Found this on a Google search and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the ambiance was great! A rustic barn with great food! I’m so glad I found this, and I can’t wait to go back!
Enjoyed brunch in a beautiful building. Food was excellent as was the music provided. We will be back again.
Excellent brunch spot with a beautiful scenic view, and delicious local food.
Very enjoyable. Great service and food. Relaxing atmosphere. I felt very comfortable with the social distancing of tables. Highly recommend!
This is our favorite go to. The food is great & the location is so rustic
Went here for dinner for the first time. Many great choices on the menu. Everything appeared to be fresh. Ambience was nice and it was relatively quiet. Food was prepared well and served in a timely fashion.
our dinner entrees were delicious
surprisingly, our appetizers were mostly bland
Our server was very very good
Took my girlfriend there for a birthday only three people there on a Sunday At 6. Food was excellent. And priced nicely try the duck
I officially have a new favorite restaurant. A bit out of the way, but truly loved the whole experience. I had the veal parmigiana and it was the BEST I’ve ever had.
My wife and I ate dinner here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The food, service, and ambience were all better than we were hoping for. We had been here for dinner last year to celebrate a work accomplishment, and our initial experience (all positive) was one of the main reasons for deciding to come back for our anniversary. Everything was perfect, and we look forward to coming back several times in the future!
2/4 meals were incredible.
Loved the mushroom chowder and Swiss mushroom burger. Mushroom black garlic toast was cold and bland, tempura curry cauliflower was cold and very bland. Service was excellent and restaurant was beautiful. Will give it another try!
Service was a bit slow but the staff apologized and offered the starter for free. We haven’t dined here for quite some time and we’re impressed with the revamped menu. We dined outdoors and the menus were available on our phones to avoid contact. The staff was observed sanitizing after diners left.
Quiet well spaced during COVID-19. Attentive server. Delicious food served promptly. Definitely will return.
We visited to celebrate a friend's birthday. Since it's during COVID, we were only looking for a place to eat outdoors and this place popped on the list. I'm so glad that it did! While we ended up sitting inside due to a bee issue (the restaurant was able to accommodate us) the food did not disappoint! Great brunch and the carafes were perfect for the BYOB Prosecco and Tito's we brought. If you are a Bloody Mary lover, would recommend bringing your own favorite mix, but the OJ and Ruby Red mix we asked for to splash our mimosas with was perfect. Cheese and charcuterie board was delicious. Definitely recommend the blueberry muffins - best we've ever had!
The food was delicious, great service. The tables are very spread apart inside and outside on their covered patio. We had a wonderful date night! Highly recommend for any special occasion or quiet date night! :)
Great food! Good service. Only downside is that we had outside seating and by 8PM, it was 44F with no outside heaters. I was cold but my wife was just fine. Must be that cold blooded cast iron heart of hers! Did I mention this was our anniversary dinner?
We were on the outside patio due to the corona virus. It would be nice to have heat lamps or fire pits for outride dining. It would make a huge difference and allow people to enjoy outside dining through the end of November.
We had such a lovely time at this place and the food was delicious, the service outstanding-attentive without being intrusive (thank you, Renee!), and the ambience very realxing and pretty. The grounds of this place are gorgeous and live up to their reputation of being one of the nicest venues at which to celebrate that special occasion, from a wedding to a small family party. Definitely check this out.
We are early for a Sunday Brunch. Tables very well separated. Food was excellent and prices were very fair. Hope to return soon.
An Amazing and Romantic Evening. Felt Like A Getaway. Food Was Good Too! :)
Our first visit to Foxfire will not be our last! The food was excellent, service was great and the restaurant was quiet and rustic. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends and family.
Excellent food, beautiful setting.
Went for brunch. Lovely setting outdoors with tables sufficiently far apart. Gracious service. All of the food was very good, with one exception - don't bother with the chicken and waffles (which was a special). Highly recommend for before or after a trip to Longwood Gardens.
Got married here and went to Foxfire for our 1 yr anniversary. Food was wonderful just like at our wedding. Forgot it was a BYOB as well, but my wife remembered so we had some drinks to enjoy. Ate under the patio and had lots of spaces and under cover. We will be going more than just our anniversary that is for sure.
My husband and I were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary so we decided to make it a very special evening since we were married at The Stone Barn. Foxfire is top notch. I think it was the best meal that I’ve had in a restaurant. Food and service were outstanding. Will definitely be back.
Wonderful first time there. Outside dining with social distancing was perfect. Our server, Renee, was always available but never aggressive. The specials were just that - special! The music by Chris Lebresco was excellent and perfect volume. We will be back.
Ate brunch outdoors, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Apps and dessert were delicious. Staff was attentive and following safety guidelines, as well as the environment feeling safe and sound. Great experience!
Neat place, good food, on the pricey side. Service was poor and diminished the experience. Felt very rushed. They brought out our entrees before we were done our appetizers. Seemed they couldn't wait for us to leave.
This is the second time that we have dinned at the Foxfire since the Pandemic. Both dinning experiences were fabulous. The meal was hot and delicious, and the service was impeccable. We were pleased that the staff wore mask at all times. We are looking forward to returning.
It was our first night out since COVID restrictions last March. The food was wonderful, the service was outstanding and the location was beautiful. We sat outside and it was a lovely evening! Thank you!
lovely outdoor dining patio, beautiful country setting
Enjoyed birthday celebration while having Sunday brunch. Food , atmosphere, music and service was outstanding
Excellent food, a little noisy inside, will eat there again.
Never had a bad meal. love eating outside. staff very attentive. doesn't matter you order you can't go wrong.
Our food was excellent and our server was very professional and courteous! We hope to be back soon!
Everything about our meal was enjoyable & felt safe in a lovely outdoor ambiance. I ordered duck and the flavor combinations were excellent & unique. I had not had duck before and found it a bit tough & chewy. Otherwise, perfect. Will find occasions to return.
Food was delicious especially the crab cake with lump crab and the tuna appetizer. Very tasty. The plantings and landscape surrounding the outdoor dining made for a gorgeous evening and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. Do yourself a favor and visit soon to enjoy a lovely summer evening with friends.
Nice atmosphere, good food, great waitress.will definitely be back
I would recommend going to the Stone Barn. It did take a long time to get our food but it was very good!
Service was exceptional. Food very good. Mushroom soup was terrific, as was the Creme Brûlée. A good meal in a unique location. Would go back, for sure.
