Playfully named Fatt Pundit it’s a combination of the common Chinese surname ‘Fatt’ with the Indian word ‘Pundit’ (a scholar).
Went out for eat out to help out
The food is absolutely delicious, the service was great, and the price was so reasonable.
Food and service were great, good options for vegetarians. Restaurant itself was abit basic in terms of decor and vibe but I would go back.
Had a lovely time here -food was fabulous -definitely go back and recommend.
Great food, great staff
Incredible food, really delicious enjoyed it all. My only criticism would be that some of the portions come in 3 (e.g 3 dumplings, 3 wings) for sharing it would make more sense for them to be an even number. Would recommend for a nice casual date night/lunch.
Food was delicious and service great, but felt like the price was slightly on the high side. Overall it came to £50 pp and we’d each had 2 beers each and 8 dishes to share (bread and rice counting as dishes)
Food was super. Momos were lovely, the goat in particular, and the other two dishes that really stood out were the monkfish curry and venison. Veg sides were great too, and not lacking in flavour! Only minor issue was that some of the dishes came a little too quickly, so our table was full and we were rushing to finish some to make space! Overall excellent and will return.
Incredibly tasty, had 6 plates and can not fault any of the dishes. All really, really good
Delicious, definitely recommended !
Yummy food except the momos. Everything else was lovely.
Excellent food. Lamb chops are amazing. I would prefer more spice. Momos are nice. Noodles come as a small plate but nicely spiced. They have a little kick.
Food is tasty. Not sure about the burnt ginger rice. I'd say it was just rice.
Food is really nice. However portions are very small considering the high price.
Wonderful meal! We ate here for EOTHO and I think it may be a little pricey without the discount but the food was delicious and I'll be back to try more of the menu.
Social distancing measures in place. However food was average and quite expensive for what it was- even with the eat out to help out discount!
Excellent food but portions are somewhat on the small side so value for money could be better. One of my favourite restaurants in London and make sure to try the sizzling brownie but stay away from the Manchurian Chicken!
Really excellent value for money. Every dish was rather good, without exception. We did go along with the Eat Out to Help Out offer, but we will return to it with their regular prices: the best value for money Indian in central London without a doubt, and with great food overall.
We went expecting a lovely meal however we were blown away but just how delicious everything was. We had 12 different menu items and every one was exquisite! The Spinach, Lamb and Venison in particular! Can't rate this place highly enough.
Delicious food but slightly overpriced considering the tiny portions.
One of the best examples of Indo-Chinese food I've had in the UK, along with friendly and engaged service. The only problem I has was resisting the urge to try everything.
The food here was fantastic! Highly recommended. The lamb chops were mind-blowing and the flavours of the cauliflower popcorn were so good too
The service was very good but the food was mediocre, none of the dishes tasted bad but were not memorable. Overall an okay experience but wouldn’t return, I expected more.
The ocra fried was what i came for as they are absolutely amazing! The staff are just too friendly and the food is divine!
They really have nice selection and also have a separate halal menu. We had the popcorn cauliflower, monkfish curry, and the crunchy crab. Tasted amazing. Also their dumplings and the sauces they come with just tasted delicious.
The mocktails I would say nothing really special. But you have to try the sizzling brownie dessert if you still have room.
Worth going to if you want something different from you normal Indian food.
Small plates to share. All very usual. But the Indian/Chinese combo makes this more than the usual run of the mill. All good, nice flavours and interesting menu.
Excellent food and service. A little expensive for example the bread was lovely but should have had more for the price.
The food was served quickly, hot and delicious. The service was excellent. Alex and his staff were great at ensuring we tried the best on offer. They truly ensured we had the best of the Tangra Cuisine.
The crackling spinach and momos were excellent. The chicken lollipops and bombay chilli shrimps were true to their Indo - Chinese influence. The monkfish curry was rich fresh - it paired perfectly with the burnt ginger rice. Lastly, the bing bread matched its flaky and buttery description!!
Overall - a winner and would definitely recommend!
Very tasty food! Made with love, the sevice was great too!
Always excellent, and right now it is possible to get a table. JUST GO!
Excellent place with extremely good service and food
Great service and amazing food. Will definitely be returning!
For what it’s worth, Fatt Pundit’s food does not deliver. Dishes aren’t fresh (dishes came out almost immediately after we orders indicating ready made) and is very expensive given the quality and size of dishes.
A delicious and wonderful meal out. The menu is great and has a really interesting selection of dishes - we had the momos, Monkfish curry, Lambchops and chilli prawns. Amazing flavours, great drinks (lovely cocktail menu) and fab service.
Excellent food. Venison was melt in the mouth. Never has spinach cooked like that.
Cocktails delicious. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!
Very nice food, especially the spinach salad. Worth trying!
Food was great! I would highly recommend the crackling spinach. So so good!
Limited for my dietary requirement (no onion and garlic)
Service was good. And food was good.
No noise which was great
