Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst. Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options. The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

Delicious. Fresh.
First time here for dinner. I had the fried chicken. My girlfriend was not a fan of the cornbread or greens, but my husband loved his 7 cheese mac n cheese. Our server was excellent and intuitive. Capped the night with coffee. Perfect date night.

It didn't take long to get our meal and it was hot and very good. We did rate the service a little lower. Our waitress didn't say or do anything that was wrong, we just got the feeling that she was indifferent and rather not be there. It made the experience less than it could have been.

Friendly staff, great food. The tomato soup is excellent, as are all the pastas. You really can't go wrong here.

Family farmers from North Dakota came to visit. We were so happy to take them to Founding Farmers. We loved the food! And Founding Farmers uses Beyla honey, produced on a friend’s farm. We were thrilled to see that!

I was really disappointed with my experience at Founding Farmers in DC (really inattentive service and disappointing food), so was reluctant to suggest the one in Tysons. I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. It was a completely different restaurant experience and one I would want to repeat many times over.

I normally always get the steak and enchiladas and love them, but today I decided to branch out and try something different. The waiter recommended the seafood risotto and it was fabulous! Also lived the brie and the Virginia ham and biscuits appetizer.

The only issue I had was that my wings - of which I so wanted to be delicious - came burnt. I have never received burnt wings in a restaurant. That alone, left me doubting the whole experience. just won't order wings again - nor will I recommend them.

Excellent brunch
Wide range of food choices. Some items should have been refilled quicker and signature healthy drinks weren't available. Overall very good

Not for brunch. The buffet was miles from our table and frankly, not that impressive. We've eaten brunch at the Founding Farmers in Bethesda and it's not a buffet and the food was excellent. Our server never returned to our table to offer us more drinks, and generally, the place felt like a very busy diner and not anything like what I've come to expect from Founding Farmers. I will not return to this location for brunch. I was embarrassed because I was the one who suggested it to our friends.

I enjoy coming to founding farmers for brunch, there's good variety and delicious food. I like going to the Tysons branch since they have a buffet and parking. However, during my last 2 visits some of the dishes weren't that good. Like, the fried chicken was very salty, the salmon was too dry, the mac and cheese was missing salt, etc. Those are some dishes I really like eating there but i was disappointed with how they were cook. Also during one of our visits we weren't offered any extra dishes like the pancakes, and in my last visit I was offered a benedict, but it was so overcooked, it was like a boiled egg. The food quality has been going down like it's being rushed. One more thing, during my last visit my parking validation didn't work, i had to walk back to get it validated again but it still didn't work. I just ended up paying the $12 to get out. I've known founding farmers for years now and they have really good food, but the brunch at Tysons has been very inconsistent with the quality. I hope to see this improve again very soon.

This restaurant never disappoints! From the moment I entered and smelled buttery sweets in the bakery until I sat down with my plate running over with hot excellence, I knew this would be another great meal at Founding Farmers. I couldn't believe that as much as they had set out for Brunch, they still came around to offer everyone three more options and still two other waiters came around with fried shrimp or maple bacon skewers. It was amazing!!!

Dinner was disappointing- vegetable tagliatelle was bland. Roasted veggie sandwich is served cold & fries are nothing great.
Cauliflower “steak” is 1/2 a head of cauliflower & lacked flavor.
Probably won’t return

Founding Farmer’s is one of the best if not the best spot in the DC area for brunch. The food, service and attentions to detail is truly welcomed.

This has been my second time attending Founding Farmers by this time in the VA area. Shayan was our server for the night and he had very great customer service. Food was served in a timely matter and was delicious! My significant other enjoyed his meal and seeking to come back here again for a second time!

We arrived 30 minutes early they refused to seat us,..despite our table being empty. the Host was rude and on some sort of power trip with the families celebrating graduation. It took nearly 20 minutes to get water to our table and another 20 minutes to bring a bottle of wine. The food was generally good when it came out but the service was disappointingly bad.

Good breakfast ... probably the only restaurant in the area that serves breakfast that isn't an IHOP or similar place. However, I was disappointed that even though I indicated on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, we didn't get an especially good table or anything that told me the waiter or restaurant was aware of it.

The restaurant is way too noisy. Perhaps lowering the background music a bit would allow people to have conversations without yelling.

The front desk people were rude and seemed to forget who was the customer. Hostesses should be reminded that the customer is always right.

We arrived at 7:15 for a 7:30 reservation and were not seated until 8:15. Once we were seated the noise level in the dining room was completely unreasonable and made not only holding conversation impossible but it was incredibly difficult to hear the servers when they came to the table. The food was good, but I wouldn’t return or recommend to others.

My friend heard this place was good. The food was good, but much to our dismay, on Sunday morning, our only option was to pay $35 for brunch, and they expect a big tip on top of that. The food was good, but not $45-$50 good. My favorite was the french toast, brisket, and salmon. It would have been a better review had we gone at a time that we had a choice how much money we'd spend, and we would have rescheduled, but we were only in town for a short time, and this was the only time that worked for us. They validate parking, but even after the lady scanned my parking ticket, the meter required me to pay $6 for parking. I was in a hurry, so I just paid it instead of trying to go back in and figure out the problem. It's kind of an uppity place. I guess if you're used to eating at places that are way overpriced, and you have a lot of disposable income, it would be worth it, but it was painful for me to spend that much money on one meal for myself. I felt obligated to eat as much as possible to make it worth it, but I could only hold so much without feeling sick. In hindsight, I probably should have left as soon as I knew how expensive it was. As we left, I realized we could have just gotten a baked item as they have a little bakery section. That would have probably been a better option, but I didn't realize it at the time. Mostly, I was unhappy with the outrageous prices.
