Fork & Fingers
At Fork & Fingers we are all about mixing and melding exotic Indian flavours with cuisines from around the world.
We are modern yet very traditional at heart. Our Indian fusion menu is a sheer result of years of hard work, experimentation and passion for food. On one hand our fusion dishes will take you into a new world of contemporary/modern Indian food, while on the other hand, our traditional menu will transport you to our family homes in India.
As always excellent across the board - highly recommend, won't dissapoint
Delicious food and good customer service. Enjoyed our meal
Very good choice of food and great taste. An Indian restaurant with a difference
Dinner at Fork and Fingers was a lovely night. From the warm welcome on our arrival, to our being seated, to the yummy complimentary snack, to the scrumptious food, to the great friendly service, it was just fantastic all round. My elderly Mum was with us and she loved it too (and she can be pretty fussy, given the expert cook she is!). Thank you to you all. We look forward to coming back soon :)
The food was very good - nice fusion dishes.
The ambience wasn’t amazing as the restaurant wasn’t busy (but it was the Aussie day long weekend).
Service was fine. Funnily enough we had two people serving us - the female was less attentive (had to wait a little while to order more drinks) but the male was much better.
All in all, would highly recommend if you’re in the inner north west are!
So lucky to have this place as our local 'Indian' restaurant. The food is different to the usual, predictable fare. There is a great chef in the kitchen who is imaginative and knowledgable. There is traditional menu but also a fusion menu. Usually I'd steer clear of the fusuion, but not here. All the food is as visually exciting and interesting as it is tasty and professionally prepared and served. There is a passionate team here. They care. Do yourself a favour!
Great food, specially the butter chicken which we all rated as the best we had ever tasted! As we were the only ones there, the atmosphere was pretty stark but it was near Christmas. Service was very friendly but a dish was forgotten which was a bit slack considering it was only a table of four in the whole place. Definetly would go again though.
This was our first visit. The idea of Indian food fusion seemed intriguing and we were not disappointed. It does not have the traditional Indian food. The food was tasty and the staff very friendly. It had a sort of homely feeling. The owners went out of their way to provide a small treat at the end of our meal since we had gone there to celebrate a birthday.
Food was good but service was poor. Maybe they were short staffed on the day but waiting ~40 min for a meal is not up to standard especially when the place was not that busy!
Love the food here . My go to place to meet with friends when I am back in Melbourne
We went on a Tuesday night and found that it was a $22 buffet, all you can eat. Although the selection was limited (3 non veg and 1 veg) plus rice and Naans made to order, it was all very tasty. A very good meal at a great price. I would happily go back and order off the menu or do the buffet again.
A must visit for lovers of Indian. Graat staff very friendly and informative. We will be back.
food was good when we finally got it. Check you bill as we were overcharged
Love this place .... the food and service in fantastic 👌🏽
Sensational menu food, friendly & helpful waiters. Can’t wait to go back!
Great attentive staff without being pushy, excellent menu options and prices, appropriate waiting time for meals to come out, they even went to extra effort at it was for a birthday but most of all DELICIOUS food! Will be returning for sure.
Fabulous...love everything about this wonderful addition to Union Road.
Food was very tasty and interesting the staff were really helpful in explaining whaqt the different types of street food was like , service was fast and there was no wait staff hanging around you . Only complaint was a little bit noisy , but
would definitely go back again.
Indian fusion dishes were amazing! Definitely going back when the menu changes in July
So handy to have a kid pen to keep the kids entertained while we ate.
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered and immediately got a "good vibe". Started with a bottle of O'Leary Walker Polish Hill Riesling. My wife had a stater of tandoori prawns and I had a dried mango/tofu salad. Really nice. Next my wife had the Goan fish curry, hot, and I had the Aloo Gobi. We also had some basmati rice and a garlic naan. The rice was cooked perfectly, the grains not clumping together and the naan was beautiful. I finished off with a glass of my favourite "New World" whisky - Amrut Fusion. All up, for the 2 of us, including drinks was just over $120. Great value, great service and great food - we will definitely be back.
Fork & Fingers is a great restaurant that the staff make you feel very welcome from the time you walk in the door..The food is very creative and the restaurant turns the normally usual Indian dishes into an innovative & modern version which are delicious, especially the gulab jamin slice!..I would like to go back to try the Tandoori Lasagne!..mmm..the restaurant offered card making facilities to kids so they could present it to their mum on mothers day..and mum was presented with complimentary gift pack & refreshing dessert.
Fun place with intriguing food. Very reasonably priced, lovely service
Excellent Indian food - best in the area. Good service. Great selection of craft beer - including beer from Bridge Road Brewers. Highly recommended Indian restaurant. We have been there a few times and we will definitely go back. This is now our favourite restaurant in Ascot Vale!
This place is fantastic. Interesting unusual and delicious food. Fabulous and friendly service. Great value ... and BYO. Ticks all the boxes for me - also has a wonderful bottle shop opposite. Highly recommended!
A favourite local...stunning food, great hosts, ambience, fun & location.
The food was delicious and the service was very good ..highly recommended ❤
Something a little different, I m very hard to please and rarely feel a meal out is as good as we do at home! I m a pescatarian and I found some nice choices and food very tasty. Only little blip was that the waiter mixed one our orders up so we waited quite a long time for 2 out of 4 starters, he tried to memorise it! Would highly recommend you try this place but ask him to write your order down!!
Absolutely outstanding traditional Indian and creative cuisine.
Great friendly and knowledgeable staff
Knowledgeable staff who are passionate about the meals they serve. Great menu, modern Indian along with plenty of old favourites. Terrific modern decor suits the imaginative menu. A great addition to the area. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic meal with excellent service. Will be back again
The service was outstanding. The crab fusion special had all the attributes of a classic dish and should be permanently on the menu, particularly for those diners who like a punch. Kulfi was excellent.
Amazing food and service. Staff were friendly and accommendating. Defiantly recommend and will defiantly come back
Delicious food, both traditional and modern interpretations of classics. Staff were amazing, friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Good value for money.
We had a lovely dinner and the food was delicious!!
We ate at Fork & Fingers with friends for the second time to ensure our first visit was not a figment of our imaginations. I am happy to report that the experience was every bit as good second time around. As luck would have it we happened to book on the opening night of the Diwali festival. This meant the kind folk at the restaurant offered a special menu which consisted of a shot of of an experimental cocktail, three curry dishes with rice and naan with a dessert thrown in! Exceptional value at $20.00 per head.
We added in a couple of share plates of entrees which meant a possible over supply of food. Highlight dishes were the tandoori chicken entree with a twist and the beef and lentil curry. No protein dipped in a pre prepared curry gravy at the last moment prior to serving at this place. Sensibly priced drinks and passionate knowledgable service ensured an excellent affordable experience.
We will back soonest!
This was a special occasion to celebrate Diwali. There was an appropriate menu for this. The Indian food was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and effective. Overall, it was a fabulous night. I would highly recommend this to those looking for interesting Indian food.
Thanks guys, had a fabulous night at launch of new menu.
Stunning food, service, company and enjoyed live music.
Excellent.....excellent food and they really get the highest score for service.
Delicious food. Great staff! Loved it!
