Italian
One of the crowning jewels in Melbourne, the food capital of Australia is Foglia Di Fico. Based in Central Melbourne, this sleek and modern restaurant upholds all that is good about Italian fine dining, with bold flavours that have subtle complexity, and plating that make you feel like you can taste the dish before it has even been set down. The atmosphere on La Trobe Street will help you relax and loosen up your taste-buds in preparation for a riot of flavour. Only a short cab ride from Parliament house and the Fitzroy Gardens, and you will be transported to Italy on authentic flavours that you won’t easily forget. "All our pasta and sour dough are freshly made on the premises by Jerry's hands"

A nice little restaurant tucked on the corner. We had dinner there, service was absolutely brilliant. The staff considered younger patrons on the table, and were attentive to their needs. Some nice suggestions on the drinks too. Antipasto platter was really nice with variety of items thrown on the board. For me personally, the pasta missed the mark a little (crab), that said others in the party did enjoy their mains (lamb steak, spaghetti etc) immensely. With the portion size being really hearty, we didn’t try desert menu. Overall lovely experience for small gathering of friends for nice evening
