Had lunch, started off with a wine tasting. Complimentary if dining in otherwise $5 pp only entry level wines are on offer for tasting and not the single block series which is unfortunate as we would have bought more if it was on offer for tasting. We had the SBS Frogmore Shiraz with lunch. Excellent wine only complaint was the price was double that of the cellar door. You’d think their own wines would be priced same or at least a few dollars above the cellar door price and not your over the top restaurant price.

Our group had the Pork belly with Black Tahini and the Braise Beef. The pork belly won hands down the Beef one of the group found it too salty and too dry. But the gnocchi that came with it was amazing.

Hands down the highlight was the desserts we had the Pastry Chef Breakfast, Frogmore Rabbit and the Forest Floor all to die for.

Frogmore Creek is our go to destination when we have visitors to Tas. And as usual didn’t disappoint. Everything was awesome as usual. One thing we are very happy with the regular change of menu, so each time we come it is a new experience.

Knew nothing about this place before wandering in. Had heard of the wine but didn’t know about the restaurant. Seriously wow! Amazing! We travel a lot and have not been wowed by such artistic food in some time. Loved it. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tasmania.

Wonderful experience but very expensive - portion sizes not enough to feed a child (though food exquisite)

I've been there twice in the last month and both times we've had a very good experience and I will return. A suggestion is that you explore the options of providing a non alcoholic white wine, this allows people to better join in with others at the table. I am unable to drink alcohol for medical reasons and am able to take non alcoholic wine to many restaurants around Hobart which allows the experience to feel more inclusive. Please note I am not suggesting that you allow people to bring their own non-alcoholic wine, it's just that you might be able to provide an alternative.

Regards
Rod Cox

Food was nice but overpriced for what it was. Beautifully presented but lacking in flavour. The pork belly was tasty and well cooked, however the blue eye and tortellini were bland and uninteresting. I expected a whole lot more for a $170+ lunch bill. Luckily the view was fabulous.

You don’t leave the experience without feeling immense joy and happiness. The food from the menu looks more like a work of art than a plate of of food. The service is outstanding and the staff are very friendly. My favourite restaurant in Tasmania.

Went for a wine tasting, saw the lovely outlook & decided to stay for lunch. Food tasted even better than it looked & it looked fabulous! We loved it so much we returned for lunch a few days later before flying home. We will be back, thank you to all staff for such a memorable dining experience.

We were lucky to have been given the best table right at the window. The service, food and ambience was wonderful. The octopus was slightly tough but the dish overall was different and lovely. The wine was delicious. The price is very expensive for the food...but the look of the dishes was superb. Perhaps a once in a year attendance only due to the price of the dishes...overall, fantastic and will return.

As always Frogmore Creek was a perfect place for a leasurely Sunday afternoon lunch. We often go there for special occasions; particularly when guests from to interstate come to visit us as it showcases the best that Tassie has to offer.

Love coming here every time we visit from Qld . Food , service and value for money always spot on ! Lovely vineyard . Only thing it can get quite warm with overhead heaters on and dining beside the big glass doors . View spectacular and a plus to look over the vineyard but wear layers in case you get too warm . This by no means is a complaint , just saying to be aware .

Service always great as is the food although the menu hasn’t changed for awhile so had had most of the mains that appeal to me. Dessert always a great adventure! Wish the citrus one was still on the menu. Noise level a bit up, due to a few everyday situations children can create but we didn’t let it worry us too much

I took my partner here for his birthday at lunch. The place is beautiful. We ordered a drink and entrees. I didn’t want to order mains as I wanted to spend a little while here so we weren’t rushed. The waitress very clearly wanted us to order mains so we did. The entree came out within 5 minutes. It was nice.
The mains have then come out less than 2 minutes after that. We didn’t have time to finish our entrees as we weren’t going to let the mains sit there getting cold. The food was lovely. Our plates then didn’t get collected for a really long time. We have then ordered dessert and that’s taken 20 minutes to come out which was a little annoying because we had our paired wines already but wanted to enjoy them with the desserts.
Overall the food was okay but the service wasn’t great. The waitresses seemed flat and annoyed to be there. Almost a ‘couldn’t be bothered’ attitude which was a massive difference to Frogmore Lounge, we go there quite a bit and find it incredible. Would prefer to go the Lounge rather than the winery. Food was nice but considering you’re paying quite a bit, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

Wonderful meal my only suggestion is to remove chorizo from one of the seafood dishes, it limits the choices for those of us who eat seafood but not red meat

The menu options are really limited. Nothing special was created for our wedding anniversary although a staff in the phone mentioned that they will make it special for us? Wine tasting service was poor as we asked to try Rose (Riesling and Red but none also not available due to the bottles were not opened yet?) Wait staff did not ask have we finished with the food before taking the plates away, and no one check how was the taste of the food? Spend quite a bit for the food and drinks but don't think it was valuable other than just some good views.

If your restaurant charges top dollar for it's food then the staff should at least be friendly and warm. The young lady who served us sat us down, gave us our menu's without saying a single word. Throughout the service she was cold, unsmiling and offered very little advice other than recommending the dessert. Having flies on my food while eating is also not the greatest.
