Fratelli Fresh Bridge Street
Three food and drink areas divide up the underground space, each with its own marble topped bar and prep area. Fratelli Fresh Bridge Street features a bustling open kitchen and brick pizza oven. The space even has its own mozzarella bar where you can perch and sample the fresh produce on offer.
With low ceilings, lacquered concrete floors, moody down lights and liberal splashes of red, this is a completely unique Fratelli Fresh venue, however our passion to authentic Italian meals and fresh produce remains.
Whether celebrating a special occasion with family and friends or hosting a corporate event, Fratelli Fresh can accommodate all your special event needs.View Private Dining Details
As expected for a pre theatre dinner. Buzzing atmosphere and quick service. Possibly too loud for some?! Food good.
The service on this occasion was very poor. We waited a considerable time for food to arrive even while other tables around us (who all arrived after us) were served their entrees and mains first. No updates from the wait person
We arrived on time and had to queue 15 mi S before we could get to our table - the restaurant was chaotic . Service slow to start but food arrived quickly . Toilets dirty - I am in no hurry to return
The food and service always hits the spot at Fratelli Fresh restaurants. I gave our experience a low rating because the back area where we were seating had very poor acoustics. They should consider the old egg boxes placed under chairs trick and soft furnishings and some improved mood lighting as it’s a very stark area.
Very noisy but food good. Service slow. No record of open table booking. I had to show confirmation and luckily they found us a table on a very busy night.
Great food. Very noisy but fun.
Food is consistently good, wine was good value for the price point we selected. Table was in a nice position (we had booked in advance) - a convenient city dinner spot
A tasty and affordable meal, sufficiently served. Noise level a little high. Only spoilt by the men at the next table swearing.
We had a very enjoyable lunch with great food and service. It was great value too. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy.
Long wait for food, staff were rude when we asked how long food would take
Terrible or shocking take your pick. Place was empty service was non existent. Not surprising this restaurant has such bad reviews.
We ordered 4 things off the menu and were looking forward to grazing over antipasti, primo and secondi. We were disappointed when all 4 dishes were dumped on our table all at once. I kind of goes against what Italian dining is meant to be about. We were in and out in 40 minutes. Great if you are late for a show but not so good when you're looking for a relaxed meal.
We had a table of six for dinner. We had to ask for service and never really knew who our server was. Food came out cold and no one ever came to refill water or ask if we wanted more wine. This is the second time we have been to FF and we will not be coming back. Overall a very unpleasant experience.
I booked the restaurant for 7:30PM and it came up for 7:00pm instead on the booking. When we got the restaurant at 7:30pm, we waited awhile before we were seated. The waitress who was working there was abrupt and short. The service was horrible, the amazing food made up for the terrible service.
Again the service was disappointing the food was good
1st time there for a business lunch and was very impressed. Table was not so noisy, food was excellent and so was the service. Will definitely come back.
Friendly and efficient service. Extensive menu. Reasonably priced. All people in the group liked the food. Handy city location.
Noisy - so difficult to hear the waiter sometimes and to others at the same table.
One of the best Italian restaurant in town! Fresh ingredients, great wine list, good service, friendly staff!
A little hard to find at first because it is located in the basement of the Burns Philp Building and only has a relatively small entrance marked more by a list of menu items than the name of the restaurant. In fact, at first, we walked by it without even noticing it. Room was a former spice market but there is no sound absorbing material in the room so the noise level can be significant. Food is not anything special. Pizzas attempt to be creative in their mix of ingredients but most of the menu items (including the pizzas) tended to be overcooked and over-salted. Would not return.
The food was fantastic, as was the service. It can be a little loud when it gets busy but other than that, a nice experience.
Fantastic, as always. I love the food at Fratelli fresh and look forward to a return.
Service was disappointing - we seemed to be invisible - food was fine if a little expense -
Setting was busy but good - overall ok would go there again and hope for better service
There was a separate room being set up during lunch with tables being dragged in right by where we were sitting and almost hit our guests.. they also started drilling which meant we couldn't hear each other. Was an unpleasant experience
Top class napoletani styled pizzas in the city. Will definitely return.
Food was fresh and very good. It was a wonderful restaurant and I would recommend it for tourists.
Had an 8pm booking. The restaurant had run out of several items on the menu that we had chosen and our first choice of wine. This was very disappointing. Despite this the food and wine was very good and good value.
Great Italian food served simply in a basement CBD setting. Can get it a bit loud, and sometimes the pasta serves could be more generous. But the whole fish is great and zucchini flowers are amazing
avoid the back section unless you have a doona with you.
sooooooooooo cold! legs frozen!
We arrived early and the table was ready which was great, but we ordered a side of broccolini which never arrived. The waiter never checked on us so we didn't get a chance to ask for it. When the bill came we were charged for it, but they removed the cost when we pointed it out.
Great for casual Italian food and wine. Good happy hour.
Delicious food and beverages. Value for money. Took a bit of time to be served but the space is huge so understandable ! Overall great!
I was invited to taste the new season menu. The food was delicious, especially the zucchini dish.
Fantastic new Autumn menu matched with a high level of friendly service. What's not to like about Fratelli Fresh!!
The food was amazing. Aesthetically, the venue wasn't too appealing. We had to move from our seating as it was so cold. We then moved to really uncomfortable seating whereby you couldn't fit your legs comfortably under the table.
Pizza was authentically made.
The place was very cold and I had air con blasting on my back for the entire lunch. They should look to tone it down a bit.
Expected clean fresh food as had been to original in Waterloo. Disappointed with rushed, uninterested wait staff.
Food was tasty but not flavour filled.
Staff did not know wine list.
Can't stand that you make a booking for 8pm and immediately told kitchen closes at 9 and last drinks before 10. Good grief it's a Saturday night in the city. Pizzas and arancini were great. Pasta at best ordinary. Won't be going back as very disappointing
Great food quality, super fast food arrival (less than 5mins) but seemably in a rush to get us out
The food has unfortunately gone down hill over the past 18 months, the atmosphere is still wonderful and the girls serving were great!
Good ambience, nice setting and buzzy atmosphere, so ideal for lunch.
The food was reasonable - good range of starters and zucchini flowers were lovely. My friend's margarita was excellent but the lamb ragu pasta was a let down - no real flavour and quite plain.
The main disappointment was the service - we waited over 25 minutes between our (prompt) starters and mains. The waitress didn't once come over to us to explain the delay, even though plenty of other people were getting their mains.
