Playfully named Fatt Pundit it’s a combination of the common Chinese surname ‘Fatt’ with the Indian word ‘Pundit’ (a scholar).
Don’t come here without trying the crackling spinach!! We went for the Manchurian chicken and dry chilli rib eye and it was absolutely delicious! The waitresses were attentive and smiley. The atmosphere was great for conversation catch up and not too loud. We’ll be back here in the new year- I’ve already booked the table!!
Lunchtime visit and not too busy but still a good atmosphere. Food was excellent , would highly recommend the rabbit wontons and the shredded venison. The deep fried okra was a revelation and the crispy spinach was something different and well worth ordering.
Will definitely be back.
The food is just fantastic !
Loved the food and the service. Would definitely recommend eating here
Cracking spinach was Devine!! Only tip is ask if the food is spicy before ordering. Okra was very spicy for my pallet
First visit and we were really impressed by the interesting menu of small plates. We sat at the counter and chatted to the manager. Very friendly people and delicious food.
We will return!
Wish they didn’t put a single random man next to us, a couple when there were many tables free. We wanted a quite birthday meal in peace. There were many tables empty.
The food was decent
Service was 100% perfect
Excellent food. Loved all the dishes that we tried.
Very good food
Excellent service. Our waiter recommended amazing food and every mouthful was incredible. It can be a little bit noisy.
Very cool casual atmosphere, delicious food, quite rich, but amazing flavours and contemporary ideas for dishes.
Would love to go again sometime.
We had such a great evening. The food is truly amazing. The service was exceptional.
We will be back soon!
Really good food! We especially enjoyed the momos and the crackling spinach. The waitresses were to stressful though - it felt like they’re wanted to take our plates even though we hadn’t finished. The music was also pretty stressful - both contributed to that the ambience wasn’t so nice.
Great food at Fatt Pundit! Only feedback is that it is a bit too pricey for its portion size
Amazing food especially for veggies! Service was fine though not amazing.. would return
Another fantastic meal at the Fast Pundit - its hard not just to order 5 lots of crispy spinach though
Nourriture incroyablement bonne et de bonne qualité service efficace et souriant. Je recommande fortement
Well worth a try
Good food shame about heating not warm enough on arrival / wine glasses poor quality / needs to be higher refurbishmant of premises for this price point / no Amex pay facility / untrained waitress.
Very nice service and nice food, the only thing to improve it is that all the dishes were very spicy, I asked for non spicy recommendations but even the rice was hot!
Lovely food, service could have been better
My wife's b-day dinner, coming from abroad. Table below next to 2 crowded tables with TGF people next to the kitchen! Though better than looking into the WC!! Service ad hoc but nice waitress when available. Worst dinner in 20 years of marriage.
Incredible food from starters to dessert, always delivering punch crunch and the munch
Great food but too expensive
Both the service and food were outstanding. The gentleman that served us was so lovely and knowledgeable! He answered all questions about the heritage of the restaurant and recommended the beef dish to compliment our drinks of choice. I’ve already recommended the Fatt Pundit to all my family and friends and I can not wait to go back!
We were given a great welcome by the friendly staff and from the minute we sat down we were thoroughly pampered. The flavours were sensational and my venison was deliciously rich. The sizzling chocolate brownie was one of the many highlights. I suggest that anyone who has not been here adds it to their to do list.
Good food, try their signature dish: Momos and Venison.
Everything is quite spicy, but delicious 😋
Great food....great service....lived up to the reviews!
Best food ever!! Loved it
Lovely food, great vegetarian options, nice and spicy!
Good for friends get together, didn't see much of the chinese influence in the plates, rather there were both chinese and indian dishes I'd say albeit certainly Indian should not be read as "curry house Indian" Overall it was a good experience, no waiting to get our table, decently priced wine and overall affordable dinner for a friends catch-up. Only change I'd recommend is to keep the kitchen open for longer, we managed to squeeze in one last dish but could have been more
Food was fantastic! The staff stayed open a bit late so our group could have a meal after leaving a late work meeting. Everyone was so nice, and the food was so interesting. Can't wait to go back!
The food was incredible...I will go back to have more and more dumplings!
Outstanding lip-smacking food and amazing chutneys guava chilli cocktail is out of the world
Great service, fantastic food - absolute must!
We really enjoyed the whole experience. We were sat at the counter and very well looked after. The manager kindly helped us with the menu and made great suggestions. Every dish was amazing. Highly recommend.
Good food. Service very attentive but probably not value for money
Food was great and delicious! Even received free noodles due to religious event happening! however the waiter explained after it comes as its made and not together by which the food went cold also the aircon was on full blast which made the food and ourselves go cold.. this was the downpoint. Otherwise food was yummy and nice along with service and ambiance!
I live in Soho and because restaurants are so busy and so commercial, its unusual to get a meal which really stands out. But Fatt Pundit truly is excellent. Food that tastes so delicious that you hate the waiter for taking your empty plate away after you've finished. So many beautiful flavours and textures. Friendly service and nice wines that complement the food. Definitely recommended.
Great place best Indian food in London will go back
