This is a “must-do” when visiting Hobart. Food and wine is top shelf!

We go there every year for our wedding anniversary and usually receive impeccable service, the place has become too overcrowded and service has dropped. Attitude of staff serving was pretty bad too. Disappointed as previously I haven’t been able to fault it. Had to ask to order a drink after waiting 15 mins from being seated and then get attitude from the waitress. Pretty bad for such a high end expensive place. Also used to be complimentary bread and pre-lunch food... no more :(

Beautiful food, and it came out very quickly too. Service was good as well. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was that when we arrived we were seated in a table in the corner, all the other tables were empty. I asked if we could swap to the table next to us in front of the window so we could enjoy the lovely view, but we were told no because the restaurant was fully booked. That seemed reasonable, except the table we asked if we could swap to was empty the entire time we we there!

Food is genuinely amazing and well worth the price. Really special. Restaurant is lovely and wait staff are attentive and on the ball even on a busy day. My only gripe is the wine list. $16 for a glass of NV bubbles from their own cellar door really drives up the overall price quickly if you want to have a couple drinks with lunch. It’s good Tassie wine but not Champagne. Next time we’ll stick to 1 drink!

Trent was an excellent waiter. The right balance between attention and interference. Food was outstanding, particularly the wallaby, best I’ve ever had.
And the wine suggestions were exactly right. Only suggestion would be that seats were a bit low relative to the table. Overall, outstanding. Well done !

Even though the meal sizes were entree size, they were quite satisfying. The meal presentation was outstanding. The whole overall dining experience was exceptional.

Fantastic lunch at Frogmore. Best food of our vacation. Beautifully presented and light seasonal menu which was not overwhelming. They also surprisingly made a small selection of kids meals. Perfect in every way thanks Frogmore

Without doubt the best lunch in Hobart to have. A wide selection of Tasmania produce with friendly service and no time restrictions to enjoy your meal & surroundings... Do yourself a big favour and eat & drink at Frogmore Wineries.

Wonderful atmosphere to celebrate with family and friends. Food amazing. Suggest working backwards. Choose your desert first... and highly recommend that everyone at the table get a different one so that you can try them all. Same with mains. Great food experience with great wine selection too.

Smallish portions but exquisitely cooked and presented. The desserts are extraordinary. Prices might seem a little high at first glance but what you get served up on the table is great value. Great cheffing.

The restaurant has great views & a nice ambience.
Oysters and pork belly main were fine, nothing exceptional.
The trevalla was served overcooked and cold. Smoked yoghurt side dish lacked flavour and substance.

WOW! What an experience. Great inovative food, great wine, great view, lovely staff and even though the restaurant was mostly full, the tables are far enough apart that there is no noticable noise. The highlight was the Pastry chefs breakfast sweet dish - try it

Had lunch, started off with a wine tasting. Complimentary if dining in otherwise $5 pp only entry level wines are on offer for tasting and not the single block series which is unfortunate as we would have bought more if it was on offer for tasting. We had the SBS Frogmore Shiraz with lunch. Excellent wine only complaint was the price was double that of the cellar door. You’d think their own wines would be priced same or at least a few dollars above the cellar door price and not your over the top restaurant price.

Our group had the Pork belly with Black Tahini and the Braise Beef. The pork belly won hands down the Beef one of the group found it too salty and too dry. But the gnocchi that came with it was amazing.

Hands down the highlight was the desserts we had the Pastry Chef Breakfast, Frogmore Rabbit and the Forest Floor all to die for.

Frogmore Creek is our go to destination when we have visitors to Tas. And as usual didn’t disappoint. Everything was awesome as usual. One thing we are very happy with the regular change of menu, so each time we come it is a new experience.

The food and the setting are excellent, but I feel the service falls short for a restaurant of Frogmore's reputation. We were not offered a choice of still or sparkling water, water refills had to be requested and mention that we were celebrating a birthday went without note or recognition. Of course neither of these things impacts the quality of the food or the atmosphere greatly, but they perhaps are reflective of a somewhat lax attitude to customer service.

Knew nothing about this place before wandering in. Had heard of the wine but didn’t know about the restaurant. Seriously wow! Amazing! We travel a lot and have not been wowed by such artistic food in some time. Loved it. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tasmania.

I've been there twice in the last month and both times we've had a very good experience and I will return. A suggestion is that you explore the options of providing a non alcoholic white wine, this allows people to better join in with others at the table. I am unable to drink alcohol for medical reasons and am able to take non alcoholic wine to many restaurants around Hobart which allows the experience to feel more inclusive. Please note I am not suggesting that you allow people to bring their own non-alcoholic wine, it's just that you might be able to provide an alternative.

Rod Cox

Food was nice but overpriced for what it was. Beautifully presented but lacking in flavour. The pork belly was tasty and well cooked, however the blue eye and tortellini were bland and uninteresting. I expected a whole lot more for a $170+ lunch bill. Luckily the view was fabulous.

Went for a wine tasting, saw the lovely outlook & decided to stay for lunch. Food tasted even better than it looked & it looked fabulous! We loved it so much we returned for lunch a few days later before flying home. We will be back, thank you to all staff for such a memorable dining experience.

We were lucky to have been given the best table right at the window. The service, food and ambience was wonderful. The octopus was slightly tough but the dish overall was different and lovely. The wine was delicious. The price is very expensive for the food...but the look of the dishes was superb. Perhaps a once in a year attendance only due to the price of the dishes...overall, fantastic and will return.

As always Frogmore Creek was a perfect place for a leasurely Sunday afternoon lunch. We often go there for special occasions; particularly when guests from to interstate come to visit us as it showcases the best that Tassie has to offer.
