We visited here when it was in Tier 2. I expect it would have had more atmosphere without the Covid burden.

Overall very good service. I ordered chick pea & chorizo starter & chicken main skewer dish. All arrived well presented and hot. Very Tasty indeed. Would definitely be going back, after lockdown!

Had a wonderful evening and 3 course meal here. The cervice starter in particular was exceptional!

The food is outstanding and the whole experience very personalised.

Not as good as our last visit. We made everyone aware from the outset that we were time constrained. It was not that busy. It took forever to get a couple of steaks out following our appetizer, so we ate them under duress and against the clock. Appetizers (perfect goat cheese and spinach empanadas) were presented in a lacklustre manner with some haphazard salad greens strewn on the plate, half of them wilted from the heat of the empanada - visually unappealing and disappointing.

The steaks were great, the fries were superb and the chimichurri delicious.But we arrived at 6:20pm, had ordered by 6:30pm, finished our appetizers at 6:45pm but then had to wait until 7:00pm to get our steaks and then, only after we had agitated for their arrival.
We had to make a train at Wadhurst station at 7:29pm - c. 7 minutes away - so we had 15 minutes to bolt down a steak and pay so we had to forego any chance of having a dessert. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the milieu and ambience are great. The place was nowhere near full so, really - how long does it take to grill a steak medium rare?! All the same, we would not let that hiccup deter us from visiting again.

It was wonderful to break out of Lockdown 2.0 and enjoy some very yummy steak, empanadas and cerviche. The team have obviously worked so hard to welcome people back; the fire was roaring, only just a bit warmer than the welcome !

This is our new favourite restaurant. A different kind of food which was absolutely delicious. We had three courses which were all lovely. Kids menu is also fantastic- our 5 year old loved it too.

To be honest we were disappointed. Although we have eaten at this restaurant once before and had a nice meal, on this occasion it wasn’t good. My chicken kebab was very much overdone and the Dothan while potatoes was no more than a small puddle on the plate. I didn’t complain but when the waitress asked us afterwards if everything had been okay I did point out that the chicken was overdone and was not good. At this point the owner of the restaurant came over and became very defensive which I didn’t appreciate. She told me that she was not now in a position to do anything about it as she had not been able to see the food for herself. Again I felt she clearly wanted proof and was not prepared to take my word for it. I did point out that I wasn’t asking her or any of her staff to do anything about it I was merely giving her feedback in order that they could notify the chef.

A lovely restaurant (Ex-pub) specialising in South American food, the quality and preparation of the food was excellent and the service and staff similarly. Would definitely go again to try out different dishes on the menu. There was a very good selection of gluten free meals too.

This is our 4th time visited in September. First time just us 2 adults, 2nd, 3rd & 4th the kids joined us.

The food was gorgeous, we had the ecuadorian dish of stewed lamb , slow cooked white fish, steak, pasta dishes and pizzas.

Deserts - the chocolate cake just melts in your mouth. Churros Con Azucar - reminded us of our holidays eating these.

We were visiting Sussex from Devon to tour gardens and wanted to find a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The reviews were very good and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, great depth of flavour and presented well. We both had the Slow cooked white fish with coconut, fresh tomatoes, bell pepper and coriander, served with rice and fried plantains typical from the Northern coast of Ecuador. It was lovely to have depth of flavour rather than loaded with chillies. The quantity was just right to feed us but not so much that one feels overfull.

I had the Churros con Azucar for dessert which took me right back to childhood holidays in Andalucia.

The service was friendly and informal but very crisp. The chef Andres came out at the end of the meal to introduce himself and to check that we enjoyed our meal, which was a really lovely touch.

Lovely place, great paella, great service and sooo friendly

I was disappointed that, unlike other establishments I have eaten in recently, the staff were not wearing any protective face coverings.

We had a very good reasonably priced meal. The steaks were very tender and tasty. The chef really cared that the food was cooked to our liking and he was much in evidence chatting to diners during the evening. We liked that the menu was different and we enjoyed trying the South American cuisine.

Friendly and efficient staff. Good to see the chef out of the kitchen engaging with clients.
Lots to choose from on the menu. Will definitely return.
