Absolutely loved the food. Was a random find on opentable but so glad I went here. Service was excellent, ambience really pleasant, music was playing at just right sound levels so you could have a chat without having to scream. Food is the best part of the experience though. Will definitely go back!

I enjoyed my first visit at GammaGamma! The food was delicious and the service attentive. They offer a menu with several small dishes (i.e., tapas style) and larger dishes. A nice touch of spice makes the products even tastier! Cocktails were also nicely prepared. I think there is still space for a bit of improvement (e..g., music was a bit too loud), but definitely on the right track! I would recommend!

The food was too fussy and heavy, felt sickhours afterwards. Service was poor, next table was complaining to each other next to us. Try to put to many tables in the restaurant i dont even believe its legal as the main fire exit corridor is not even wide enough. The bill was shockingly expensive will not go back nor recommend to anyone very disappointing.

Dear Eddie, We are sorry not to have met your expectations. We appreciate your honest feedback and will address your concerns; we are mindful you visited us on a weekend, when Soho on the whole tends to get busier than usual. Thank you for visiting Gamma Gamma. Sincerely, Gamma Gamma team

Restaurant was very quiet on Valentine's day, so that was nice since the tables are setup very close to each other. We were sold on the a la carte menu but on Valentines day they only had 1 set menu option which personally was poor - only 3 good things on there out of 9. And annoyingly they weren't able to accommodate my wife who does not eat beef and the main meal was beef in the non-veg menu. Although she was able to eat most the menu she was still told if you don't want beef you have to switch to Veg option - they didn't even contemplate offering us a veg to replace that one dish - not something you expect these days from a decent restaurant. Overall I was disappointed but do want to try their a la carte before striking it off completely.

We had a disaster of a meal at Gamma Gamma. The dishes were running at least 20 minutes late and then a crab dumpling was mentioned as vegetarian and eaten by someone who was allergic and was unfortunately sick in the toilets. The manager did his best and we didn't have to pay but really left a bad taste.

Oh My God - what an absolute treasure this restaurant is. We had the 9-course sharing menu and each dish is a revelation ! Wonderfully prepared, presented, with amazing flavours, phantastic service and really good value as well. Each dish was beautifully selected as part of the overall menu, tasted heavenly and was beautifully presented as well. Words do not cover how pleased we were with the food and service here !! Definitely, 1000% recommend ! The Kangaroo dish in particular took our breath away, never have tested meat like that ! Can't wait to introduce my friends to this place.

Interesting menu. Felt some of the flavours were a tad overpowering. Enjoyed the meal but felt £5.50 for a pot of tea with a tea bag was a bit steep.

Very good food... exciting and unusual combinations of flavor that were delicious!! The service felt a bit hurried with not enough waiting time between items. Value is pretty good now given soft launch 30% discount but longer term does not feel like as great valid since its tapas and you need to order quite a few to be full.

The menu is very creative and the flavour combo is excellent. Good for adventurous foodies who want to try exotic meat as well. We sat on a bar table which was a very different dining experience as we were not having drinks but were having a proper meal. It was a positive experience and the dessert was the highlight - the umami flavour of the miso ice cream and miso caramel sauce was very innovative. The fondant was japanese-inspired. However, the white chocolate slightly overpowered the black sesame and matcha ganache, and it would be much better if the cake was made with goma and the ganache only consisted of matcha.

We had a very nice experience at this new restaurant this evening and are surprised about some of the bad reviews here.
We had a lovely waitress who was friendly and helpful throughout the evening and enjoyed delicious, very special food.
We would definitely recommend Gamma Gamma to others and come back ourselves.

This is a Tapas style restaurant, but with Asian dishes. For this reason I found it quite pricey as you pay a main course price for a small plate. My friend and I had two dishes each and were satisfied, however, we could probably still have had one more dish each, or even shared. The service was great - we had a lovely smiley waitress. The food, on the whole, was delicious and fairly healthy, I thought. My favourite was the slow roasted lamb bao. Definitely recommend.

This is the worst experience I have had in a place booked through OpenTable. I am not a picky customer and rarely give bad reviews, but this restaurant’s display of poor service and lack of preparation needs to be told.

Firstly, upon arrival we were given seats at the bar, which was not the type of seating I had reserved. After 15 minutes without haven’t been offered anything we ordered drinks from the bartender and expressed interest in ordering food. The bartender told a colleague that we were ready to ask for food but she avoided eye contact with us and left. Thirty minutes into our booking we still did not have any drinks and I had to waive intensely to catch the waitress attention, who finally got up the nerve to say they were not taking food orders anymore (at 8.30 pm).

What restaurant intending to do serious business allows customers to make a dinner booking through OpenTable and later decide they won’t take food orders? Way to do a soft opening.

Disaster!

We had a great (and unexpected) experience. The dishes are Asian-fusion small plates and this way one can try a lot of new combinations. The food was to die for, in particular the Wagyu beef bites. Also tried for the first time ever marinated zebra carpaccio it turned out to be delicious like everything we had. The staff and our server O. was particularly attentive and giving us advice, since the descriptions are quite exotic!
Other than this, we continued to re-order and went beyond what could be considered a reasonable size meal, just because it was so good tasting. The wine was also nicely selected, but no big fuss here. The noise level was too high for a normal conversation and the seating a bit squeezed, still we felt cared. Totally recommend for foodies and experimentalists!

Really nice and well made dish. Service was a bit slow as our table was ignored regularly for being in the corner. Overall not a bad experience, and we spent £45 pp during the soft launch week - I would suggest the price during that week should be kept as I wouldn’t pay >£60 pp for what I had.

I went during the opening week and it was very quiet but I imagine it won't stay that way. Fantastic fusion food, some flavour combinations I had never tried before. Only annoying thing was that the tables were very small for a sharing-type menu. Continuously playing jenga trying to fit the food and drinks onto the small table.

Had a wonderful and unique experience at Gamma Gamma. The food was really nice - enjoyed the lamb chops and my wife was really impressed by zebra tataki. Also I tried the Smokey Eyes cocktail - impressive (it actually comes with smoke)!
We had our wedding anniversary last week and decided to try something different. Did not regret.
Thank you Gamma Gamma for the fabulous atmosphere, good service and nice music.

Lovely pan asian flavours with a twist and some exotic meat. We tried 6 dishes between the two of us and and each had its unique zing. Loved the zebra and the the crispy squid. Portions are on the smaller side but at the same time each dish was so tasty i still think its was worthwhile. good ambience on a friday night with a bit of house music, had a great time would recommend.
