Gather at Coriole
Head Chef Tom Tilbury has created a menu inspired by his passion for gathering wild and local ingredients, and creating unique tasting experience for diners. Guests can choose the wine paired chef's selection to receive an immersive dining experience highlighting the best of our Estate and local produce or select from the a la carte menu.
Please note that on Sunday's we offer a set Chef's shared menu and a snack menu.
The dynamic menu is complemented by an extensive wine list featuring current release and museum Coriole wines as well as an international selection.
The chef's selection menu was magnificent and outstanding value for money.
Overall a nice experience, however one of our servers was quite abrupt with our guests who were waiting for our arrival (I had booked but was unfortunately running late due circumstances beyond our control). Our friends, new to Adelaide, were unceremoniously told that the 12pm booking 'had to end at 2pm' therefore a food order 'needed to be placed' (before our arrival) .. in order "to make it out on time". I consider this amazingly rude and not very understanding, particularly when their restaurant was no-where near capacity for the afternoon. Disappointed. Would rather go elsewhere in the future.
Great staff, super view and the meal was enjoyable. Salad highly recommended as very fresh and dressing was clean and refreshing. Great calming view looking out over the area. Highly recommended.
i would highly recommend this restauarant a the vineyard. It is a superb winery with great wines. We did a short 1 hour visit and the restaurant was able to accomodate us with horderves and 3 courses and time for wine tasting! The food was superb. Literally some of the best we had in Adelaide
Overall disappointing after a great previous experience
Thank you, you have a lovely setting - garden is amazing, plus aesthetically pleasing and tasty food.
Delightful food in a beautiful setting. Every dish was excellent from starters to dessert. Service was pleasant but a bit erratic and the sharing plates didn't work well with our table numbers. More guidance on that would have been helpful. Otherwise brilliant.
Delicious food, excellent service at a stunning location!
Was refused a coffee on arrival as kitchen was supposedly very busy. Eventually was offered one by lovely girl and enjoyed it sitting outside
Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views and delicious food. Loved the Sunday roast, not something I would normally order but all 5 courses were divine and it was nice not to make any decisions and just enjoy the food. The perfect amount for two people. We will be back. :)
Lunch as a part of a McLaren vale hop off hop on winetour. Haf a great lunch and winetasting. Everything was great exept for that er got 2 wrong wine bottles in our case. Got two reds instead of our favorite white the Optimist ;(
Excellent food, tasty and balanced. Generous serves. Goos selection of wines that are well matched with the food.
We are from Brisbane and read about Gather in the Weekend Australian Magazine and certainly weren’t disappointed. Our chosen dishes were exactly as was explained, nicely presented with drinks to compliment. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to share really good fare with an amazing view of the vineyards.
I went to Gather after the review in the Weekend Australian and chose a beautiful Spring day to enjoy the gorgeous view. The service, wine and general ambience was very pleasant however I was very disappointed in the food I chose re value for money. The serving size of the entree King Fish was light on and my pasta dish also an entree was heavy and bland in flavour. My partner had the steak which was very tender and flavoursome but expensive.
Visiting from Sydney with friends. Did not disappoint! Exceptional food in a wonderful place!
I loved the setting of the restaurant, with the garden on one side and the hills and vineyard on the other. The day was rainy and cold but it was warm inside next the fire (and with other heating). We had the chef's selection, all of which was good although I thought the kingfish lacked a little flavour. But the food was generally innovative and delicious, and we sampled various wines which were all excellent. The service was friendly and efficient.
What a fantastic place for lunch. The food was exceptional and the wines were delicious. My Fiance and I had a beautiful long lunch and were blown away with the quality of ingredients and flavours. Highly reccomend!
We were very happy with the food, choice of wines (presecco and nebiolo) and the background music.
Thanks for the experience.
Went to Coriole for lunch on Father's day. They have a special Father's day set lunch menu for the day at a reasonable price. Food was brilliant, nicely presented and well cooked. Beautiful garden and wine with some local produce in their farm shop. Definitely coming back again !
Such a bad service. The food is OK. But not good value
Great view, staff have good knowledge of product and food. Serving sizes of food also good.
it was a great lunch marred by a very small hiccup when we arrived we had booked for 5 but a sixth person came along at the last minute. we felt very uncomfortable asking for an additional seat and the greeting staff added to our discomfort indicating we had put them out considerable with the additional person. however this was soon forgotten with the excellent serving staff and great food
Excellent service, fantastic food and a wonderful experience!
