Absolutely love Frankie’s, love the decor, the atmosphere , staff friendliness and the food is just delicious
The interior inside Frankie is very nice, the updated menu is delicious however it’s quite expensive. We found the bao buns very average, the pork belly was really tough and dry and thin. Really yummy cocktails
I went to frankies with four other friends and we all left satisfied and full we also had fantastic service which helped guide us in our ordering
Trendy restaurant, close to Geelong CBD. Friendly and helpful staff, willing to make the dining experience the best it can be.
Amazing food, perfect for sharing and was a great night celebrating. Would recommend the crab and the bao buns! Slow service, only one bartender on but was manageable as we weren’t drinking. That might have been why! Everything was fantastic, love Frankie always!!
We were really excited to come here. Some of what we ordered was lovely but the service was terrible. We ordered a crab dish but the crab came out while with no way to break it up, when we asked for something we were given rusty pliers ....
We waited half an hour for 1 drink. Sadly disappointed in the experience, especially when we brought guests from out of town.
It was very disappointing to be told their plates are share food then to order a dish to share between 3 and they proceed to bring out 3 of the same dish........no apologies and then we were expected to pay for them !!
Also ordered drinks that took 20 mins to arrive at the table .
Booked for 5.45 - not told the table would be needed at 8.00pm . We were told at 7.55 that we had to leave in the next few minutes even thou they had just bought us drinks !!!!!
Definitely would not go back in a hurry - too many other good restaurants offering great service
Good quality food at reasonable prices. Excellent gluten free choices. Reasonably priced wine options. Service poor, very poor. One waiter only working - food service very slow.
We visited Frankie for my daughters 21st birthday lunch with her Nana. The service staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. The food was amazing, clean, fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back!
We were a table of four. We chose the “feed me” option, it started out with a great selection of entrees that were delicious. Then we had the bao which were quite nice, I am not a huge fan of these but the others on our table liked them. The main was the disappointing part though. Between four of us we got two dishes, and they were both pork. After the amazing selection of entrees we were left wondering if they’d forgotten to bring out the rest of the food... we waited for awhile and thought “nope, this must be it”
I’m not sure if I would go back, still undecided, the entrees saved it for me.
Dinner was delicious, well priced and the staff were lovely. Will definitely visit again
Lovely set up and pleasant staff
Good value, Tasty food and good drink choices.
Couldn’t fault the service.
The food however is saturated in and too much flavour. Everything was so overpowering.
Really enjoyed the meal. Great place to take a group and enjoy sharing the meals. Good value and service was great. Would definitely go back here again.
The main I had was very sweet without much flavour and had chilli through it which wasnt mentioned on the menu. It also took over 20 mins to have a drink order filled. The sides were very tastey though.
Booked into Frankie for a quick celebration, 5 family members looking for good food and a chance to catch up. The staff were great with our waiter (can’t remember his name sorry) looking after us and making some recommendations that were spot on! 5 old fashioned whiskies in the lovely private booth and we left feeling very content! Great asset to gtown and we will be back.
Kitchen closed a bit early (9pm)for a Friday which was disappointing as it is the type of menu that is fun to just keep ordering from. They also packed up around us which was unexpected as it is usually a busy little cocktail bar as well but it was near to empty.
Can not fault the food though. Delicious
The menu and drinks were quite expensive but the food was amazing, absolutely loved the new menu
The food at Frankie’s was absolutely delicious, we will definitely be back soon
Amazing Asian fusion with dishes full of flavour & well portioned! Great atmosphere, spacious dining with large bar
Service was friendly and helpful.
Food tasted amazingly yummy.
Great choice of drinks.
I didn't know Frankie existed until saw some reviews when looking for somewhere to go for lunch. The interior looks nice and music not too loud. Peking duck pancakes were tasty, though I prefer duck little less cooked and served with a bit more greens. Spicy sweet&sour pork belly bao was nice but to my liking the chutney was little overpowering. I simply could have just removed some. Chicken Laab was gorgeous. Loved sharing these dishes with girlfriend. Nice wine and wine glasses. Staff very friendly and mostly attentive. We were after coffees to finish but were forgotten for a while so didn't bother. Overall very enjoyable and will be back. Would be ideal for a group to share many dishes.
All our food choices were delicious, not huge servings but not too small either. Staff were helpful and provided the perfect amount of attention. Slightly on the expensive side: one main (which we shared) and three sharing plates with no drinks cost $74. Great for a special occasional meal!
Frankie as a venue is very lovely and inviting, we went on a Thursday and there weren't too many other groups in.
I was a little disappointed with the level of service because of this. Staff were nice however I didn't find them to be very attentive to our table, despite it seeming like a quiet night.
The food was nice, the only thing that I didn't overly rate was the hard shell crab, merely because we weren't aware of the correct way to eat it, we did ask staff how, however, didn't find their explanation of doing so to be helpful at all, so ended up just leaving it be as it was too difficult. Had we have known it was hard shell, we actually wouldn't have ordered it at all.
Overall we would return and recommend it to others but wouldn't order the crab and would hope that staff were just having an off night and will be more attentive next time we dine.
Fabulous food and cocktails . Great restaurant. Will definitely be back 😍
Great food and service. Recommend Frankie’s to others.
Great food , mains were a little salty due to too much soy in them but all our share items were delicious and the dumplings a+
This was our second visit to Frankie. The menu never disappoints, to die for flavours , so fresh.
Brittany was amazing as our waitress. She had a lot of fun with us as we were on a mum's night out and it had been awhile since we had gone out kids free! The cocktails were great, although a bit confusing with the size of the glasses. The food was scrumptious, I loved the spicy and sweet pork bao, however the desserts were a bit underwhelming.
The best part of the night was Brittany. It's hard to find great customer service in Geelong, but Brittany was amazing. Joked with us, had great suggestions for cocktails and food and just made our night out that little bit more special. So thank you :)
Very enjoyable meal and atmosphere.
Will definitely go a gain
Easy to choose from sharing plates that were all delicious. Also the huge cocktail menu made our girls night out lots of fun. Will be back.
Great service and beautiful food! Will definitely be coming back :)
Food took over 50 minutes to come out and the venue wasn’t booked to maximum capacity. Service was good. Waitress was friendly and tried to ensure high service. Food however was not overly special; ie the chicken larb was really bland and there was no dressing option so it was just like eating lettuce with unseasoned chicken mince. Presentation of meals were ‘pretty’ enough unfortunately for the price tag doesnt match value for money or culinary experience.
The best night I have had in a long time.
My seeing eye dog was given a complimentary carrot made very welcome.
Amazing food :) would definitely go back. Great service and entertaining waitstaff
Service was to pushy, food not authentic or a good fusion , or modern twist... cocktails not great , everything was average. But we had a good time - great company
Great food with pretty good service. Booth neat the food register and lack of outlook was the only drawback.
The chef came out of the kitchen and looked filthy. Otherwise would have rated excellent!
The menu looked so promising but the food was disappointing and quite expensive. The coleslaw on one of the starter dishes looked like it came out of a supermarket packet. We were seated near the front door and this was awkward when people were arriving. Waiters aprons looked in need of a good wash too.
Fantastic location, fantastic food! Really enjoyed our lunch meeting with clients. This is one of my favourite locations now.
