Ferris Wheelers Backyard and BBQ
What a major disappointment! I had read reviews about the great service, however, that must not apply to those of us who chose o eat indoors. Cashier was nice enough, just didn’t seem to know much about the menu. We ordered our food, it was bright on a paper lined tray, no silverware, sauces etc. when we asked for sauces etc the guy who dropped off the food pointed to the corner.
That said, the food was creative and very good. If we try it again we will try the outside area. Maybe that is where the magic happens!!!
relaxed atmosphere. live music and a cool ferris wheel to keep you entertained. a great spot to hangout with friends.
We celebrated Father’s Day with several families and loved that you would make a reservation for such a large party and accomodate us so well! All of the food was great but the brisket queso was especially good! Highly recommend!
Our server was awesome! Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name. We were a large party and one couple was running late, so we were there for a couple hours. Our server was very patient and attentive the entire time. And the food was great too!
Waiter disappeared for a while and we had to
Ask someone else for our checks. Food was average nothing special
Super amazing BBQ, with fun for the kids and adults. Ambience is wonderful, casual. Food is high quality but casual. Drinks are yummy. I can't wait to come back.
Excellent service and food! Very fun atmosphere!
Great food. Cool ambience.
Vacationing in Dallas. We’d had dinner the night before at Rodeo Goat next door. (It was good). As we were leaving we noticed this place and it stuck with us.
You must sit outside!!! Inside is nothing special, but the outside was fantastic. Cold beers on tap. Ordered way too much food but it was all so good we had a hard time stopping. Must get the waffle fries nachos! Several families with small kids cane and went and it seemed like a good place for them. Kids ran around and played games. Groups of young beer drinkers sat near us and also had a good time. Really a must stop in Dallas.
Horrible service and not active at all. Dirty and I pleased waitstaff. The Farris Wheel wasn’t even working.
I definitely would - food & service both outstanding on every visit.
Ferris Wheelers was a fun place to take the family! Very casual atmosphere with outdoor picnic tables to hang out at for a while, along with bean bag toss games and a real Ferris wheel to ride! The bbq was pretty standard but good - we had the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs and everyone liked theirs. The sides and appetizers were nothing special. The wait staff was a little busy, but were friendly and did their best to be attentive. I would definitely go back to meet up with friends or family on any day with good weather.
My 1st trip, but it won't be my last. Great BBQ and friendly staff.
Food was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the ribs and the brisket nacho cheese fries when you go.
Great service and even better food!!! I can’t wait to eat here again.
Food was good and the service was friendly. We were disappointed that the Ferris wheel was closed but otherwise it was decent value for the money. Very casual atmosphere- bench seating and trays but we appreciated the waitress vs counter service. Queso, mac and cheese and ribs were particular hits as was the brisket!
Visit Dallas & the ferris for the 1st time. Celebrated my BDAY. The service was great with Ms. Chelsea and the Beef Brisket was OMG very GOOD.
It’s a local diner. Perfect for groups traveling because it’s near a few hotels. Parking is tight but they have a large valet team.
Ferris Wheelers is every Texans dream. Incredible BBQ, Great live music, great tap selection. And of course the Ferris Wheel itself! The brisket, ribs, and okra are by far the best I’ve ever had! You need to try this place before there’s a 2 hour wait out the door!
This is the second time I try to sit outside at Ferris wheel or‘s. The first time we tried the whole entire restaurant was sold out. And then this time I had reservations in the backyard and then they sold out for a wedding. They allowed me to reserve a spot inside, but when I got there there was no table reserved. There was no hostess or any semblance of a person who might’ve held the table. It wasn’t a big deal because it was not that busy. There was only one person working behind the counter and it took forever to get a beer or make an order because there is no table waitstaff service. It was a busy Saturday night. I guess the backyard party got the help. Prices are good and the corny dog appetizer is yum.
Food horrible. Service horrible. Drinks horrible. They were “out” of a lot of things we asked for. The Ferris wheel wasn’t running. Very disappointing.