Best food experience in 2 weeks of travel. Friendly and helpful service. Beautiful view from our table. Delicious food - the crab was a real winner. Terrific fiano. All up a very satisfying experience ar a reasonable price.
Gorgeous food and wine. Such a beautiful setting and location. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go again.
Unusual in the food sharing approach. Interesting combinations of vegetables and main ingredient. A very pleasant winery setting and separate tasting of wines.
Highly recommended. Nice view, good food and service. Excellent wines.
What a pleasant dining experience here for my birthday. Every meal was delicious, I particularly enjoyed the butternut dish and the accompanying brassicas. Loved the bread and olives. Will be coming back every season to experience all the different dishes and seasonal produce!
Just brilliant Just brilliant Just brilliant Just brilliant Just brilliant
Fantastic food in a beautiful setting. We ordered the '12 hour roasted butternut, fregola, ricotta salata, bay oil', 'King fish crudo, lemon cream, kohlrabi, potato crisp' with bread to start and potatoes on the side. All excellent, especially the potatoes and the butternut.
Our group decided on the Chef’s selection without the wine pairing. Food flavours won us over. There was plenty of food and it was served in a timely way. We enjoyed the natural herbs, spices and garnishes. We felt quite relaxed and being a cold day appreciated the lovely fire.
Celebrated at Coriole for a family birthday. The chef's selection was an enjoyable way to dine together. Vegetarian option was provided for one member of the party. Perhaps could have a few additional vego choices, but all others very satisfied by the excellent courses provided. many very tasty and interesting dishes. Rainy cold winter's day, but very comfortable and cosy in the dining area with a wood fire but retaining wide window views into the beautiful Southern vales and rear garden area of Coriole. Would definitely recommend for a special meal. Waiting staff friendly and attentive and helpful.
A wonderful venue for an impromptu drive to McLaren Vale and lunch - the service was exceptional, the food delicious and the view superb. A lovely birthday lunch and a venue which we look forward to returning.
Not flexible at all with the set menu. As there were 8 of us we were forced to have the $70 set menu even though one of our guests were coeliac and had to be altered. We didn’t want the whole menu and as it turned out it was below our expectations compared to other restaurants. The steak was chewy and the duck wasn’t available therefore we had to have chicken which is a completely different flavour and did not go well with the dish. Overall very disappointed and will not return or recommend this restaurant.
We shared a table on the Saturday of the recent long weekend in June.
After olives and crusty bread and as there were four of us, we ordered one of each of the main courses and a serving of brasicas to share. The food was stunning and all of us rated all dishes and the accompanying GSM wine outstanding. We followed these with equally scrumptious desserts and coffee.
We had a delightful French waiter who attended to our every need.
We left feeling wonderful and will certainly repeat the visit. Thankyou Coriole!
I love Gather but was disappointed with the very noisy and rude (swearing) table next to ours. It was my 60th so it would have been good to have staff ask them to quieten down as they swore at us! The set menu of roast was not as good as when you have the other choices for groups which is what I originally expected until I received a phone call the week before. When I talked beforehand they said I could bring a cake to make it more festive for my birthday but as they brought in my cake they informed me that there would be a $5 per person cakeage charge. This sort of ruined it for me and my guests as we were happy to have both the set final course and the cake. I was not going to pay the extra!!! We literally finished just before 5pm so had little time to go and purchase wine too. Considering people had come from miles away there were a few disappointments.
Great food- not sure why the wine was $20 more expensive than it we bought it at the cellar door. Detracted from the experience, having to spend that extra monies.
Wonderful food and views a made for a fantastic afternoon at Coriole. Our international visitors loved the entire day, made even more special by the friendly service from our waiter.
Our Sunday lunch was absolutely fabulous. The food was delicious, views amazing and we will definitely be back!
Overall we enjoyed our lunch in the atrium setting, whilst admiring the majestic gardens and beautiful rain soaking the ground. Our only disappointment was some of the food lacked the high calibre normally shown here - the pork belly meat was tender but the accompanying salad of just lettuce - was served with a (sweet) mayonnaise.
