Way too long wait time just to order. The food and drinks were really nice and the theme of the restaurant was great.
I dont mind the idea of ordering at the bar instead of table service, however the lack of staff at the bar was ridiculous. It is a big venue and a lot of people are let in, but obviously to save money on wages it is extremely understaffed at the bar- we had to wait over half an hour each time we went to order which is insane. The bar staff were great but it's not fair to put the pressure on them of trying to serve so many people with so few staff. Bad management there.

My husband and I went for the second time in 2 months and found the staff attentive, professional and friendly.

Our hostess, the lovely Stephanie made the eve...she offered so much of herself explaining she loved hospitality and wanted to further her career overseas. This staff member should be recognised for excellence in customer service.

The food was of top quality, prepared well. We were communicated with each step of the way.

We've been to this place when it used to be Little Creatures Bar and it was always pumping with people then and you had table service. Fitzroy Social was basically empty when we arrived for a Sunday lunch. Only a couple of tables with people on them, so completely different to Little Creatures ambience. We waited at the front of the restaurant for a few minutes waiting to be shown to our table but we were completely ignored. So we walked up to the bar and said we had a reservation! We were then taken to a table right next to another couple (huh? there were heaps of other tables so we could at least have some level of privacy). I immediately asked if we could have one of the booth tables which got the nod.

We had the $59 for 2 people menu which include a shared plate of their 4 entrees, a main course each and a dessert, and also a glass of wine. From then on it was table service which was a relief. It appeared that if you weren't in a booth then you had to order your food and drinks at the bar and collect your own cutlery and salt/pepper from a table next to the bar.

The food was ok especially for the price. Entree was pork belly, arancini balls, 2 pieces of cinnamon calamari and 2 small slices of bread with home made butter. For mains I had the crumbed lamb cutlets and my husband had the eye fillet, both with a couple of sides. Serves were huge and the food was very tasty. And finally for dessert we had the salted caramel panna cotta and the chocolate ganache. And all of this with a glass of wine each and the price was only $59 for both of us. So very good value for money. The only downside was when we wanted another glass of wine and had to queue up at the bar behind other diners ordering their meals.

By the time we left there were quite a few more people dining so the atmosphere was a lot better. Overall a good experience with a few hiccups along the way. Perhaps a sign at the front asking diners to seat themselves would have been handy.

Amazing food and amazing value. It was a little loud for dinner with friends. And the dynamic was young.

The first time I went here the food was great but this time it wasn't. The bread for the burger was really dry, chips weren't as good either. Not sure if it was because it was a Saturday night and busy but it was better mid week. Steak was bland and serving sizes small for the cost of the meal.

Our Indian waiter was very abrupt. They were busy and don't employ enough staff to cater for the amount of tables hence service suffers. Food was ok, but portion were small

We really enjoyed our evening and would visit again! Also has some great function rooms. Great place if you like busy loud environments, hard to chat to other people unless they are next to you at the table. Loved the look of the plants and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The only things they could improve on would be faster serving of meals as they took a long time, shut the front door as it became really cold inside we were needing to put coats on.

Had a small birthday dinner with some mates, and the food was amazing. The bar staff were super friendly; They let me charge my phone :) Loved the lighting and the scenery is sublime.

We have been before but this time the food was cold it came out at different times it was slow and they mixed up the steaks.

OK this place is large -Talon our waiter was great- entrée 6pcs -3 each were great my main was excellent as was my dessert not too sure about the popcorn on the panna cotta-every thing was well paced no waiting for dishs and the cider was yummy-however by 8pm this place was getting noisy and where we sat-the mural wall side- we could smell a lot of cigarette smoke ahhhh

Fantastic atmosphere, great tasting food and friendly staff. Enjoyed the entree sharing and the salmon for main was cooked to perfection and my partner had the lamb cutlet which he thoroughly enjoyed. The salted caramel panacotte for dessert was so yummy. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back again.

Trying this venue for the first time and it was a very enjoyable experience. Food was creative and delicious, service was very good and the drink selection expansive without being overly expensive. A very good place to catch up with friends for a drink and a meal.

Loved this place, wait staff were excellent and the food modern and fresh. We lunched from the set menu and all the plates were delicious.

So disappointing! My husband has been there previously and he raved about it. Wow what a disappointment. The food was average (and I'm being very generous). Not sure if it was an "off night".

We thought we'd round the night off with coffees, one being an espresso and the other a macchiato . Clearly your team need to learn the definition of these coffees. After two coffees needing to be returned and the third still not right, we just didn't bother and left it.

Won't be revisiting as there are way to many places in Fitzroy that can cater for our needs.

We were ding for my wife's birthday. The service was great and the food was magnificent.
We were staying in Victoria parade so it was just two short tram rides to the restaurant.
We have already recommended this restaurant to others.
I cannot remember eating better food than we did on Friday; no fooling.
We live in Colac but we will be going back to Fitzroy Social without a doubt.

We went on a voucher for Sunday evening 6pm. Was already buzzing not over full. Food was delicious and hot. A couple of mix ups with the neighbouring table - we were given their food twice by different male waiters. Overall, we had a good night with our main waiter Katrina who was on the ball and picked up the slackness of the other waiters. She new instantly what we had ordered without checking and apologized for the mix up. Katrina was delightful, bubbly and although busy - was always attentive to us.

Exceptionally loud with booming rap music making conversation impossible. The food was function food standard of reasonable quality and as we were on a two for one deal good value. Otherwise wouldn't return. Service slow but staff lovely.

This was the first time we have been to Fitzroy Social. We were truly surprised. The food was very special and the wine complimented it. Stephanie waited on us and she was friendly, efficient and an assert to Fitzroy Social. We highly recommend this venue and we will return as soon as we can.
