Fugazzi Bar & Dining Room
An overnight institution where velvet, leather and marble create a decadent and luxurious atmosphere designed to invoke a sense of nostalgia. There it is, a romantic representation of the past, that simultaneously manages to remain firmly rooted in the contemporary.
Is its bold character a physical manifestation of the Italians’ age-old gift of making art out of life, or is it just Fugazzi?

Our first experience at was wonderful. Great food, ambience and the lovely Emma was outstanding. We felt the tables for two were a little too close though.
Great services, delicious food, polished environment
Unfortunately my experience was below average, the restaurant decor was very stylish however the table for two was rather small. On to the food, we ordered several pasta dishes Osso Bucco with gnocchi, the portion was small and hardly any osso bucco was present, how disappointing, we also ordered blue swimmer crab pasta again very disappointed very mean with crab in fact it was difficult to see the crab, if I was to recommend great pasta restaurant at good prices it would be Ruby Red Flamingo.
I have been to Nido which prompted me to visit Fugazzi but no comparison over priced small portions.
Striking dining room. Despite lots of floor staff, service was average and distracted. Food is good but not great. Expected a lot more given the pedigree and Nido.
Enjoyed it, staff were attentive without being intrusive. Had the tasting menu to try a variety of dishes. Definitely a quirky and different menu and most of food tasted good. It was definitely a push to get done in two hours and food was coming out constantly without a breather. That was my only disappointment as it then negates the definition of fine dining! Maybe send out two dishes at a time instead of feeling you had to hurry up so they could clear and bring the next dish when having the tasting menu.
Excellent food and service. We had a 5 course tasting menu - we were served a variety of seafood, meat and pasta, with sides which was then followed by dessert - all had outstanding flavours. We will be back.
Perfect venue to celebrate a special occasion.
My meal was delicious (the carbonara), hubby's meal was nice (gnocchi) but portions are VERY small. Staff were friendly, but twice misunderstood our order, which ended up costing us more. It's quite pricey. Really don't mind paying more, but shouldn't have to order extra meals so as to not leave hungry.
Really disappointed as I wanted to love this place.
A lovely Friday night dinner at Fugazzi Bar and Dining Room. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service and attention to detail was wonderful. The food was delicious and we were able to try unique dishes and food that was familiar with a small tweak to present the familiar in a different way, like a lasagne pizza and the affogato. This restaurant is always busy so you need to book in advance but it’s well worth it for the atmosphere the service and the food and drinks.
Great service, delicious food and a really cool atmosphere - will definitely be back!
Great Place, Music was slightly too loud and didnt like being turfed out after 2 hours but I understand why $$, Not enough vegetarian offerings
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Fugazzi. Great food and service.
Excellent flavours in every dish and superb service!
We were keen to try this new place after a glowing review in The Weekend Australian, so it might have been a case of having too high expectations- we were just a little disappointed in a few plates. The design is beautiful and stylish, it was crowded and busy, but not too noisy and the service was just top notch. We ordered the lunch time 3 course set menu and we were really happy with the first courses, especially the “Roman Vegemite”, Potato Cake and Kingfish Crudo but not so excited by the second which was 2 plates of the same pasta and a gnocchi. I would liked another pasta instead of two of the same. We also added dessert as an extra, and I would liked to have seen a few more choices. The cocktail and wine list was extensive and we were happy with the price and choice. Finally, I also prefer to be asked if I want sparkling water rather than just see it on the bill. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and I would be happy to revisit and recommend.
Had the 5 course tasting plates which were plentiful and absolutely delicious. Service was great also. Would highly recommend.
Very squeezy! Three people at a small two person table with not enough space for the food.
We enjoyed the 5 course feed me, overwhelming amount of food which could be scaled back (I’m a big guy with a healthy appetite and struggled!)
Love this place - Laura Sharad has done it again!!! Outstanding food. Cocktails made with love and service en point!
The best - will be back!!
Beautiful restaurant in heart of Adelaide. Ambience is lovely. The whipped Ricotta dish was to die for.
Pasta lovely, probably a little overpriced. Staff were all just lovely.
Great 😊 friendly service from the moment we walked in the door. Our cocktails 🍹 took a little longer than expected, but the table waitress attended to the anomaly. The food was delivered promptly. The wine list is expansive & has a sprinkling of my favourite Jura wines, which is delivered in superb glassware. We had a lovely lunch & will return soon. If I had an issue, it would be that the tables are a bit close together.
Very helpful and friendly staff, great food, beautiful fitout.
Had a really great time for my birthday, amazing food, great value for money, had the 3 course set menu and was very overwhelmed!!! Plenty of different flavours, left very satisfied.
Beautiful setting but staff should give the customer an insight on the menu. Had trouble ordering a dish at 10pm.
over-priced, pretentious. the wine was a redeeming feature. the service was so far up it's own butt it couldn't see us sitting there. There was no genuine engagement with the customers. Steak was chewy and average. Good flavour profile, but lacking in true substance. For the price we should have been food-gasming all over the place, but we weren't
Literally everything about our experience at Fugazzi was amazing!! Cannot wait to go back.
Excellent small and larger dishes and attentive service.
Was a great night
Fire roasted cabbage amazing
Great vibe, decor & background music, staff really attentive & the tasting menu was a delightful range of dishes which we were full before we could finish it all. Will be back!
We enjoyed our meal and it was good seeing the former Rigoni’s restaurant abuzz again.
Almost everything we ate and drank was amazing, but hated the fried “gnocchi “. It was nothing like it was described and was way too sweet. It actually spoiled the rest of our meal because of the extreme sweetness. The standout dish for us was the charred cabbage, delicious! Service impeccable
Fantastic as usual, everything was amazing
Will definitely be back soon
Great spot! Lovely Atmosphere and a fantastic variety of food!
Likely to become a new favourite... huge wine list... very interesting menu... see you again soon!
We were welcomed with a warm greeting by Laura (who wished my wife a happy birthday). Enjoyed the five course tasting plate and was assisted with choosing a very nice Pinot Noir. We will be returning.
Delicious & plentiful food. We choose the 5 course feed me menu & we weren’t disappointed. A slight hiccup with the service at the start of lunch but was remedied quickly. Enjoyable lunch & will be back.
Food was outstanding, on the night we went service was lacking, waiting for drink orders and water constantly. Surprisingly we had to pay for table water, I’ve never experienced that before.
Fabulous food with good service and atmosphere. Just be prepared to spend big on the wine list!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and fabulous service. This restaurant is the perfect place for a long lunch or dinner. The well thought out menu is perfect for sharing and there is an extensive wine list. Well done Chef, Max Sharrad.
It was okay. I think I expected too much .
The snack menu or tapas was very good , the ricotta gnocchi were very heavy I actually think they were raw.
Lots of staff but little service
My boyfriend and I had the most amazing night! The food, atmosphere and service was excellent! Chad our waiter was outstanding, bubbly and knowledgeable which was all delivered with a radiant attitude and glowing smile! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to all my friends and family!
Great food and service, we had the mortadella sandwich, lamb backstrap, gnocci, steak and doughnut.
Only negative is that the seats for 2 are very close to other diners - you can hear what they are talking about.
