Farmer's Creekside Tavern & Inn
Each time we make a date night there, we are always pleased. Keep it up. We like the unique changes in dinner selections. We did appreciate the free bread for starters with this visit. The employees there have always been very attentive starting at the bar (very accommodating, making sure you are happy with the selected drinks that are offered) coat check, waiters and waitresses including bus persons. The host was excellent. Everyone is knowledgeable and resourceful. Will make this place our next date night.
We had a party of 4 at 11:30 on November 3rd (Sunday brunch). We generally enjoyed our visit. However, 1 person ordered french toast and another pancakes. We received 2 tiny allotments of syrup then were told (when we asked for more syrup) that 'we are all out of syrup.' This seems absurd. So, if anyone else had ordered a dish the rest of the day that had syrup as a condiment, they wouldn't have received syrup? The waitress was just so-so. She was very unhelpful and very unaccomodating when we asked for more syrup. We didn't think it was an unreasonable request. In addition, 2 people ordered the cornbeef dish in a skillet and one person remarked 'it tasted like regular deli corn beef, nothing special.'
We went early, at 4:45, and were seated next to the large windows overlooking the creek. It was beautiful! It was quiet until about 5:45 or so, so that was nice. The food and service were excellent. Around 6pm, we started to smell a horrible fishy smell coming from the kitchen area. Would not recommend the fish... it didn’t smell right. We ate the venison pie and it was great! Overall, it was a nice date at a nice place.

the service was extremely slow. Even placing the order. People were very nice. Very loud. Was difficult to talk across the table. Food was ok. Scallops were a little over done. The other meal was fine. Soups were very good. I do not mind spending on a nice dinning experience. This was not one.

Since our first experience with Rebecca, who is very knowledgeable about what they serve and how it is obtained, to our most recent experience with Monique, we have always had a wonderful meal and service. We are already booked for another table this week, and plan to be in at least once a week until we move. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our cocktail and dinner to celebrate my birthday. This is my second time dining at Farmers Creekside. The food is very good BUT I have never been to a upscale restaurant where I had to pay for my dinner rolls. I understand they are “artisan” but I find it outrageous that our party of 4 spent $6.00 on one roll each. Really!! If you want to charge for “artisan breads” but they should be an option. I think dinners deserve some type of bread to accompany their dinner without a charge!!!
We dined on a Sunday. It tasted like the food wasn’t as fresh at it should be. Given the price point we expected better quality.

Beautiful waterfront property with food to match! The French toast was probably the best I’ve ever had. The wine and beer selection is fantastic too and the sommelier was able to pick out wines that paired with our entire party’s food. Definitely worth the drive from buffalo.
My husband and I have always enjoyed going to the Farmer’s Creekside Tavern. The food, service, and ambiance are all superb.
Also, I tried a glass of the Osmote Seneca Lake Chardonnay Friday evening and found it excellent — so much so that I bought some today.
I am really surprised this venue received so many positive revues. The location is nice - across from a picturesque creek - but the food has a lot to be desired and rather pricey for what you get. The roast beef was dry, the lobster roll bland, and the chicken club mediocre at best. The server was pleasant enough, but all in all, I'd give this place a pass.
Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to in the Rochester area. Anything I have ever had here has been amazing. A real gem in the Rochester area!
Sat on the deck (river was noisy but no fault to anyone). Server was the sweetest and fun! The bread & local cheese plate was AMAZING! Entree of the cashew chicken salad was delicious (but maybe slightly overdressed it started to wilt). Dessert of the cake balls and ice cream was yummy!
We really enjoyed the night, the band, and our service! Definitely will visit again!
This used to be one of our favorite places but the last two meals were mediocre at best. The ambiance is excellent but the food prep has not been on point. Medium rare steak was served barely medium. I will probably give them one more chance but I have been disappointed of late.

This is our third opportunity to visit and enjoy this restaurant! My wife opted for the salmon; I chose the scallops. Both were done with creativity and superb taste. Highly recommended! And our server was a true delight. What more could you ask for in a restaurant?

