Wait staff very motivated. Cooperate with each other flawlessly.
I have eaten at all three From the Boots in my area and by far this one had the worst food. It was completely tasteless. They used to serve a small salad with dinner for $3.00 extra and they should bring that back as well.
We were seated in the step up alcove area in the front of the restaurant. Tables were on top of one another with about 1 ft between tables. It was a little too close for comfort in my opinion. Restaurant was crowded.
Great food and top notch service from all staff members! Highly recommend!
Have always had a good meal every time we eat here, the service could have been more attentive, not bad, just could have been better. Food was excellent, nice portions, and fair prices. Still one of our favorite local restaurants.
Overall another great experience at From The Boot! I gave ambiance a slightly lower rating for the following reason:
Ambiance: I get it, this is a strange time of COVID and distancing, etc. But the place seemed overly sparse, lighting a bit bright, and seated up near the front windows not much different than sitting in an IHOP. Just seemed a bit "cold" vs my previous visits.
But the great food and service more than made up for this one ding on an overall great time at The Boot!
From the Boot is always spectacular. Not a bad thing on that menu. The filet mignon is outrageously good. Service is always top-notch.
New Years Eve dinner with friends
Great meal! This place never disappoints.
Ate a great meal before a show at the Act II Playhouse. Perfect choice.
Our server Anna was excellent! :)
…even though we had a reservation… we waited 10 minutes to get seated and it was only because I basically picked out the table and told the Hostess we were sitting down. She was flustered and couldn’t figure out where to seat us.
We placed our food order with our drink order. Drinks arrived and waited for salad. Salad Never arrived.
We had veal parmigiana, chicken piccata, vodka penne, bolgonesse penne and cheese steak.
The penna sauce was like water….. guessing they put the penne that wasn’t drained in the sauce. Was horrible.
No offer to bring dessert menu or any other beverage.
I’m done with the Ambler Boot. Only decent one is Layayette Hill.
Food was good, but the service was absolutely the worst we've had in a long time. The young server, Shae, clearly did not want to be at work. She never checked on us. We had to get up and flag her down THREE times to get her attention to order drinks. She never refilled our waters, and we were there almost 3 hours. Food service was also extremely slow, but the lack of service from Shae was the absolute killer of the evening. She is definitely ruining the dining experience for anyone who has the misfortune to get her as a server at From the Boot.
The quality of the food has declined a bit since the last time we came, which was about 6 months ago. The chicken piccata and chicken francese used the be the best things on the menu, were not good last night.. bland and overcooked. The Sunday gravy and short rib was still delicious. The side of sausage in tomato gravy was totally different, watery and not as good as it used to be. The Tiramisu was mostly cream and barely any cake, I would not consider that a tiramisu.
Great little spot. Delicious food. Excellent service.
Liz was an amazing server. The food is always delicious
The food and service were excellent at From the Boot. Our only complaint is that it is always deafening. This is my third time there and it has always been the same. We have a hard time hearing each other which takes away from experience.
Way too Noisy.
Food is expensive, bland, and mush (as if prepared from frozen/“food industrial complex” ingredients).
Limited wine selection.
The ambulance was great, there was a live musician who was playing 70s soft rock at a very appropriate sound level. I was seated in the booth closest to him and it was the right level for dinner music. Service was excellent as well. Our food was fantastic and arrived very quickly and piping hot. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly which is very difficult to do. My only question about the whole evening was why some servers were wearing masks and others were not? I’d love to understand what the policy is at the restaurant for future reference.
Food was great, service was great. One of our favorite Ambler restaurants.
As usual, a very nice dinner at From The Boot. The only negative I can comment on is the table we were seated at. We have always been seated at a rectangular or square table but this time it was a small round table. I felt like we didn’t have enough room. In the future, I will request not to be seated at a round table.
It was our second time and delicious with great service both times. We’ll be back!
Great food and service! From the Boot never disappoints.
Great menu, incredible wait staff, service was incredibly fast, I was totally impressed with them, will be back frequently.
We love From the Boot. It’s a staple for date night and gatherings with friends. The food, service, and atmosphere are always great.
For was delicious and waitstaff A+
Food and service never disappoints, top notch on service (thanks Gianna!) and the food quality and quantity was tremendous. Don't know why not everyone in the Ambler area is not rushing to book a table!
Great meal. Great service.
This is becoming my favorite place
Always a good meal!
Great food and atmosphere. A bit on the louder side…
We are never disappointed by our dinner there. Bob is very involved in making sure he walks around the restaurant greeting customers and helping his staff. Great food always!
Always a great meal there. Our server Lauren was just great too!
Stuffed mushrooms, caesar salad and shrimp scampi were delicious!!!!
Their signature garlic ! Knots came out hard n the veal parmesan was tough n thick. Just basic Italian dishes n I had raviolis that were mushy. I don't like to give not so good reviews but the needs to step it up.
You can't fix what you don't know
Service was OK, food was OK. Pasta wasn't cooked consistently. Shrimp scampi had no garlic and tasted watered down. The bruschetta had very large chunks on tomatoes, however, had very good taste. Average at best. Sauces were nothing special.
From the hostess greeting us as we arrived to the waitress and serving staff delivering our food in a timely manner, everything was perfect.
We were disappointed that you had no Port and it was on the menu.
We were there a few months ago and you didn’t have any Sambucca. Italian restaurant needs after dinner drinks.
Everything else was good. Food and service were excellent!
Great evening with my friend! They happily switched out chicken for veal for and it was delicious!
Birthday food was outstanding
This is one of our favorite casual restaurants. It’s always good and our service last night was excellent. Prices are good and so is the food. We will be going back again.
