Full Moon Hotel
The Moon delivers an authentic coastal vibe and plenty of space to chill and enjoy the live music, stellar 180 degree views of Bramble Bay and alfresco ambience.
With a menu awash with quality, locally caught seafood and produce thanks to Head Chef Richard Sellers, and a choice of relaxed bar areas, find your favourite spot to sip your cool jam jar cocktail or a crafty ale.
The Moon is a hive of activity all week long, offering eclectic weekly pub entertainment ranging from brain-busting trivia nights to lazy Sunday acoustic chill sessions and everything in between. And with it’s handy bottle shop, well-appointed function facilities, and the best water views in Brisbane, the Full Moon Hotel is a destination bar and restaurant experience you didn’t even realise you were missing out on.
Food was excellent, customer service was great and the entertainment was fabulous. A wonderful evening!
The dinning table and chairs were old. The person who took my order was rude not just to me but staff also. The food was basic my partners main was Luke warm. The noise from the tv’s around the room and in the next section drowned out any conversation you could have. I know it’s a motel but sports on tv on a Saturday night what happened to music. We went there for a special occasion, will not be back.
Always great food & atmosphere. Ran out of vegan cheese for pizzas but all great except for that.
Great venue, however our food was delivered to the table in dribs and drabs. There was a 20 wait from the first meal till the last.
We always enjoy coming. Friendly and fast service, quality food, and games for the kids.
Very impressed with staff on arrival, good customer service, bar staff also very friendly and offered prompt service. Menu was great with many great selection, we all thoroughly enjoyed or meals and evening, thank you.
Great food great staff great experience highly recommend . Choice of eating areas, kids welcome. We are regular visitors
I don't make recommendations to family and friends, so I always answer the recommendation question "no". The Full Moon Hotel is a pleasant venue but would benefit from more bar staff and food order staff on a Saturday night. The food is great and pretty good value for the quality but the wine list is overpriced.
My guests all loved their meals. Service was great and very prompt. We all enjoyed our day.
Yes, of course, we have never had a bad meal with you guys and Ted on the till is great. He's definitely a one off.
We were disappointed to be served by the older gentleman taking the orders on Monday lunch time in the restaurant firstly was derogitive she y husband made the booking in person and then again to my husband and brother when they placed the meal orders other than him everything was good, he shouldn’t be in that role if he can’t be polite and courteous to paying customers
Great place to eat, come here often! Highly recommended for lunch.
enjoyable lunch enjoyed by all, but whether it was because there was a full house a lot of clients, our meals were like warm, but otherwise tasted good. Thanks.
We enjoyed the night but it was so cold. There was a draft coming through the open door & even though we had coats it was freezing.
One meal came out with mash potatoes & veg instead of salad & chips but we didn’t say anything, so in fairness to the hotel I’m sure they would have changed it if we did.
We were a table of 12 placed on the deck at night with no lighting. Had to use mobile phone torches to read the menu. Lights had blown the day before and not fixed nor a temporary solution put in place. After several complaints candles were put on the tables (why not proactively I will never know). This should have been sorted out before the dinner crowd. A few battery powered lanterns would have quickly and cheaply solved the problem, but they didn't bother.
We were impressed with the staff, the quality of the food and the value for Money of the food.
I would highly recommend this to others
My only disappointment on our visit to the Blue Moon Hotel on Thursday 3rd @ 6pm under Tracey , was the poor service received by the dark haired waitress who took us to our reserved Table. 4 people had cancelled that afternoon, our table was placed in the doorway where a strong breeze was blowing in. When we asked if we could move our table a little, the answer was 'no and we can't shut the door as we need it open to serve others outside' we asked if the table could be made smaller as of our cancelled guests. The answer was also 'no', which was very strange and really no flexibility was offerd to try to make our dinner table arrangements enjoyable. We did move near the toilets which was not ideal as it was noisier. I did notice the door to the side area was actually closed later. There was more that could have been done, smaller reserved tables could have been moved, ours could have been made smaller and another table created for others. Hopefully this might help for training purposes. Thanks again, the food (barramundi) was delicious. 😊
Food and service always outsatnding, we always enjoy coming here.
Great afternoon out great staff
Food was fantastic.
