It was a bit more simple than the yelp ads or photos. But the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Bibimbop was meh.
We ordered the all the plant based menu options and had a wonderful meal.
Several true good Vegan options available for my friend. Shrimp tacos were great!
Very casual spot with surprisingly good food. Went there before Second City Show, but would definitely return just to have the shrimp tacos and the ginger tea.
The food was so good and so reasonably priced!! Love that it’s BYOB too!
Rice bowl with shrimp = ok
Vegan flautas = filling okay, but didn’t like tortilla / Black beans on side = terrible presentation, didn’t taste as bad as they looked but not good enough to eat the whole thing (maybe had half)
Kimchi fries = awful (had all the ingredients we like, but poorly executed)
Amazing food at a simple place. Definitely worth the quick bite.
This place was awesome. We tried four different tacos and shared them all and they were all delicious. We also had the smoky black beans n rice and the French fries with a yummy dipping sauce. The owner and staff made you feel so welcome and were all so good. It was BYOB which was great to be able to bring your favorite bottles of wine in with you and no corkage fees! We will def go back to this place again when we are in Chicago and highly recommend it :0)
The vegan kimchi fries were INCREDIBLE! I’m already planning my next visit to order these again.
We wanted to grab something quick before going to a show. A couple tacos were just the right amount of food to eat before sitting for a bit. We also got the Kimchi Fries, which were awesome!
Came here with a friend for lunch. I got a vegan al pastor taco and he got the bibimbop. The taco was not as flavorful as I had hoped, but adding the sriracha helped. The bibimbop, however, was quite good. We drank water, but I asked for hot water as they were out of green tea, but have to admit that the water was not hot. It was, at best, luke warm. Regardless, I would give this place another try as I would order something new next time.
This is a gem that’s slightly off the Old Town beaten path but delivers outstanding food and friendly service, all at a great price. It has since become one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Restaurant was not busy on a Sunday afternoon around lunch time, I was surprised at the emptiness of the place. Cashier was friendly and allowed us to take our time browsing the menu. I was disappointed in the flavor of the tacos. The tofu al pastor was very bland and seemed to be missing salt completely. The fish taco was better and very crisp/hot. Boyfriend ordered two of the meat based tacos, which were good but not anything I would necessarily crave again. Kimchi fries were probably the best item we had on the menu— generous portion of kimchi and SPICY pork over crinkle fries.
Tacos were uneventful. Food was brought out at completely different times even though we were dinning in. Would not recommend.
This is a cool Korean/ Latin fusion takeout place with some very casual seating. Menu isn't huge but interesting with tacos, sandwiches, and rice bowls, all with a Korean twist. Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean but seating wasn't very comfortable.
Very creative and tasty combinations of flavors that play well off one another, and balance each other nicely. Great prices, fast service, and friendly service! Highly recommended.
Another great find via Opentable! Had a few hours to kill late night, and decided to find a place to eat and chill. Landed on this place and saw the high ratings, so I tried it out. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back, and the service extremely personal. The food itself was outstanding! Loved the fries and the bibimbap, as well as the various tacos! The Korean-Latin fusion worked, and this place was poppin' late night. Can't wait to go again!
Great food! Counter like service. Remember to BYOB.
Great food and very affordable! I love taking friends here and wowing their taste buds! I wasn’t sure to expect before I tried Korean/Mexican fusion, but I was beyond pleasantly surprised. One of my new favorites for meeting up with friends or a casual date. The owner is super kind, and I love that there are vegan options on the menu.
This was a great find. Casual place. The bibimbop bowls and shrimp tacos were delicious.