A very pretty spot that has updated and decorated beautifully. The waitstaff is professional and well organised and the meals were very good. The outdoor areas are great if you visit on a nice day or evening. Highly recommended

This was our first visit to Creekside and the experience was amazing. From the moment we walked in the door to walking out the staff was amazing, the wine was excellent and the food was wonderful. We had a great server, (Emery) who was attentive, efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this tavern to anyone who asks. I would give you a 10 out of 10
Sophisticated food and great ambiance (inside or out).
The food was delicious! We had the poutine and mac & cheese for appetizers and they were wonderful. I had the hangar steak as an entree which was very good but a little on the rare side for an order that was supposed to be medium. The place is just beautiful! My only complaints are that the service was very slow. At one point we were offered a bread basket because of the long wait but that never materialized. The other issue was that the band was very loud making it extremely difficult to carry on a conversation on the outside deck.
First off, we have been 4 times & each time we had a great experience. This was the first time we sat at the High Top table by the bar. We liked that area & had wonderful service. As always, the food was great & so was the presentation. We always make sure we go out to the patio. One of the best views for a restaurant we know of. Enjoyed the music & the energy of the people outside. Can't wait to return.
Loved our experience at the restaurant. Very clean and well appointed decor. Major problem was our server. She was cold, stone faced and omitted telling us about the “other menu” from the downstairs restaurant which was casual and much more appropriate for the 7 yr old that we were dining with. (Even after we asked if she had a kids menu). Hopefully she was just having a bad day, otherwise management needs to seek her out and retain or remove her from the serving staff.
The best food and wine selection in Western New York.
Staff is engaging. Wine list is surprising; they've been featured regionally by Wine Spectator two years running. Food is creative & fresh, menu changes frequently. Chef graciously accommodates special needs. The view is charming. And in Leroy, they are conveniently located at the mid-way point between Rochester & Buffalo, which is fantastic for meeting friends/family coming from either city. Well done!
We've eaten at Farmer's Creekside twice now, once in May and once in July. The meal in May, our first, was fantastic, as we went with another couple and enjoyed excellent attention from the kitchen staff and chef, as our friends are regulars. The food quality was perfection (I had the London Broil and my husband had the Lamb chops), and we were very satisfied with the taste and portions. The location along the Creek is beautiful and the interior space is well appointed, and has a great energy flow with generous windows that overlook the creek and bring in great light. All of these things made that first experience something we wanted to do again. Our second visit was a few days ago. Since most of the restaurants in Rochester have recently released new seasonal menus because summer veggies are starting to come in, we were excited to see what was on offer. Unfortunately, our reservation coincided with the annual Oatka Creek Festival, which meant a reduced/condensed menu, and a lot of families, which meant the upper rooftop deck seating area was very loud, and the lower creekside area was also crowded and noisy. We sat inside at a great table in the 'middle' dining room, with the bar to one side (nearly empty) and the dining room that overlooks the creek to the other side (it was full). While we appreciated the hostess's thoughtfulness in selecting that comfortable table, which was quiet and still provided a view, we were a little disappointed by the condensed menu - and the fact that everything on it was the same as back in May. (Meaning, we had hoped to see more new options.) My husband had the London Broil this time, and I got the Crab Cakes appetizer with a Tavern salad as my main. We also got a cheese plate/board to share as an appetizer. Again, food quality was excellent and very satisfying, and the salad especially was fantastic - with a truffle dressing over arugula, with feta, kalamatas and capers - it was savory and bright and really lovely.

Don’t go during Oatka Fest. Fixed menu. NYStrip was VERY tough. Very loud and service was poor at best. Sat our group of 4 in between two large parties. Got lost in the shuffle. Waitress had a very unapologetic attitude which contributed to experience. It’ll be awhile before we give it another go. Fellow diner got chicken which she indicated was undercooked and not worth the price (for chicken)z
We shared a lovely summer evening dinner with friends mid week on the second level deck overlooking the creek. The restaurant was not busy. It is very charming, however our service was mediocre at best . Items asked for were forgotten and the food took forever, when our food finally did arrive it was stellar!! We had a variety of things at the table starting with the calamari and bisque for entrees the seared tuna, crab cakes, 1/2 chicken and the grilled pork chop, we finished off with a delicious cheesecake and coffee. Every dish was delicious and worth the wait. We will return perhaps it was just an off night for our young waitress.
We sat outside on a beautiful evening and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Had the Northern Pike. Wow! Can’t wait to rerun. Am telling everyone and posted it on FB. Thank you Bill for creating this tavern and Inn. Well done!