The table was in a good spot outside which we like. The line up for ordering food was quite long. but overall the service was good. Drink prices were a bit exy . Very crowded for a Friday , obviously very popular for locals and the like. We enjoyed it though.
The food was good, generous portions, nice breezy location overlooking the sea, the whole place generally well-presented. I am marking it down somewhat because our main course arrived while we were still eating the starter, and this practice can sometimes create a sense of pressure, can give the impression that there is some urgency for diners to finish their meal, perhaps because the kitchen is closing or the table is required for another diner/s.
Steak special on Tuesday night is good value and the steak's were excellent. Our table also had the Wagyu burger which was very good and a child had the fish and chips which was fine but a bit light on the fish (probably fine for a 5 year old but not enough for a 10 year old). Service was friendly and prompt even though busy.
Lovely way to spend my daughters 18th birthday for lunch, however, she went to the bar for the first time legally and was not asked for her ID, so had to send her into the pokies to be asked for ID and that is a right of passage at 18. It cost me a reasonable amount for her to be asked for ID. Also the cocktails ordered for the price were not very nice and too much cheap coconut milk and soft drinks in them. They tasted more like a mocktail.
Great atmosphere and good range of pub food. Service was very prompt and staff friendly
Went back on Sunday to collect a scarf Id left there a few weeks previously. Staff happy and helpful and made us welcome. Our “fish and chips” was well cooked and tasty. A pleasant drive from Brisbane, and we will certainly take a return drive
Enjoyable evening, excellent dinner, "wheelie friendly".
My family has a standing arrangement whereby we meet at the Full Moon for dinner every Friday night. Besides being situated in a picturesque location, there is a variety of food options including options for people that are gluten intolerant and allergic to sea food. The Manager is excellent at his job and the staff are equally good, nothing is too much trouble.
We love the Full Moon Hotel, especially on days when there is live music. Great food, great atmosphere.
It was a busy Sunday and all our meals came at the same time. The man who was at the reservations, was very friendly and very helpful.
WE SAT OUT THE FRONT OVERLOOKING THE ROAD AND WATER. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL QUEENSLAND WINTERS DAY SO THE DAY STARTED OFF AS GOOD AS IT CAN. EASY PARKING AND WALKED STRAIGHT IN. NO WAITING AND SHOWN STRAIGHT TO OUR TABLE THAT I HAD BOOKED ON LINE, WE ASKED TO BE MOVED FROM INSIDE TO OUTSIDE WHICH WAS NO TROUBLE . BOUGHT DRINKS AND ORDERED ENTREES TO SHARE WHICH CAME QUICKLY AND WERE WELL COOKED AND PRESENTED NICELY. OUR TABLE WAS CLEARED QUICKLY AND MAINS ARRIVED AT A GOOD SPACE BETWEEN ENTREE AND MAIN. WE ALL ENJOYED OUR MEALS AND COFFEE TO FOLLOW.
Visited Full Moon before heading to our show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Service was friendly, drinks service great and our meals arrived in plenty of time for our departure to Boondall. We arrived a few minutes after our booking time but not an issue. Would love to revisit on a sunny day to enjoy the view and linger longer 🥂🍻😋
Unfortunately the food was a let down. The lamb I ordered was tasteless and the rumbling my partner brought was dry. The kids burger was good though.
I always enjoy a trip to Full Moon and as it was my birthday, my husband booked a table with a very nice view. Really enjoyed the meal and the service was good
The staff were very accommodating, they gave us a table in the sun and when we asked if we could move they were more than willing to help. The meal came quickly and we all enjoyed it very much.
My table request was honoured & was in a great location. Food was yummy. Starters & mains came a little too close together but it is pub service so understandable. Bar staff were lovely.
Ted you rock :-)
Food amazing as always, we love our afternoons there
The Full Moon dining experience was really delightful. Thanks. The ease of booking a table through open table was very good. Table in an ideal place.
Great service and attention from the Manager down - even got a bonus starter presented out of the blue
Food was tasty & fresh. Salads were fresh and abundant. Steaks were ok but over priced. Burger was huge & good value.
Many of the meals served at our table of 10 could have fed 2 people each. Next time we’ll order 1 meal + salad.
Relaxed ambiance with a little view of the ocean across the road through the gum trees. It was a pleasant birthday lunch venue.
