Great value food and drinks. Would be great if you offered tea and coffee along with your dessert.
Food and place is awesome, the service needs some improvement. Just not enough staff to support requests from customers. Took a really long time to get the attention of a staff member to order firstly, then ongoing throughout the night.
People that came in after our table were served before us and the food took forever to come out despite the restaurant being half empty.
Food and drinks were great, however server didn’t have a great attitude and I kept having to ask what specials were before he brought me a menu. He also forgot to put through my food so everyone received their meals and finished their meals as I patiently waited and asked politely if it was coming and he acted like it was my fault and I didn’t order food. Error was fixed however just would appreciate friendlier service as I work in hospitality and feel it should always be how you work.
Had the best, most memorable 18th birthday party celebrations for our son. Staff were incredibly engaging and generous. Atmosphere, food and drinks were superb. The Manager totally made our night!!!
My partner and I loved the food, excellent choices for gluten free. Great food, wines and service and the staff are so friendly plus happy hour is fabulous. Excellent night, thank you
The experience was good as usual; the service excellent, no sooner did we arrive our order was taken; in on time at all the food was brought to our table. Well done again.
Maggie was a great host, calling me to make sure we were still coming in due to us running late. Was very helpful in recommending what to order for the table due to our size and made us feel very welcome.
10 out of 10.
I tried the fried chicken for the first time, it won't be the last time; it was very nice indeed. We will be back for more.
busy Friday night but our table was served on multiple occasions so very happy.
I really love the relaxed environment at this place, the service is great, the food very good and the value for money is outstanding. My friend and I really love the cider.
For a coeliac - this meal was amazing. It was a Friday night, which rookie error, meant we struggled to hear our friends talking, and there were no TV’s in the sitting area, so we ate and then left, but will def be back.
I really like the whole experience of dining here. The food was great, it's cooked to perfection. The value is the greatest. Another thing that we love is the views around us while we dine. It's not too busy or overcrowded.
We were 25mins late due to taxi issues and unable to reach them via phone. They held the table for us and were very accommodating. Service was consistently lovely and food great. Would definitely go back.
Had to wait a long time to order drinks and they were late purposely so that we can't avail Happy Hour!
Food was good but we had some orders messed up and we ended up eating different things from what we ordered. Not very happy to pay 2.50$ each in order to eat our own cake. The happy hour wasn’t that happy. Just 6 cocktails to choose from (plus beers and wines) and one of them was the spritz for 12$ that is the same price it has when it’s not on happy hour.
Food amazing. Staff delightful. Far too noisy. Wouldn’t go back on a weekend dinner. Felt like we were eating in a nightclub. Left without purchasing more drinks because of the noise. Otherwise, was a great place.
The service was very good; the food was great. We'll be back again for more of the same.
The food is great, service excellent; it's good to have views of city
Really helpful with our work event. Everyone had a ball and we will be back :)
This was the 2nd time we have been and this time we invited friends along. They loved it and so did we.
My wife has coeliac disease and her dietary needs were able to meet. We all had the set menu which was delivered with excellent service and was wonderful. Thank you once again and we will be back in the future.
Good food, good service, good value but the booth chairs have seen better days and need either a refurbish or replacing.
Great place for my coeliac daughter it’s her favourite restaurant
Nice place good service but ran out of No expresó martini’s
Just dined at Father’s Office for the first time tonight. It was so good! I have Coeliac Disease and felt that I could eat without any fear or anxiety as our waitress really understood what my needs were. Tash looked after us so well and was just lovely. The food was good and we will definitely be back!
The food, service and value for money was excellent! We will definitely be back when we return again to visit Melbourne.
We had a great gf meal and the atmosphere was awesome!!!
Great for groups
A favourite place when I’m in Melbourne. Great for something quick to eat or drink but equally good for something longer.
Excellent venue for before or after the theatre.
The service need to be a lot more on point, everything else was fantastic but disappointed with the service my partner said the same thing
The drinks were average- One person ordered a white wine which was not cold. Another person wanted a mocktail but was not available due to not having the ingredients for it. The service was average- it was slow, there was a point we wanted to order more drinks but could not get the attention of any of the staff. They seemed disinterested in giving us our bill- we had to get up from our table and search for a waiter to ask for our bill. It got verrrry loud after about 8pm as the rest of the place kind of turns into a nighclub. The music wasn't too bad but, it made it difficult to have conversations. In saying that, I would recommend Fathers Office as the location is great, very central in the city and it was good to be able to book online easy. The space is great, our group got a booth which seated us comfortably and with some privacy. The food was good and fairly priced- I really enjoyed the Veggie Stack.
Thanks to Andi and Fab for an awesome time! New booths are great. 😍
Great restaurant, service is excellent and the food is delicious!
Steak was very salty. Music was ridiculously loud, couldn't wait to leave. Might have been ok on a weeknight. Happy hour cocktails were very good however.
The lunch special from Mondays to Wednesdays is really great value for the quality of food and service you receive, highly recommend it!
Andi and Wayne were truly extraordinary. They blew me away minute free minute, joke after joke. I truly feel like they ran that lunch service like it was just another day, and the place was packed. Whatever you’re paying them, double it then double that again, because they deserve it! Give me more chips next time though.
The prices are very fair for the amount of food you get, I went for a date night with my partner and he got the Double Beef Burger with a side of chicken wings, while I got the Fisherman’s Basket. Very tasty food but the servings of sauce are really small for the amount of food there is. The sauces come in very small jars and just isn’t enough for the meal. This restaurant is also incredibly noisy, so noisy that me and my partner were nearly yelling just to hear each other. If you don’t like loud environments I don’t recommend coming here! But my partner and I overall very much enjoyed our experience here and will definitely come back at some point in the future.
Everything from service to venue made this an incredible experience. I am already looking to make an even bigger booking for next time. Quickly becoming my local, and I live 2 hours away!
Large noisy groups inside. Outside was a great option on the day. The $15 special is very good value. I upgraded my salad, an they waived the extra $5
I planned a birthday for my husbands. I dropped off a cake to surprise him. It was an ice cream cake that I bluntly mentioned. I also mentioned that I didn’t want the guests paying for the cake - the $2.50 per person charge- but instead I would shout that component. We agreed that they would bring the cake out at 8pm, once we had finished dinner. And then I was offered the service that they would take the cake back after happy birthday was sung and cut the cake for me. It was after 9 that I had to go request them to bring out the cake because guests wanted to leave. I then was given napkins and forks for the guest to eat their ICE CREAM cake. So I had to ask for side plates and spoons. The waiter said no, so I’m front of the guests I had to explain that the ice cream would melt, and a fork and napkin would make this dining experience poor- cause we wouldn’t be able to eat the ice cream.
She later bought the required spoons and side plates but didn’t cut the cake for us and serve it as promised.
Later while the guests were splitting the bill, I found out that she charged every guest individually for the cake fee. Was disappointed over all with the service on a Wednesday night- when the place wasn’t even fully booked. There was no attention to detail/ common sense when decisions were made.
