Frederico's Bar & Eatery
From those industrious folk over at The BOX on the Water, Ettalong, meet Frederico ~ the cheeky little brother!
Frederico's is a new bar + eatery opening in Point Frederick, Gosford waterfront, in early August 2019.
Bringing the best cocktails, a South American focused wine list and authentic Latin American inspired food to the NSW Central Coast.
Love Frederico’s food. Always have the Feast as you get a great variety. Service is always great and parking not a problem.
loved the food, ambience, and service. will definitely go there again
Food was way too salty and not very good flavours . Service wasn’t prompt and we always had to wait quit a while to order in cold outside weather with no heaters ! We left regretful that we did not go somewhere else for dinner and have decided we won’t be eating at Frederico’s again
Food was really nice came a little too quickly between courses but generally great will go back
Great food, great service, great location. Highly recommended
Ok not what we were hoping for. New waitress that did not know the menu and new chef that had probably never cooked the Mexican /Spanish/?? That is supposed to be served. The patatas bravas were normal potatoes with some aioli, there were lots of them, with every dish... just not up to scratch....can’t think of a dish I enjoyed not even the vegetarian ones (in which we found a piece of chicken...). New chef is probably a good idea...
Great venue. Food is always lovely, drinks are great and service is fabulous.
We shared the tapas choices but most are for 3 so we had to up the amount to 4 even so we couldn’t eat all the food. So for 3 is good don’t up the serve to match the number of guests.
Great night , loved the food and wine. Need more like this in Gosford area
Lovely food, cocktails & service, as well as atmosphere
Yummy food & drinks. Excellent service. Lots to choose from food wise.
Food and service was great. Only downfall was booking a table for two outside to be given a bench seat as our “table” instead. We ordered a few dishes and was hard to balance it all on the narrow bench seat.
Will be back but will be asking for a proper table next time
Great food, great service, great vibe. Been a few times and will be back!
Amazing food, great service, couldn’t fault it, will be back!
Amazing service by wonderful professional young women.
Staff are really helpful with the menu and so nice and patient with our indecisive group.
We went early (5pm) and it was quiet until around 6:30 which is when the volume picked up. Up stairs was nice with some couch seats.
Tacos are great (both chicken and jackfruit) and I loved the calamari dish.
Also had the steak and the pork belly, and while good, I think this is suited towards people with milder taste. Fancy pub food, more than South American flavoured food.
I definitely plan to go back and try some of there other dishes when I'm up on the coast next time.
Good service, fast, reasonably priced and fantastic food. Also they serve local bay road brewery beer 🍺
Delicious and fresh. One of the best places on the Central Coast.
Food and service was great, but very disappointed that there was a very high surcharge as Sat was not s NSW official public holiday. Also no mention at time of booking.
For Spanish food this was very ordinary. I don't think they seasoned anything so all the food tasted bland. Venue is basically sitting in a carpark. Would not recommend
The ambience is very nice and it’s well located. I gave it 4 stars because they didn’t have an Argentinian wine that I was looking forward to drinking. My paella was too spicy and the churrasco was ok but we don’t put butter on top of it and they forgot to serve the dish with the sourdough bread that was included in the meal.
There was so much Chilli in the food, that our party of 6 could not eat our meals. We told the waitress we didn’t like Chilli when we ordered
Great Cocktails, delicious food.
Service was so bad we didn't even eat staff didn't want us there half the menu was unbelievable
Every time I book the outdoor area, we get sat in the horrible dingy side alley!! (Which is apparently classed as the outdoor area when booking online) Unfortunately the staff have often been unaccomodating to be relocated, despite the lovely front alfresco outdoor area still being empty by the time we have finished our meal nearly 2 hours later.
Do yourself a favour and request not to be sat in the alley.
It’s echoey, no ambiance, no music, pokey, dark and the tables/chairs are rickety.
Fredericos is fantastic, on the condition you don’t get seated here, it completely changes the vibe!!
That said. They have the best margies. Even better ceviche. A great menu, and the rest of the building has an authentic Mexican atmosphere. I would’ve given a 5 star rating if it weren’t for the yucky side-alley tables we keep getting seated at!
Absolutely worth checking out (minus the alley part, did I mention?)
Very tasty & exc portions
Cocktials went down well.
We'll be back!
Best food I had in a long time.
Was asked if i was paying for the whole bill when i was eating alone so that was awkward. Would have been happier to have tipped more but no one even asked me how my meal was but yet asked if i wanted to tip?
A great little restaurant near the waterfront. We had lunch on a sunny day and chose the Feast option to sample a variety of their dishes. The food was all very good, of a high standard, and offered some different south American recipes. The Feast is great value, however make sure you are super hungry as we had to take our paella course home as a takeaway because we just couldn't squeeze it in before the sweet churros! The staff was very helpful and knowledgable. The only downside was we chose to sit outside and it got very hot with the clear vinyl blinds shielding from the traffic noise. Also, if you mention it's your birthday you may get a special treat :)n I would definitely recommend Fredericos.
Adore freddys! Our fave local spot for date night, and this time we brought along the in laws. Even the steak and three veg father in law loved it! A winner all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service and food were fabulous. Couldn't fault it.
Food was delicious and tasty although a bit pricey for some of the items. Delicious cocktails. The waiter that served us was very attentive and all smiles.
We come all the way from Budgewoi. You guys are the bomb diddly yo! We’ve been 4 or 5 times now and everytime is amazing. See you again soon xx
Got the set menu which was so, so good. Great value for money, HEAPS of food and really yummy dishes. Loved it
Great service, tasty food and drinks. Highly recommend trying this place.
The staff were very welcoming and our waitress was extremely helpful with her suggestions.
She suggested not to over-order at the beginning.
The amount for the four of us to share was perfect and we even had room to share two desserts
Enjoyable meal. Nice change to our usual restaurants.
Our first visit will not be our last.
Taco Tuesday was our introduction with 2 for 1 margaritas
Enjoyed the food and the experience, unfortunately some meals of our group came out very late. We were having individual meals rather than share plates. Additional the wrong wine was poured, and not what we ordered and the two of the coffees we ordered were cold
We went to Frederico's for a birthday celebration for Sunday lunch. We ordered the Feast Menu, there were six courses, and every dish was excellent, the paella, the prawns with chilli tomato and tequila and the charred sirloin steak, all fabulous, finishing with Churros dulce de leche. Service was professional and we all will definitely be going back.
i did think some of the dishes were a little small. However, great to have this restaurant on the coast. Do book in advance. Friendly staff and service
