Playfully named Fatt Pundit it’s a combination of the common Chinese surname ‘Fatt’ with the Indian word ‘Pundit’ (a scholar).
Based on the colourful website we expected a little more from both the food and the ambiance.
Each dish was amazing, service and attention to detail outstanding. Will be returning.
The food is delicious and fresh! And the staff very friendly. I definitely recommend.
Our waiter Mervin was outstanding — polite, knowledgable and too notch service. Thank you for
making our experience so special!
I absolutely loved my time at Fatt Punditt. Firstly the staff are lovely and welcoming which always makes for a nice experience.
We opted for the chicken momo- Came with 2 delicious sauces -completely different from each other but equally as tasty
Starter was the spinach dish with yoghurt which was a mix of different tastes and textures but complemented each other very well.
Lamb chops were cooked to perfection and everyone should try them- good size and cooked to perfection.
I didn't love the chicken Manchurian as I've had better elsewhere however it was still tasty.
Lastly the delicious brownie- Another must have
I have recommended the restaurant to friends and family.
Fantastic food! The goat momo took me right back to Mumbai. The fish curry, burnt ginger rice and chicken lollipop were amazing . We went there for lunch and the food was soooooo good we decided to take a another whole order back home with us for dinner. Will definitely be going back .
Nice food packed with flavour. Some of the best lamb chops I've ever had. Rather expensive for what it is but well worth a try.
Food was amazing, service was quick, friendly staff.. and the sizzling brownie was out of this world!!
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was really friendly and attentive and fast. We had a brilliant time.
I have been following Fatt Punditt on Instagram for ages and the eat out to help out extension offer made me book it. The food was amazing. The momos were piping hot and tasty, we actually ordered more. The prawns flavoursome and soft shell crab was great.
We ordered so much food and everything was great. The spinach dish which we would normally never order as its spinach was probably the best dish we ordered. We stuck to the mocktails which were tasty.
The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful esp in these tough times.
The sizzling brownie was incredible and I honestly cant wait to go back for dinner again.
Unique fusion of hakka and indian cuisine - a must try!
The prawns were amazing. really great sharing dishes.
Vegetable dishes a bit too many fried, didn't feel healthy.
Would go back for sure.
From start to finish everything was slick but friendly, perfect for a lone diner
This place is a hidden gem in London. Absolutely mouth watering dishes and definitely attentive service. The tea is to be tried as is everything else. Go with friends, a date or alone it definitely is somewhere to be tried!!!
We started off with the guava and blackcurrant mocktails which were absolutely wonderful. Both were unique in flavour and super refreshing.
As portions are quite small the restaurant recommend ordering 5-6 items for 2 people. We went for the beef momos, crackling spinach, monkfish curry, ginger rice and lamb chops. We thought everything tasted great and well balanced, especially the monkfish curry. The lamb chops were also really well cooked, with a great amount of char but still remaining nice and juicy. We could have done without the momos though, as we didn’t think they were anything spectacular. We then got the sizzling brownie to finish, which seemed like an odd choice for dessert at an Indochinese restaurant but it was delicious and a super indulgent way to finish the meal.
Overall, the food is great and for the quality and location the prices aren’t too unreasonable, expect about £30pp. I would say the decor and presentation of the food could be improved but that’s not something that’ll keep me from going again.
Nice food and good dining experience. Would recommend
It is a great place to have food in Soho. Really enjoyed the food and would highly recommend.
Great food, wine & atmosphere...staff were friendly as celebrated a birthday there & did all they could to accommodate. Definitely a must try for real foodies! 👍🏽
Food was 10/10.. service was brilliant (I went with wife and child). Nothing really disappointed.
amazing food, slightly slow service but nothing that bothered us too much!
Went out for eat out to help out
The food is absolutely delicious, the service was great, and the price was so reasonable.
Food and service were great, good options for vegetarians. Restaurant itself was abit basic in terms of decor and vibe but I would go back.
Had a lovely time here -food was fabulous -definitely go back and recommend.
Fantastic food; full of flavour and perfect portion sizes. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurant atmosphere was very relaxed. Really a great place to eat!
Great food, great staff
Incredible food, really delicious enjoyed it all. My only criticism would be that some of the portions come in 3 (e.g 3 dumplings, 3 wings) for sharing it would make more sense for them to be an even number. Would recommend for a nice casual date night/lunch.
Food was delicious and service great, but felt like the price was slightly on the high side. Overall it came to £50 pp and we’d each had 2 beers each and 8 dishes to share (bread and rice counting as dishes)
Food was super. Momos were lovely, the goat in particular, and the other two dishes that really stood out were the monkfish curry and venison. Veg sides were great too, and not lacking in flavour! Only minor issue was that some of the dishes came a little too quickly, so our table was full and we were rushing to finish some to make space! Overall excellent and will return.
Incredibly tasty, had 6 plates and can not fault any of the dishes. All really, really good
Delicious, definitely recommended !
Yummy food except the momos. Everything else was lovely.
Excellent food. Lamb chops are amazing. I would prefer more spice. Momos are nice. Noodles come as a small plate but nicely spiced. They have a little kick.
Food is tasty. Not sure about the burnt ginger rice. I'd say it was just rice.
Food is really nice. However portions are very small considering the high price.
Wonderful meal! We ate here for EOTHO and I think it may be a little pricey without the discount but the food was delicious and I'll be back to try more of the menu.
Social distancing measures in place. However food was average and quite expensive for what it was- even with the eat out to help out discount!
Excellent food but portions are somewhat on the small side so value for money could be better. One of my favourite restaurants in London and make sure to try the sizzling brownie but stay away from the Manchurian Chicken!
