We ordered 10 dishes out of which 3 were really good and others were average. From pricing standpoint, i was very disappointed as each dish is quite expensive, and the reaultant food doesn't justifies the cost. The portion sizes were small. Ambience was good but being at Soho it's a mandatory thing. I will give overall 2 stars out of 5.

There's a deft touch at work here, in both the drinks menu and the food. Order the unusual things; they're delicious. For example, we really enjoyed the "Roasted Pumpkin, Courgette Salad & Goat’s Curd mousse, honey truffle."

Requested counter seats but was shown to a table. That was fine. Service was very good. One course came out only like warm and after a little difficulty getting ‘like-warm’ understood the dish was replaced. Food is very tasty and differ t to s traditional Indian experience but that was the attraction. Very expensive best for a very very special occasion. I had said on the booking it was for a birthday and the waiter at the end came out with a large candle in a very small sweet treat with happy birthday written on the plate- nice touch.

Farzi Cafe was aesthetically pleasing. The service was excecuted brilliantly with remembrance of the occasion by the staff who served me a complimentary congratulatory dessert plate for my graduation dinner. The waiter Abishay was allocated to us who topped up our water all the time, ensured we were satisfied with our meals and provided us with reccomendations which we loved! Me and my friend had the dal chawal aranchini which was a yummy vegetarian starter which surprised us. For the mains we picked the lamb shank nihari and the shwarama biryani- both delicious and the meat was so tender it was pulled like chicken! For the mocktails we chose berry crush and chai lychee- chai lychee is a hit and miss as it is sweet but has a punch to your throat whilst the berry crush was refreshing!

Fantastic service and great food. Only improvement, a tiny bit too much garlic on the prawn dish.

Thanks Farsi cafe we had a get time. Your staff even kept my toddler entertained on Sunday lunch. Very welcoming and lovely food. The lamb shanks were probably the favourite in our group.

We have been here about 3 times before food was very good but this time the food was not that great and the presentation of their chicken bao was just 2 bao on the plate did not expect that from them . Their chicken Biryani was over loaded with cardamom had to sent it back but overall the did not taste like before . Would give them another chance as previously food was really good

We had a booking after the theatre for 10 people at 9.30pm. The website clearly states that the post theatre menu is available from 9.30pm but the restaurant told us that it was only possible after 10.30pm (in line with Haymarket theatre timings), & then the kitchen closed at 10.45pm! Whereas we enjoyed the food & the private room where we were seated, we were still left with the feeling that we had been ripped off by being denied the post theatre menu that we had been expecting when we made the booking. I have emailed the restaurant but had zero response. 😤

Food was good, drinks as well. The only thing which puts off is the hurry for making the guests order the food. give us some time to read through and decide what we really want to order. please dont be so pushy. In the end the service and the humbleness of the people is what makes people come back again to the place. IN 2 hours the waiter came to our table every 2 mins for asking us to order as we dont have time to make the table available for you.

I loved the interior and low light setting of the place and our table for four was perfect. Service was a bit slow but friendly. The food was really good, loved their chicken starter and chicken tikka masala and the galoti kebab was something really different and must try.

My friends and I had a great time in this private dining room of Farzi Cafe despite some initial hiccups at the start of our meal. We arrived on time for our meal at 8.30pm on Friday 2nd August 2019, the table wasn’t quite ready so we were offered to have a ‘quick drink’ at the bar the bar whilst we waited- this is a fairly normal experience for busy and popular restaurants so we didn’t question it. 45 minutes later our table was still not ready and we had obviously become more and more hungry whilst waiting at the bar. Although the bar snacks and cocktails kept us going we were keen to sit down for our meal. When we confronted the manager about the time we had to wait, he patronisingly told us that this was very normal in London and if we had ever eaten at high end restaurants such as Roka, Nobu etc then we would know that this was ‘common practice’. We felt this was arrogant, patronising and rude, not that it needs mentioning but we do dine at such restaurants and know that this is not normal. However, one of the other much friendlier staff suggested our first round of drinks was on the house for having to wait for such a prolonged amount of time which we were happy about. When one of our party informed the others that our first round was on the house, the manager then proceeded to come over to our table and aggressively and extremely rudely applauded us by patronisingly clapping his hands in our direction. This we thought was unnecessary and totally uncalled for. From that point on however, the manager disappeared (much to our delight) and we were served our delicious food by other kind staff and had a lovely time. I would recommend this place, but quite obviously the manager could learn some manners and perhaps could benefit in some lessons in hospitality.

A bit of a traumatic booking. Was misinformed I could do a third party payment (gift for an anniversary) so I booked Farzi specifically for this reason, however was told on the day that it was in fact not possible. It was too late to change venues so My table then had to pay themselves.

Portions are small and food is pricey, for that kind of money one wouldn't want to be rushed though the evening and have the food dishes removed without checking once if it was ok to remove them. You would expect better service than that for this kind of money.
Drinks and food are exceptional only service needs to be improved.

The food, location and restaurant are lovely. However, the service is lacking. Of the 4 or 5 staff I spoke to, none were able to answer questions about the food or cocktail menu. They told different members of our party different versions of what was included in the pre theatre deal. Then they overcharged us. A lot more training is needed. A shame because it has great potential.

The Food was fantastic- we stuck to the vegetarian choices and everything was excellent. The service was a little hit and miss (they forgot drinks on several occasions) but it didn’t spoil the occasion. Overall it was reasonably priced as well given the quality.

I would recommend this restaurant on the food quality but the service was lacking when it wasn’t especially busy. We weren’t told that dishes come out as and when they are ready so had to ask why my husbands starter was so much later than mine. It was only explained then and can’t say we aren’t happy with dishes coming out like that? The service charge was added to the bill without question so if we wanted it removed, we would have had to ask. The tip should be optional for us and this way felt a little forced?

The service was excellent, the waiting staff were very helpful. The flavours were delicious, but both of our starters and mains were only just warm. My Chicken Tikka Masala had such great flavour but I would be exaggerating if I said I had at best a quarter of a chicken breast in my dish. I literally had 4 bits of chicken no bigger than a teaspoon each, when I queried this with our waitress, and after she had chats with the manager and chef, I was offered that they would cook an additional small portion but I would have to pay extra, completely missing the point that there simply wasn’t enough chicken in the dish. At £19 you would expect plenty of chicken, I literally had a bowl of sauce. If it wasn’t for the fact we were in a rush as we were going to the theatre I would’ve sent my meal back for all the reasons above. All this said, I would go again in the hope it was just a one off, as like I said the flavours and service were great.

Loved the food- paneer popcorn, butter chicken bao and tadka dahi are a must try. Chicken biryani was lovely and was a good sized portion for two. We were so stuffed that had no space for desserts.
