were all bang on. Delicious food, great and friendly service . We will definitely be back!
Delicious food coupled with excellent service 👌🏻
The best pasta in Dublin! Most authentic experience outside of Italy. So, so tasty. Service is also fabulous.
